If I had known they had their racism proudly displayed in the front window, I'd have gone to Enterprise. And the app didn't work, so if the business hadn't been open for my pickup time, I'd have been in trouble.

LAURA SGreetings! We returned the UHaul truck today reserved under this contract at 8:00 AM ish in Kelso Washington which is 48 miles north and beyond where we live and unpacked our moved material. When the reservation was made, we were "incentivized" to drop the truck at that location (rather than something more local) for the benefit of UHaul and were allowed a discount on the initial quote we received. Doing so added 45 miles and two hours of time (there and back)....we only agreed to this arrangement to receive the "perceived" discount. You will note that the vehicle was returned in less than 24 hours from the time of pick up. The initial quote included: The cost of a 10 foot truck for up to 3 days/380 miles at $209.00 Safe move insurance of $45 Safe trip fee of 7.00 Environmental fee of $5.00 Total: $266.00 The total we expected to pay UHAUL was $266.00 (see attached order/reservation). These were the "transparent fees" we anticipated in making the reservation. Additionally we expected to pay for the gas to top off the initial fuel tank. Our gas tank upon receipt was not full, and down by 1/8 of a tank. We were instructed to return the vehicle at the same fuel tank capacity. The cost to fill the tank to completely full was $97.50 and that was how it was returned, benefiting U-Haul by at least an eighth of a tank of gas (? gal X $7.50 that was quoted to us to be charged if it was not brought back to the level at embarcation). When we got to the facility in Kelso, the agent initially wanted to charge us for "extra miles" (7). I disputed the fact since, even with the additional miles added (reminder: this was for the benefit of U-Haul), the total mileage came to 344, not the 380 allotted in the attached agreement. (mileage out: 34703.0 and mileage in: 35047). Clearly the agent was having difficulty with basic math. She acknowledged to us that the final total for this rental was $266.00 (excluding gas) but we did not receive an invoice or confirmation of this since I had the initial order/reservation paperwork with me (and showed it to her). Beyond that and what was NOT transparent in our original quote/reservation/agreement was a "vehicle license recovery fee" of $10.00 and a "Rental tax" of $28.01. These additional fees essentially canceled any benefit that was offered to deliver the truck at U-Haul's preferred site and we respectfully request they be waived and our credit card credited. I would hate to assume that this is some type of predatory, disguised "fee or tax" (that has been in the news and with which local legislators are keen to address). We sincerely hope that these are oversights to which U-Haul will address and refund to us based on the order/reservation to which we agreed. Thank you in advance for your consideration to this matter. Kind Regards, Philip King and Cindy van Dijk
Philip KI don't think it's appropriate for a business to display political signs for one party or the other.
kathy wOver charged due to erroneous beginning mileage. Will not reserve Uhaul rentals again.
KYLE KThe manager was excellent to work with.
STEPHEN MInspect vehicles prior to sending them out with a customer. Didn’t get out Medford without having an issue with finding screws in 2 different tires. A separate dealer came to fix the tires was very good and professional. Next was the issue was the vehicle broke down 90 miles out of Spokane. Vehicle couldn’t be driven safely due to heavy vibration. Had to wait for a tow company which were excellent to work with. Consciousness and represented U-Haul exceptionally well. The owners of Superior Towing went out of their way to care for us in an unpleasant situation. They made sure we were dropped off at the hotel at 3 am and stayed until we were taken care of for the night. Actually came back the next morning to make sure we were ok and helped with getting a new truck to finish our trip.
Frank Acheck what truck is in front before writing the contract
Tiffani HHave staff walk to rental and check gas mileage before customer leaves and there should be a one day rental fee for one day. You force people to rent three days fee for having a rental truck for less than1 hours! Sad….. Not very ethical in my mind. Lesson learned
SHANNON BMy U-Haul smelled of cat urine so for 5 hrs I had to ride with that smell and when I called the U-Haul provider he asked if I had been smoking drugs!! Because I asked to be compensated for the nasty U-Haul!! I paid 600 dollars for that rental! I want a rerun or some sort of compensation!! Brittsam84@yahoo.com
Sam BI was not told that I was supposed to put gas in because I was only going 20 miles I figured and I was being overcharged since 1999. I paid $72 and then I was charged 200 extra dollars which I am supposed to talk to him in a couple days if not, I guess we’re gonna have to go to court because, I would never recommend U-Haul ever again and I’ve used you guys many many many times on top of $73
David SGood products
JAMES HEasy drop off, place was closed,
Mikel HMy original reservation was canceled. Caused my trip to start and end late. Second reservation fell through because the person running the location decided to leave early. I called and tried to get him to fofill his obligation of renting me the tow dolly. He did not return and wasn’t at all concerned about my problems. I called uhaul 888 number. The woman was helpful and located me one back in Medford. So I returned to Medford. The owner of the shop was Mark, he and his employee we’re awesome. They were able to rent me the tow dolly even though the uhaul site was seemingly not allowing it. Overall a lousy experience with uhaul. I hope to never need to rent equipment of any type from them again. I found managers at crater lake location to be less than helpful in resolving the mistakes that left me without the original trailer that I reserved. The series of problems due to uhaul dropping the ball several times caused me to be on the road for much longer than I should have been. The run-around costed me plenty of dollars in diesel. I would like very much to be remembered for my added expenses, I have seen that empathy is not uhauls strong point so I won’t hold my breath on that. I am considering doing a more formal complaint-it’s not that your two locations in Oregon don’t deserve it, it’s more that I think it will fall on deaf ears.
