Check engine light was on upon first start, was close to home so I wasn't super worried about unit breaking down.
Rosalind MMy experience at the facility was great but it was the experience of the haul rental process online that needs improvement.
Laura SDidn't particularly care for the VIRTUAL service and found it difficult to go through the steps to rent and especially return the truck and believe that I was especially overcharged since I traveled a very short distance and refueled the truck. Checked in by a person on site eventually.

Rosalind MIt would be nice to have a step rail for short people to get in the truck. The hand hold helps, but step rails are much easier. Even Lowes Home Improvement stores have added step rails to their trucks.

LISA HThe truck had been smoked in and there were ashes in one of the cup holders. Had I not had a deadline and if the office was manned by a person, not someone on a video screen, I would have returned it.
PAUL MI don't work for Uhaul, and don't want to. For all this work, the rates at this location should be much lower. Also, if you're going to use virtual managers, please ensure they know your property.

Annina SThis was a very different experience. First time I've rented a uhaul in a while where dropping it off was done via internet. Having to take pictures to send instead of a person doing a walk thru was different. Technology is really taking over the world. Good and bad for customers service!

DOUGLAS HMy experience with this location was as advertised. The mobile checkout and check-in was super easy. And the virtual assistance was extremely helpful when I showed up to the lobby because I wasn't clear on checkout procedures.

FRED MThis was extremely stresssful, the app was extremely hard to use, it took me over 45 mins to finally get checked in to get the truck which cause a lot of issues due to I was on a time frame, I finally went inside a storage that I thought was an actually store only to find. Virtual manager tjst helped me on a screen.. when returning the truck it was not fast and easy none of this was convenient, I will never use a location that does not have an actually uhaul agent to help. It’s seems that customer service is out the window with uhaul, moving is a stressful situation for this app and the process to add to that makes this such a horrible experience. I have told multiple ppl how horrible this experience was and told them to make sure to not use the locations with an actually agent to help.. this was the worst!!

Ernestine SThe check in process took over 15 minutes which I wasn’t expecting and it required a u-haul rep to call two different references to confirm that it was me picking up the u-haul which was odd to me (it was late at night and I had to call to notify friends out of the blue). Also the letter locks that held the keys were extremely difficult to use and unlock which caused lots of frustration. Everything else was good.
Erin LThere were no personnel present. You had to wait for a person via a screen who only could get you started. Then go outside and inspect the vehicle for them using questions on your phone. The app then got stuck and over charged us. Fortunately, the customer service phone number helped once I got home and got the overcharge refunded.

Shakei TThis location is a scam. I turned my rental in when I was supposed to according to my U-Haul account and some how they put down whatever time and date they wanted to and somehow I am being billed for an entire month rental (28 days!) Almost 400 dollars! And I don't even have the rental because I turned it in when I was supposed to and they won't fix what they purposfully and manually sent me a receipt for! If I'm gonna be billed almost 400 hundred dollars then I would at least like to use the rental during the rest of the 28 days ... One way or the other something should be done to make this transaction right.
Hope POur reservation was for 8:00. Upon arrival, we were receiving messages that equipment had not been assigned to us. After a 23 minute phone call, we finally were able to get the code to our lock box. However, it took another 20 minutes to get the lock box open.
Caitlin DOriginal pickup location did not have the equipment available even though it was “guaranteed” and reserved 10-11 days prior. Had to drive 35-40 minutes round trip to this location with movers waiting and costing me money. The app is glitchy and cost me another 25 minutes on the return (which was also another 35-40 minutes round trip away from the original pickup location. Was almost unable to return the truck because the app kept freezing on my camera. Went to talk to someone at the counter only to have a virtual manager tell me that if I didn’t do the return on my phone that it would cost $20 extra. I’m all for technology when it works but the overall experience of being sent to a totally different location and other issues referenced was beyond lackluster on a good day. Do better. Would give 0 stars to U-Haul as a whole if it were possible.
Zach HThe location was fine. The website and app were awful. It asked for pictures then would reload and ask for them again multiple times. It wouldn't allow me to upload pictures of the preexisting damage or the return mileage. The inside had mud and crumbs and dirt all in it.
Tiffaney HRented the van, immediately upon opening the van door we were met with a strong dog odor along with a urine odor that was strong. The seats were covered with dog hair. It was horrible. I spoke to the customer representative and he switched out the van with another one. Well... That van was just as bad as the first. I went to a family dollar and got cleaning supplies to clean the drivers side and the passenger side. Please stay away. I spoke to the next customer representative upon dropping off the van the next day and told him about how dissatisfied I was with the condition of the vehicle when he asked me how was my experience 😳. All he said was ok. WoW!

Paul VI originally made reservation at Grove Road location as it is ~2 miles from my house. I showed up at 9:30 for my 9:15 reservation and was told (without apology) that Grove location did not have my reservation and I would have to drive 15-20 minutes to Midgard. I then inquired about returning to Grove location and was told that would be $90 additional charge. At no time did anyone apologize for screw up, inconvenience to me, time/gas wasted driving to Midgard, etc. I thought Grove customer service was as bad as I've seen lately. Midgard was great to work with but that was not my preferred and reserved location. This experience was very disappointing.
