The only issue we had is the app. Had a hard time getting it to work. Virtual transaction was much easier.

They are marked as 24/7 drop off, but they do not have a key drop box. We had to stand in the literal freezing cold, on hold with customer service for an hour to get our truck returned.

Joshua BGo here if you don’t want to interact with a person. You can talk to someone but they are remote and appear on a screen. Very impersonal. Be careful returning your U-Haul. If you don’t check in properly, following all of the steps and you return it early, you get a notification saying that your drop off location has changed. It’s not so much this location, but U-Haul itself.
Stephanie KThe back of the truck was muddy and nasty the front smelled horrible of cigarettes! I ruined a few moving blanket because of the nasty ness of the back! Wasn’t happy about that!!

ARIANNA Ggot to location and tried to pick up truck. Was notified in App that truck was not available. Had to call customer service. That was 30 minute wait time. Once they authorized another truck size the process was smooth. This storage place does not have real people working there.
DOUGLAS MThis location was super confusing and hard! No employee just a virtual assistant and I had to call to get a code for the gate- wasn’t given this ahead of time. Also small and tight space was scary for the 26 ft truck and no employee to help with this. Assistant said leave the key in the after hours box except there wasn’t one- just a box for locks. So I just left the key there because it was the only box available. Super stressful and lots of unhappy people in the lobby area just as confused as I was.

Steve HNo one there, no where to park. Had others waiting for the virtual person. Someone that rents a storage there let us into the back to park since there was no where to park and then I was locked back there till someone else let me out.
Cassandra ZFirst, the truck itself was very mechanically sound and drove well. It was a perfect vehicle for the job that I had to accomplish. With that being said.....I was supposed to pick the truck up at 7:30 AM. When I got to the location and went to my reservation in the app it stated that I needed to make a phone call to U-Haul because I did not have a "piece of equipment" assigned to my reservation. After being on hold for about 15 minutes an agent answered, asked for my reservation number, and said he was going to place me on hold. Instead, he hung up and I had to start over with another 12 minute wait on the phone. While I was waiting the second time a U-Haul Field Manager, according to his shirt, happened to show up at that site. He was able to get his tablet and assign me a truck. He was fantastic at fixing my problem and it wasn't his fault. However, it was over an hour past my pick-up time. The floor mats in the truck were really sticky. It appeared that someone had spilled something, spayed something, etc. on the floor mats. It's my understanding that when a truck is returned dirty that the renter is charged a fee. If that is the case the trucks should be cleaned after that fee is paid. If not, it gets blamed on the next person that returns that vehicle. Next, the first thing I had to do after getting the truck and leaving the parking lot was to stop and get fuel. It had less than a quarter of a tank at that point. When I returned the truck it also had less than a quarter of a tank and I was charged a fueling fee of something like $30. Again, if that is the case, the trucks need to be refueled after being returned so that the next renter receives a truck with a full tank. Then, they can be responsible for returning it the same way. By doing that the refueling fee makes sense.
David CWe requested in-person pick-up which you changed. You changed our pick-up location to 20 miles farther away. You changed our pick up from in person to online app. It was a terrible experience!! We almost lost our movers. It took two of us and customer service to figure out your app.

Heather DMy location was moved here last minute which is a 40 minute Uber from Columbia but aside from that it is unstaffed so it took over 20 minutes to get someone on the phone to get the lockbox code and because it was a virtual manager they didn’t know where the lockbox was located.

Danny DThis place did not have anyone at the counter to greet you and you have to talk to some virtual assistant. I was given a code for a lock number that wasn't outside. Fortunately, there was a person on location that was able to help me find that someone marked lock #4 as the same lock as #2. It was irritating because before the person saw me looking for the key, another rep I talked to was about to cancel my reservation AFTER processing my card for payment. I won't be renting a U-haul from this location ever again. If I had of known that no one was staffed at the desk, I would have gone somewhere else. Also, the place is hard to find as the sign is not that visible from the road one side. Coming from the opposite way, you can't see any sign at all until you pass the turn. So you have to really go slow to make sure you see it. If you have no choice but to rent from this location, I advise just going ahead and uploading the front and back images of your drivers license BEFORE going to pick up the vehicle. Matter of fact, just do this prior to each time you go to pick up the truck. They're going to ask you to upload the images from you phone anyhow.
Christopher TI signed up online and checked I did not want safemove or safe trip. When I went inside and picked it up the girl added both to my contract and did not even tell me. I didn't notice to after I checked out. She also did not bother to ask me how many miles I needed, just put a ridiculous amount of 80. Lastly, she did not even go over prior damage to the truck with me. Very shady and unprofessional.
Braidy HI showed up at 10am to pick up my truck and the location was not open. They were supposed to open at 9am but no one was there. I had to call u haul and wait on hold for 20 minutes for them to tell me the location was open. Finally someone from another uhaul place showed up around 11:15 and opened the store and I finally was able to get the keys to the truck I rented. Having to do everything through the app was difficult and not streamlined at all.

James MI prefer to have real people to talk with which is what I really liked about using Midgard. Always give people an easy option of customer care from people, not just having to do everything on line. 🙂

Francesca FTake the time to explain the pickup/dropoff process with patience. Share gas cap location, type and have the vehicle cleaned and remove trash. The driver area was filthy, however the rear was satisfactory. Honestly the staff should be responsible for a walk through and notate and take pictures of flaws w/the vehicle not the customer, just like rental car facilities!

THOMAS GTo start with, UHaul can stop making changes to existing reservations without contacting their customers. This is the second time we rented a UHaul in 3 months, both times UHaul made changes caused us time & money. We are definitely looking at other rental companies for future needs solely due to UHaul’s choices, not due to the pick up location.
Mark ESystem was not responsive, took 25 minutes to print contract and I had already done everything online. Put me behind schedule for my drive out of town.
BILLY PUhaul van was very modern, and clean. Rear view camera-video made it easy to drive in reverse when needed. Over all great experience!
Casper OI uploaded a photo to document the storage area floor was not in the initial expected condition. I cleaned up what the last user left behind in addition to what I caused to avoid a $25 fee but would have preferred some benefit for the prior user's failure. Additionally, self check in is state of the art for confirming existing vehicle damage, odometer reading, and fuel level without assistance from a site operator. However this all occurs while my 24 hour rental click is running; at an operator assisted site for a car rental, this process occurs BEFORE my rental window begins. The latter would seem more fair.

Shawn WWe rented a 10ft truck for six hours. The truck was INFESTED with cockroaches. I had to spend an hour and a half of the six hours spraying two full cans of roach spray then let it dry and sweep it out before I could even put my furniture in it. I will never use use U-Haul again!

Tarus CI would not suggest dropping off a truck at this location before or after hours, as there is hardly adequate space to leave it. I would have just done it as "after hours", but you would have to leave in the driveway in order to do that. Did not feel comfortable so, in order to drop off, I had to wait u till 12 noon on Sunday to have someone help me. No code to get into the gate for any sort of rental-just for persons that have a storage container being rented. Choose another place if u have a 26 foot truck. Mine was only 10 foot....