MARK HThanks
Boessl ARental experience was very smooth.
Roger RI can't think of any approvment needed, very very good service.
Lloyd AVery helpful staff. It was easy to extend the rental and take the extra time we needed to move things into our new home. Thank you!
Richard RAttendant was very nice. Truck looked good but the gas tank had been broken by thieves and needed repair before the truck could be used. All 4 of the large trucks available had their gas tanks damaged. Better security would help prevent this in the future.
Jess WGreat guy helped me.
Les dYou guys charged me for the biggest box truck which is stealing, then charged me for the coverage that I didn’t want and you said you were pups fix it when I returned it. Then told me I was dumb because I didn’t want the coverage AFTER IT WAS ALREADY RETURNED!!! And then told me to call Corprate for a refund. That’s stealing and it’s illegal
Sebastian WI’ve used this location twice, the only gripe I have is with the fuel return. On both times that I have rented the truck I have been socked with a fuel charge. I drove the truck 5 miles to my destination to move my 20foot trailer three spaces over. I can’t imagine the truck used two gallons of fuel to do that. I also put one gallon of my own gas in at a gas station!!! So not only do I put a gallon of my own fuel in, I am also paying a higher priced two additional gallons from UHAUL. So this truck rental becomes a $52.00 rental after paying for the insurance? Other than that, everything else was fine…please fix this issue. Thank you.
Sean SThis was not the first drop-off place. We had a big problem with this. The original drop-off place told me that we were not scheduled to leave our trailer there. At that time I didn't have the original paper with me so I couldn't tell what. We were told to go to a second location. They simple said they didn't have space for us. We asked for help to at least unload my car from the trailer. Only got help to take the straps out. It was very difficult to put my car down. I know it is private property and they are not supposed to help with that but basic decency says the opposite. Then we call 800gohual. The person on the line couldn't say which place to go. They sent us to a wrong place after telling us to stay on the first one that rejected us. This person on the phone finally got the final place to drop-off. The guy there was fine but if you're running a business let me tell you that you should not display political affiliation on your work space for everyone to see. I have nothing bad to say about the last location except that it took forever. I can say that I won't be using uhaul for my next move even if you are the cheapest of all.
juan gWonderful place. Folks in there are awesome. Highly recommend!
Jacklyn MApp check in was very frustrating. In order to do mobile check in they want you verified. However they have a picture of license and a selfie so the fact that they either have to call someone, request a passport, lease agreement etc is ridiculous
Emily MVery helpful
adam jOnce i got into the truck, the man told me "and oh yeah we know the check engine light is on". It felt like a very unsafe ride there had to be something wrong with the transmission.
Megan RVery helpful.did not ask about removing the car from the trailer ,just waited to see what would happen and he went out and removed the car and drove the truck to parking.excellent service.
Christi BVery quick/friendly service.
Ron BFast and friendly!
warren wSuper convenient and easy, fantastic customer service, will recommend highly.
Benjamin CThe rental advisor was incredible and I would definitely recommend this location to friends for the quick, clean, friendly service and the quality of the rentals
Benjamin CFriendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice environment. Highly recommended.
John BI paid for a dolly. There was no dolly. The check engine light was on and there was spilled soda all over the cab never ever ever again worst experience ever.
Suzan JThe prices were a lot lower than I anticipated. The service was professional and reliable. Everything went smooth and I even got an early jump on my task...🙂
Edward EJosh is exceptionally good at his job. Thank you immensely.
Mark FThank you George for your support of the ROC Recovery Center and your donation on the use of the truck. It was so helpful for us and the large amount of supplies we have to transport.
Douglas GNice helpful staff.
Bill JI was assigned to drop off at 2688 Crater Lake hwy but they close by the time I got there. I called the 3811 location and the gentleman who answered was very helpful and friendly he said we could drop it off at his location. He was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. I will definitely do business with this specific location again.
Patricia SJosh was great! Great customer service, the rental is ready for me when I got there, Josh went over everything with me and hooked up the trailer for me. I would definitely go back for any rental and would recommend this location!
Max RSuper friendly great customer service
Becky BFirst, we had to drive 56 miles to pick up the truck, because there wasn't one available locally. Second, the windshield was very dirty, and third, the location did not have the moving blankets I requested.
Sally SThe cab of the vehicle was very dirty. Other than that everything else was perfect. Company was very efficient and good to do business with. Will be using them again.
Mark KGreat customer service No need to improve anything
WALTER PI dropped the Uhaul off. I had filled the fuel tank to the level it was when I picked it up and still was charged $48 for fuel :-(
