Picking up the truck took us 30 minutes. The lady on the phone was super helpful, but it was a painful process. Dropping the truck wasn't easy. The place where we had to leave the car had a regular vehicle, making the process challenging. Maybe you should mark those parking spots as "for U-Haul only." Also, the lock was giving us a hard time. In that tiny area, it was challenging having it open.

It’s not a very clean location. There’s no access for older or disabled people. The curb to the store is very high. The gentleman who helped us was very nice, but if you are not willing to do everything on your phone, you’re gonna be out of luck. There was no opportunity to print out Receipt, etc..

The worker/owner at the location told me to move aside so he could help other customers when I had waited in line like everyone else at the gas station. I had selected in person check-in instead of online because I have my toddler with me and it was very inconvenient and I have self service in the area of the pick up location. The man was very rude and incredibly unprofessional. The inside floor of the vehicle was very dirty as was windshield and there was debris and And garbage left in the cab as well as the trailer from previous customers. The mileage was .8 miles off and did not update correctly.

Odd drop-off location considering it was an Exxon station. I wasn't sure I was at the correct location, no signage, nothing.

They do not know how to rent trailers. Period. It is a gas station with gas station attendant employees who have zero knowledge. Horrible experience

Windshield, side Windows and mirrors smeared with bugs. The can inside was clean but had to use windex to remove bugs just to see Also the back right tire needed air since it had less than 70psi

The cost for a 3.5 hour rental is ridicules. There were charges there that I didn’t need. So it will be a while before I rent again.

The last time I rented a U-Haul truck, it was 1997. I swear the truck I picked up Friday, was the same one. It had well over 100,000 miles on it, manual crank windows, manual mirror adjustment, no cruise control, and a key to start it. It ran fine, which was a blessing, but the whole process was horrible and I wouldn’t rent from them again. I had selected to pick up the truck at an actual U-Haul rental/ storage facility which was 5 minutes from my house. I received an email saying the size truck I wanted wasn’t available there, and they moved my pickup to an Exxon gas station 15 minutes away. I get there, and the cashier says he doesn’t do anything with the trucks and I need to go online and do a mobile pickup. I check my email, there’s nothing from U-Haul saying it’s a mobile pickup. I download the app and there’s no way to check in and do a mobile pickup. I call U-Haul, and am told my rental isn’t available for mobile pickup. I explain the situation about being at an Exxon, and after a couple transfers, it takes 30 to reclassify the rental so I can pick it up. Since U-Haul is the one that changed my pickup location, they should have also changed the type of pickup. We also rented a dolly. The online CSR said the dolly would be in the truck, it wasn’t, she then said, oh the Exxon person readies the trucks for pickup and should be able to give you a dolly. The cashier says, no we don’t do anything with the trucks, we don’t have dolly’s to give out. She then offered to try and find a dolly in my area and I’ll have to go drive around and get it, really? Luckily we only needed a dolly at our destination, not for loading. So we cancelled the dolly and will rent one once we get to our location. While the CSR tried to be helpful, the fact that I didn’t leave the gas station until almost an hour into my rental, was really annoying as we still had to load it in order to leave early the next morning. Also, the interior was relatively clean, but there were a couple empty water bottles inside the cab and the outside had clearly not been washed in quite a while, there were many layers of dead bugs and bird droppings.

Truck was parked in a narrow parking space, with less than 6 inches of clearance against a hedge of holly bushes on the driver side. I was scratched up pretty bad trying to get into the vehicle. Who parks like that?

The Uhaul was so dirty I could barely see out of the windows. No one at the location (Exxon) or on the phone could help get the lock box open. The customer service rep told me that the person in charge went home early and she wasn't sure so just do the best I could with the app . I was at the Exxon location outside for almost an hour trying to get the lock box open and help from customer service. Uhaual was disgustingly dirty and windows never washed.
