Again, U-Haul's online booking application is terrible. I booked a trailer at a location 7 miles from me and the reservation was updated for this FairPlay location 1 1/2 hours away. Your inventory control is a failure but rather than fix it your put the burden on me to solve your problem. Stop booking equipment without a guaranteed pickup. You will lose instant earnings but will regain customer loyalty. I will try hard to not have to use Uhaul in the future.Gary L.

To improve proper customer service you should follow through with your promises I was supposed to be through the 7th and then when the lady in mulvane changed my location for drop off which they were supposed to do in the first place she also changed my date of turning it in and ended up costing me money that I can't afford I hate you all I would never use them again and I am ready to blast to them in every social media I possibly can I want my money backnichole C.

I drove a 10' truck from Colorado to Florida. I arrived right after the hurricane. At the time, my fuel level was spot on for the return. The 2 locations that I was supposed to return the truck to were closed due to flooding. I was given a third location. Upon arriving at the third return location, I had used up more gas and it was below the level it was when I picked it up. Due to the hurricane, there were no gas stations open to top up the tank. I was charged $50 for gas. I called U-Haul and was told the manager of the drop off location would not refund my money. Give me a break. There were no gas stations open and U-Haul was unable to provide the drop off location. Total schmucks in my book!!MIKE L.

Although I didn't have any problems with this particular pick-up location, my experience for my u-haul rental was terrible. After driving 10 hours to the location that was to have my u-haul trailer I was called by the center in Castle Rock, CO and told that they would not have a trailer for me at their location. She kindly told me that I would need to drive further south to pick up my trailer in Highlands Ranch, CO. After driving to the Highlands Ranch location I was rudely told that they did not have a trailer for me. I told her that I had a reservation and had already paid for the rental. I also mentioned that the worker at the Castle Rock location sent me to the HR location. She didn't seem to care. She did tell me however, that there was a trailer available at a different location, Fairplay CO. when I asked if that was on my way to Manitou she said no. It was 1 1/2 hours southwest. I had no other choice than to take the extra drive through the mountains to pick up the trailer. This not only made my 10 hour trip into a 14 hour trip of driving but it also cost me more time and money for gas. This caused me to have to stay another night in a hotel, which I hadn't planned on doing. The whole experience was very exhausting, physically and mentally. If I would have known that I would have had to go through that much trouble I would have just rented a trailer from my starting location and traveled with it both directions. I understand that things happen but I feel that this situation was extreme. I was very dissatisfied.Tammy E.

I reserved an open trailer 5x8 2 weeks in advance. When we arrived to pick up the trailer it was not there. Never did I receive communication that it would not be available. All you had to do was communicate!!! Poor, very poor!!Elizabeth E.
I originally requested to pick up the tuck and tow equipment in Lakewood, CO - Garrison and Jewell location. Was told there was NO equipment at that location. Drove by that location the day of pick up and the day after, ther were several trucks at that location that NEVER moved. But I was forced to drive 1.5 hours away to pick up just the truck, then had to drive to a separate location for the auto transport. Just an inconvenience. The only helpful person through out all this was a gal by the name of Tiffany. Everyone else I spoke to, could careless I had to drive all over to pick up.Melissa K.

I wanted to reserve a certain size truck for a 2 way move, uhaul stated they did not have it. So, I reserved a smaller truck at the U-Haul in Denver. 2 days before I was scheduled to pick it up, they called to tell me I had to drive 5 hours roundtrip in the Rocky Mtns to get the truck because it was only a "preferred" location in Denver. The corporate lady who called me was incredibly unprofessional in manner and told me I could pick up the truck between 9-6pm. On the pick up day, the location called to confirm me coming to pick up the truck, as I wasn't there at the scheduled time that corporate stated. Corporate and the local dealers lack communication completely. This specific local dealer was good enough - just hard to locate.Rachel I.

The last 3 times I have rented, the truck was unavailable at the location I chose. Therefore I had to travel farther to pick up my trailer. It would be very helpful if this problem could be remedied. Also providing a spare tire/jack for the trailer.Teresa G.

I was/am extremely upset that the day before I flew to Denver I received a call that I would have to drive 1.5 hours each way to pickup the truck that was ordered/scheduled for 1 mile away from my move. This followed 2 attempts via text to get me to haul trailers back for UHaul. After I said no, due to logistics, I received a call 30 minutes later that I would have to make the long trek. I had to reschedule movers and spend 3 hours on the road that was completely unnecessary. I'm extremely disappointed in how this was handled by UHaul. I will make every attempt to use a different company in the future. This was not right!!!!Larry R.

Location wasn't the issue. The problem is your hostile employees working scheduling as well as the poor attitude of a manager in customer service. This isn't my first experience with UHauls uncaring disregard for providing the equipment at a predetermined location instead of finding out mere hours prior to the planned pickup time that the trailer is 100 miles away. How ridiculous to blame it on Covid ( a convenient excuse ) when this would be an unacceptable answer from a rental car company, airline or any other business that makes â€œ reservations â€œ. Disgusting customer experience again from a company that has a monopoly on one way trailer rental and whose employees obviously hear daily from disappointed customers but could care less. I will never recommend Uhaul.Paul S.

I had to drive one hour and 30 minutes to retrieve this truck and another one hour and 30 minutes to go and stop at the Englewood usual to pick up my hitch to tow my car, which was another hour out of my time and the I had to go home and pack up the truck and then drive another 7 hour to unload truck. And in the end all we can do for you is $50 dollar for you. I am so highly disappointed in U haul. I have moved several times in my life and used u haul. And I feel I well never again and I will never again recommend or even consider using U haul for to crappie customers service!Terry Y.

The drop off location was great but it was not optimal because there were other U-Haul locations much closer to our location but they would not take a trailer. We had to drive over an hour to the approved drop off location versus 20 minutes to the closest location.BRENT B.

It was horrible. I went to pick up the trailer and the place told me to go hook up the trailer myself and bring it down to the office. The trailer was in horrible condition, the back doors flew open because the latch didn't work. When I got home to pack it up we loaded it and just before I left my husband noticed chunks out if the tire and the other was bald. It took 3 hours to get service to replace the tires then the rim didn't fit because of how old the trailer is. The service person followed me to Fairplay so he could put the tire on the rim which put me over 4 hours later to get to my destination. I dropped the trailer off early and still got fully charged. It was a horrible experience thank goodness my husband caught the damage tires. They also charged my card twice.Sharon Ann C.

First we made a reservation weeks in advance only to get a call (no message left) about the fact there was no truck available in Denver for pick up on 6.26. I had to call myself to learn about this and we were told if we wanted the truck we would have to pick it up in Fairplay, CO on Friday, 6.25. We would be given an extra day (through Sunday, 6.27) and extra miles. Upon pick up the woman in Fairplay told us we had to return the truck on Saturday. I told her this was in error and she ended up charging us an additional day which ended up through 6.30 which is completely wrong! Now I am trying to get a refund because we returned the truck on the original scheduled agreement (6.27). No one seems to have any authority to do much within the system or platform when a customer calls. Now I am waiting up to 48 hours for someone to call me back. It's just a frustrating process when moving is stressful enough and these steps have to be done which are duplicative and unnecessary if people knew what to do from the start.David G.
They park their trucks up a hill far from office and upon checking in or out it is your job to hike the hill to get your truck and return. The distance isn't something the customer should have to deal with. They should be bring the truck down for rental and returning it at the office not BFE. Management and staff are lazy and not really interested in the problem they make. Also, had issues with vehicle so couldn't get ride. They would not let me drop at another location and could care less about the additional miles and $120 cab ride.( uhaul is not customer based)Raymond S.
