The place where we picked up the Uhaul truck was very dirty and unorganized. This was the second location we had to visit to get a truck because the first truck had been wrecked the night before and the storage company sent us to another location. The truck was not ready when we got their and had to wait on someone else to show up to give us the truck. This put us at least 3 hours behind schedule due to having to go to another location and again wait on someone to show up.

You can have equipment ready, as reserved. We then talked with a Tom, regional manager, who presented as helping us financially, to make up for our inconvenience, but actually did not do so at all

Renting the truck via phone is supposed to make it convenient for the customers. In my opinion it complicated the process. Took me 45 minutes just to get the keys. The only reason for two stars is the vehicle was clean.

Uhaul should consider Allowing 26' trucks to be picked up at This location. Never see any there. I wanted a 26' truck but had to travel out of my way to get one. Settled for a 20' truck so I could stay local and deal with the local dealer in my area.

Hitch was so rusted. After hooking up to car, trailer came off on I81 in Harriburg at 55mph. Never rent a trailer from u-haul, ever. When I called the 800 # there only concern was where is the trailer. Not if my family and I were OK. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The truck's roof leaked. Many of my possessions got wet/ruined. It rained all day which caused standing water in the truck from the leak.

They stepped up because the original location did not have our truck at the designated time. As a matter of fact they were closed at 6:45 the pickup time even though they said they were opened until 7pm. They never called and when I called the next day they never returned call. This was Derry Dollar Store

We were overcharged for mileage when we drove the truck a shorter distance than originally planned. We returned the truck with gas gauge at the same level it was given to us and we were charged $23.00 extra for gas. Total of $29.50 will be disputed if it isn't refunded.

While not a huge deal to me I did, and anybody renting the larger trucks will have to walk across a very busy state route to get the truck they ordered. Only the larger trucks are across the road and while it was relatively easy to get across, I can see where this might be a problem when there is more traffic.

Fill the tank. I've never rented a vehicle of any size before that only came with 1/4 tank of fuel. I wasted an additional $50 in fuel because I didn't know how much I would need.

I was a bit thrown off buy the three separate charges pending on my credit card, but it all ended ok. I was charged for items I did not receive but it was all straightened out in the end.

The price changed from the online reservation to when I picked it up. I had to take extra time to make a call to correct the reservation. The agent couldn't comprehend I was dropping the truck off in Milton DE and kept saying my drop off was in Dover, De. I clearly told her several times no that Dover was almost an hour away. When I arrived to pick up the U-Haul the location of the drop off changed back to Dover, DE and had to be corrected. Although, I paid online and took advatange of the check in I had to pay more money at the pick up. Overall the experience cost me more money than I was originally quoted online and then over the phone. The agent at the pick up location said there are always problems with reserving and picking up in reference to cost. It is a gross misrepresentation that I'd gladly join a class action law suit on if this is a standard practice.
