Van was really not very clean at all but I marked it ok when returned it exactly as how I got it. Figured if issued to me this way then so it is there. Staff on virtual and at business very nice

This particular location apparently no longer has an on site employee but now has a virtual assistant. I selected the option to check in with a staff member to avoid using the app to check out and in because I’ve found it to be very difficult to use. No one initially came online in the lobby so I tried to do the app checkout but my reservation wasn’t set that way and wouldn’t work. Someone finally came online on the screen and converted the reservation to the self service and I checked out but it was raining and I had limited cell service for some reason so I was barely able to complete the checkout on my phone. Same issue when returning. It took almost 20 minutes to use the app for checkin because the photos did not upload in a timely manner. The vehicle itself had a broken weather seal on the rear door so there was a decent amount of water inside from the rain coming down. I did note this in the app with check in so hopefully it can be addressed before someone else has an issue. If it had been a self service only location when I I completed the reservation I could have picked a different location or at least had the expectation of needing more time/patience to get the vehicle. I personally try to go out of my way if needed to go somewhere with an actual person. Thanks

Have a live person in office. Very difficult to use app when the cell service is almost nonexistent. Virtual agent could not read my credit card due to blurring camera when buying a rope. I WILL NEVER use U-Haul app to rent again.

The virtual set up is terrible! 2nd rental in less than a month and problems again with the uHaul app. Terrible customer service. Pay for a person to work and stop the virutal BOX person who can't help cuz who knows where they live. If I had another option for rental I would. I WOULD NEVER recommend this service to anyone. Sorry, have to be honest.

Went to pick up couldn’t get keys. No manager to help. Had to postpone my move for 2 days! Terrible to have only virtual help. I should have received a discount when I had to rebook.

WiFi connection should be offered at the location to facilitate self check in. The cell service sucks. Pictures take forever to upload. Or just have the virtual representative handle check in. I’ve rented there twice and both times had to end up having them finish check in because the service was terrible and the app sucks, it asked me to provide a reference and a passport or a lease … that’s some weird stuff

I was directed to get the key from a lock box by the virtual attendant. However the lock box was empty. So, I had to wait for a property manager to come to the site, which took about 15 minutes. The vehicle only had about 3/8 of a tank of gas and the dashboard display indicated 2 tires were under inflated.

The truck I had reserved was not there. I had to pay more to get a truck and had to have it that day. I was not happy. You should have given me the bigger truck for the same price since you over booked the truck. Not happy at all.

The U-Haul I rented was super easy to pick up & drop off. The virtual attendant was very helpful & knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience. Made moving out of my beloved home a tiny bit easier. Thank you U-Haul!

This wasn’t the locations problem this was U-Haul problem.. I spent hours of the phone with U-Haul support had my reservation messed up twice and then it took me almost 1.5 hrs to get the U-Haul once I got to the location because the system was down

The location was fine. But I will never use U-Haul again based on an absolutely terrible experience. Your app is TERRIBLE. At the location asking for passport or lease or employer on holiday weekend. The entire getting vehicle was a mess. Your online support failed and in the end I left and came back 45 minutes later after site opened. Absolutely terrible. Almost all could have been done in advance with app and verify with single picture at location but not what you did. Then turning in the truck just as bad as app failed and even the QR code the virtual agent presented me with failed for U-Haul. From a CTO, you need to replace your CTO. Completely unacceptable and you lost a customer

The App is not really that user friendly! Took us a 1/2 hour to get the keys and such after we got to the location with the help of the wonderful "live attendantt" that just happened to be there!

The facility is clean and orderly, although the restroom lock code didn’t work rendering the restroom inaccessible. Also, the U-Haul app was useless for picking up and returning. The website did function appropriately. Thank you.

I found it difficult to return a vehicle using the app. I went into the unoccupied store and spoke to the virtual reality representative representative, she told me she could not help me with returning the vehicle, I had to call the store number where no one was in. Took approximately forty minutes, I finally found someone on the phone.That could help me return the vehicle. On the app it told me to scan the barcode, There is no indication where the bar code is on the truck making it difficult to return.

