Be careful who you show as moving helpers. They were 6 hours late to start moving and it cost me $80 extra for the truck rental.

Brian MWhy happy with MOST of process, I did NOT like getting the truck with 1/8 tank of gas and being told return with same amount which is almost IMPOSSIBLE to do! As it was in my case when I got done and returned truck, U Haul got truck back with MORE gas than I got in it to begin with. What’s the alternative? Drive around for no reason to burn the gas and waste time? Should be like rental cars. Receive with FULL tank…return with FULL tank!

John MI scheduled to have the U-Haul picked up right next door to my sister’s apartment complex where i would be on foot while she was at work. When I went to the original location, the guy said his U-Haul guy wasn’t here today and said I needed to go to another location that was 1.6 miles away. Figured I could walk. Before I started walking I thought I better call and was on hold forever. Finally the lady answered and said my reservation was moved to Brighton which was almost over an hour away. After we took an Uber that was $40+ dollars, we finally arrived to the U-Haul place. The first virtual assistant gave us the wrong location for the keys and we finally found location after er went back in and asked another virtual assistant. 1/2 way back to aurora, the check engine light came on. We stopped at o’reileys and had them plug in yo read codes and it ended up that check engine light was because they had put the wrong grade of fuel in there. Just frustrating and somewhat expensive.
Jennifer MThe 24 hour pick up and drop off is ridiculous. The pre verification was awful and took me 45 minutes to get verified. Where the truck was parked there was no WiFi so I had to keep walking across the street to connect to complete the pick up and drop off photos and information. Worst experience ever and I have rented at least 15 uhauls in my life 5 in the past few years. I may never rent again after this experience.

Angelica SIt was a virtual pick up which I was fine with, however it was a horrible experience. I picked up the truck at 10:30 but was having issues with the app and my location. All my setting were on & connected. All permissions allowed Uhaul access. I spoke with a virtual rep who tried changing the time to 11 thinking that could be an issue, because it was taking so long. Then the app said I was at the wrong location & the rep confirmed I was at the right location. I was instructed to go to a box with a wordlock. The only box I could find was a key drop off box that did have a wordlock. The word was not working. I went back in spoke with a rep again unsure if this was the right box or perhaps the wrong word. It wasnt working. We were Youtubing videosI I had my brother & kids trying. I had to ask my husband to come meet us all the way from Erie it was a mess. We were there for over two hours. I finally decided to call instead of speaking to a virtual rep again to see about cancelling because we had hired workers to help us that were waiting at the site since 10:45. The rep I spoke with on the phone was very nice. And then he asked if the back of the truck had a lock. So we went to the back & there was a lock! That whole time we were being told a box. It was an awful, awful experience & I would rather go somewhere else in the future, Also when I went to return the truck the location was not working again, it was a painful experience. I would feel very horrible if this had been an elderly person or someone non tech savvy.

Mone LBetter inspection of equipment. Truck had a fuel leak due to a rust hole near filler neck on the tank that looked like someone tried to patch but failed.

Tyler HTrucks left roadside near a field, debris including broken locks, needles, and broken glass litter the roadside near the trucks. Then I asked to have furniture pads and a furniture dolly included and it was not provided but they still charged me.

Michael CBe a little more accurate on the fuel level. It was lower than they said. It’s not really fair for me to buy someone else’s fuel. It should be like it used to- take it full, bring it back full. Other than that, a good experience overall.

Douglas VI will NEVER use uhaul again. They made this move the worse nightmare I have had. The girl at the store knew NOTHING about the equipment when I picked it up. And the guy that I talked to a month before the move told me that a 20' truck would work which it didn't. If you don't know anything about the equipment why are you renting it out. The wait at the store was terrible. Internet either slow or not working at all. She had to go outside to upload my drivers license. The place is hopping and she is the only one there so others had to wait 20 minutes or more each time I went to the store. BEWARE!

Paul DThis has been the third time I rented from this location. Staff has always been very helpful and friendly. I was disappointed when I picked up the truck on Sunday as it had no gas in it. Just barely made it to the gas station.

Albert MThe back of the truck was actually not that clean. Somebody must have moved when it was wet... we had to mop the dried mud out of the back. It was light, but we still needed to clean out before we put our stuff in. Not a very big deal.
