I could not even move the truck out of the yard better yet not even from the exact parking spot where it sat when I arrived for pickup. Lot was not plowed I booked 2 days in advance for 6am. Got there after 35 mins after 6 I got approval. Then I tried to backup could move could move forward spin spin. I called for help they called a tow truck from ottawa when I informed them there plenty of tow in perth. PURE NONSENSE! I even went and got sand of coarse it didn't work. By 1230 I gave up no tow nothing lack of management,maintenance organization,lack of initiative, no common sense, lack of customer service,etc. On top of that I have to wait for my money back bullshit. I had to do all the work and to have the employee look and ask me the customer anything I could have tried. Who the hell in this world actually helps customers anymore? Everyone wants to get paid and not put in any effort. Out of this failure my kids do r have mattress for their beds. Again I won't be surprised uhaul will take my money. The minute I cancelled money should be put straight in my account. Can't take money from someone and not do the job. In conclusion I WANT MY F**CKING MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! MINE NOT YOURS! I guess I will sleep on the floor tonight.BRENT A.

I had to wait almost an hour for the employee to return from lunch, and there was no gas in the vehicle when I picked it up. Since I was already very late this was an added inconvenience that was not needed on top of everything.Sarah M.

In essence, there was very little communication. Even though my rental time went beyond the closing time of this location, I was not warned that the fences would be locked. When I got back, my car was impossible to get out. I had no choice but to drive the empty truck back home, 90km away, and then return it the next day. I called repeatedly to sort this out, but never got an answer. The VM box was always full. When I showed up the next day during "open" hours to drop the truck and get my car, nobody was on site. I was then charged with the extra 180km of trip even though the owner was at fault. I demand a refund for that distance.Julien D.

The trucks mechanical state was not up to par all day when driving all you could smell was a rotten egg smell which indicates to me that you catalytic converter is gone and perhaps that's why it consumes so much gas I drove 300 km and spent $300 in gas not impressed at all by the age of the truck that we were given as well it says fuel-efficient fuel saver on the side I didn't save any money on fuel and I've done this movie before and never spend any more than $150 in gasJOSEPH B.

First of all, your rates are absolutely atrocious. Cost of fuel aside, your actual rates are triple from last year. The location I dealt with promised a discount for cleaning and folding moving blankets. Didn't see any discount. I will not be using uhaul again and will be deflecting people from uhaul services moving forward. I work in the auto industry and have been for 21 years. The truck itself needs maintenance. The alignment was off and truck was unsafe to drive at highway speeds as it had a hard pull to the right. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. Truck was dirty in the cab with used coffee cups and water bottles, i had to clean the bed of the truck so i could load my furniture, was not impressed as you have a clean vehicle policyScott R.
Rental had Tim Hortons garbage under the middle jump seat and smelled of coffee - the passenger seat had coffee stains and what might have been a donut coating on the seat. Was quoted when booking $0.89 per km but was charged $1.43â€¦maybe I missed something in the fine printâ€¦.Karen J.

The U-Haul customer service and allocation was absolutely horrific. The original equipment request was honoured but would have required a pick-up 1.5 hours away in the opposite direction, I tried to change equipment and was given a trailer at almost double the cost. I had to stay overnight at a hotel with the trailer, U-Haul should recommend that custormer's bring their own padlock to lock the trailer door. If not make locks available at rental location. Otherwise service was great.Mart H.

My complaints are with the uhaul system. They tried to get me to have a pickup 3 hours from where I live instead of somewhere on my route. I had to complain and actually cancel my booking in order for someone at uhaul to take me seriously. Trying to get through to the people at the center that assigns the pickups is impossible. I have no complaints with this Perth location however.Jonathan M.

I was under the impression based on the website that this would be set up with a lock box. The keys were in the back of the truck. I was unable to retrieve them as the lock was frozen I had to call a friend to assit me. I lost 3/4 of an hour. I had a moving crew waiting for me also. There was also only 5 blankets provided.Julia F.

I continued to get text messages from Uhaul all day, it told me to edit my account, I edited my pick up time, it said not available at this location. For several hours, I was under the impression I cannot rent the truck. I was frustrated by all these online messages trucks not available and add one and get moving quote. I called location they assured me truck was available. Then why all the messages? I'm trying to move not read texts from the rental truck business. Bill twice the amount. It's not my first time renting a uhaul. Last time was much better. I will never do it again. I had a quote to be moved in it's entirety, for 1 day for $450.00 taxes included. With the final bill and has it cost me way more to rental a uhaul. Back of truck was not clean, the uhaul system was down, when picking up the truckI had even less time to use. Nightmare. Hate driving ford because of seatbelt. I said pick up mobile when given the choice. Was not able to use. Online ordering, confirming is flawed. I initially was given an option online for a smiths falls location that no longer exists. Last minute I had to drive 40 mins one way out of my way just to rent. Never renting a truck. Will hire a local, non franchise movers for all future moves. People at location pick up were most helpful, I'm glad they were there. Otherwise,I would have waited and hired a moving company. Or ask friends. Still not moved in. Won't have funds to move the rest for a month. I will never recommend this company.Robin K.
This is not a comment on this location, but on the safety of the truck. The windshield wipers did not work, there was no wiper fluid or the pump was broken and as well the tires of the truck were inadequate for a winter location. The tires were for a hot climate that does not see ice or snow. The whole trip took twice as long as it should have and when I complained about the safety issues I was not re-assured that they would be looked at seriously. Nor was I provided with any break in the cost.Kevin C.

When a customer brings back a truck within business hours, make sure to sign it back in at the time they bring it back. I brought back a truck 30 minutes before it was due back and gave the keys to the employee working at the desk but they decided not to sign it back in until the next day, so I was called by a uHaul representative and told I will be getting a service charge because it was deemed as â€œlateâ€ yet it was due to employee negligence. I explained this later to the rep on the phone and it has since been taken care of, but this situation and unnecessary service fee could have easily been avoided. I tried booking online which was a huge fail. The system errored while processing. I had to speak to 4 people who all kept passing me on. Finally the last person was able to cancel the online booking. I will never book online, to much crap and nonsense when the system fails. So I called my local Uhaul place and bam, he got me set up within minutes.Payge T.