I waited at the U-Haul facility for an hour before my vehicle could be dispatched due to issues with U-Haul’s system and lack of available in-person help. From 1:30 to 2:15 the U-Haul app/website/system was inaccessible. When it finally was restored, it took 10+ minutes to get the code for the key lock box, only to find that the keys were not in that lock box when opened. I spoke with 6-7 “virtual managers” who were all pleasant people, but absolutely useless in addressing the onsite issue (missing/misplaced keys). The net of the situation was I could not complete my move in its entirety because of the delay and the schedule for the help I had. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. While the system being down is no one’s fault in particular, the lack of onsite help most certainly is.

Horrible experience arrived at the location at 9:00am i didn't get into the truck until 10am i had a schedule move at 9:30 i was an hour late. That virtual check in is the worst ever. I was given three different wrong codes and i took the representative 8-10 minutes each time to come back to the screen. As a employee moving helper and costumer i was very disappointed.

Process is confusing. No one there so virtual person only . Should not have to have your phone to rent. Bad Internet at location so downloading app was problem. Virtual assistant does not have app so could not help in process. Finally on return app did not work for photo so have no idea if actually registered I returned equipment. Terrible experience.

Being told that I would be charged $20 for a staffer to close out my rental if my Uhaul app wasn’t working was insulting. I also didn’t enjoy dealing with someone remotely over a video feed. Will not be going back to this location.

U-Haul's online check-in and check-out process was difficult with a smartphone and the remote assistant (from South Carolina) was not helpful. The signal strength for a cell phone at this location was almost non-existent. I had to move around the store to get a signal strong enough to download the app, and then the program was unable to verify my location. I checked and double-checked my phone to insure that the location feature was unlocked and working, yet the app was still unable to verify my geolocation. I had to call U-Hall for assistance, which took more time to check-out. Frank, who answered the call was very helpful, polite and professional, as was the tech assistant who helped me. But over-all, my experience with online processing was frustrating, time-consuming, and ineffective. It still took a human being to check-out properly. If I use U-Haul again (unlikely) I will not use this location, or any other franchise location that does not have a human onsite.

It took 20 minutes after my on line check in to get the keys to the vehicle. The virtual assistant had to keep checking how to extract them from the lock box and finally a human being had to assist. It would be helpful; if the location and code with clear instructions is given when the online check in is completed.

Have the equipment ready when it is supposed to be. I was supposed to have access at 8 AM. Keys to the truck were behind a locked door that did not open until 9 AM. Furthermore, I requested a furniture dolly as part of the rental agreement. None was provided and no person was available to assist with getting one. I was unable to close out my rental online. The message I got was system problems. When I called customer service I was told I would get a receipt before 6 PM Saturday. Finally was emailed a receipt at 11 AK Monday morning. I can not recommend this location or UHaul based on my experience. Definitely not easy to do business with.

Since the Uhaul part is partnered with a business that's not open on Sunday, it won't do much good to suggest to be available on Sunday. But that would be my only suggestion. Everything else was great.

This was ny far the best experience ever with UHaul. Clean. Extremely affordable. Excellent van rental. Backup camera too. Easy to drive. Safe. Easy to check in and out. Couldnt be any easier. Will definitely use this facility again. If I could give a 10 I would.

The guy would not check in the truck until after I left. The guy marked the gas as almost empty. I stopped and put gas in to avoid the charge and he lied about the return gas level and charged me $74. Luckily I took a picture of the gas and end miles before I left the truck. I even told him that the truck was filled to the same gas level, the rented furniture covers were in the back, the miles were 1.5 miles below the allowed, and the truck was cleaned out. I called back after the additional $74 charges and he said there was nothing he could do. He gave me a number to call, which I did and the lady listened to me and once I said I had the picture to prove it, then she reversed the charge no problem. She did not require me to produce the picture, but I have it just in case you would like it. She was very helpful. She also mentioned that the check in people have a bad habit of doing this regularly to make the extra money that it provides. The fact that an employee of U-Haul tells me that it is a regular practice and that U-Haul knows about it and has not addressed the issue is very troubling. I would not do business at this location again, Midgard Self Storage, 8785 State Road 70 E, Bradenton, FL 34202.
