The unit that was rented was very filthy, dirty and smelt of cigarettes. There was chewing tobacco spit bottles in and under the seats. One had leaked out. Windows were dirty with cigarette smoke haze and foot prints on passenger side. Windshield had 1 crack n rock chips. This unit did not receive a vehicle inspection. I did not receive the vehicle pre-inspection report or rental agreement which I was told everything was ok and did not need it. I did not receive all blankets that were paid for I was missing 12 of them. This vehicle was driven from Greenville SC to Caribou Maine and should be kept for local use only. It has a severe shake at 60 mph and above from the front end. It has a very loud audible transmission noise.Scott B.

I would recommend this location but I do have a issue with your corporate office I tried calling them numerous of times today because of extra billing on my actt a week and half later after returning the rental I requested a few call backs thru the automated system and only received one when I told her my problem then before she ever got any information from my acct she asked me to hold please I sat on the phone for 35 mins and then was hung up on...as far as the location in greenville they were polite and the new hire there was very polite and made the visit enjoyable just wish your corporate office could be half as pleasant to deal with as this locationZachary G.
There are alot of trucks and objecrs in spots so it is hard to maneuver trucks in the lot to get to your storage spots.Stephanie D.

I was charged an "After Hours Service Fee" of $20.00 in error. I dropped the unit off while the office was open, and even spoke with the manager of the location when I gave him the keys. Further, when I tried to respond to the email from U-Haul when you sent my receipt, I found out that the email you gave is invalid. This is unacceptable and I want a refund immediately.James M.

The attendee was very well spoken, intelligent, and courteous. He checked out the vehicle after it arrived, and totally agreed about the Left headlight being about as dim as a flashlight. He also spent extra effort into giving me a refund on unopened unused blankets, which being only a 2 month employee was something he'd never done before, but he had a very good attitude about it and was very interested in having a happy Uhaul customer. It was the exact opposite attitude at the Durham location that I rented it from, where it seemed as if they couldn't have cared less about whether they gave me a safe truck or not, and the also seem to be lacking in common courtesy.Randall S.
Great professional service Stayed and observed the agent going over the vehicle and checking out the truck for completeness of contract. The truck was very easy to handle and maneuver. Very smooth drive and mileage and time allowed was way more than needed. Agent answered all questions and I had confirmation of return emailed to me before I left the site. I originally scheduled the pick up of the truck at Comfort Storage in Mauldin, and while I understand that the previous renter did not return it the night before, I should have been notified prior to arriving the next morning and putting my entire move behind schedule because I had to go somewhere else for a truck. On Saturday July 17th 2021, I was dropped off at Midgard Safe Storage to pick up their 20' U-Haul truck that I reserved with them weeks ago! However to my surprise, Midgard's U-Haul truck that I needed NOW was not available when I arrived on time! U-Haul REQUIRES the customer to notify them when canceling a rental but U-Haul and Midgard Self Storage FAILED me the customer, for not notifying me they had no truck!!! They knew this the day before! Who does this?!!! Why didn't they work on getting a truck ready the day before?!! At the very least why didn't they find one at another location the day before and let me know?!!! Midgard said their truck was damaged (un-rentable) the day before, (Midgard pointed it out to me parked out front), placed blame on U-Haul traffic for not calling me. (I see it at Midgard as well as U-Haul to promptly call me). They wasted our time and tried to burden us further to drive to another location. U-Haul and Midgard Safe Storage wasted enough of my/our time, not finding a truck, and my wife had an appointment, so I rented a 15' truck, wasted more time inside a hot humid smaller truck strategically stacking furniture etc and cramming items in a car. U-Haul and Midgard Self Storage of all businesses' should know better their important role on move day. Customers just need a good truck ready to go. People prep for weather conditions, taking time off work as my son did, dropping me off (wife who has plans), arrive on time not to waste time in Midgard's office. I'm not there to rent a smaller truck, find another truck location , drive farther, pay more, lose time, make my wife late, make my son wait as the day gets hotter, and end up possibly returning a truck two days later on a work day and be charged a weekend fee when closed on Sunday as some places do.RONALD O.
