If you expect people to self check in and out you have to have an app that works all the time. There is not a person on site that can help. The virtual screen with random people who are not famliar with this location is AWFUL. The lock boxes and the drop your keys boxes are inconvenietly located and the virtual people give terrible directions to find them. My cargo van was muddy. It had a tire pressure warning and low washer fluid warning blaring at me the entire time. I had to call U-haul directly checking out and checking back in because I could not get pictures loaded up . I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SPEND 30 - 45 MINUTES CHECKING IN AND OUT !

The vehicle had a low oil warning while I was using it. The oil gauge showed low oil as well. I drove 160 miles and was stressed and nervous the whole time. I Wondered if something so obvious wasn't being maintained what else could be wrong. Otherwise it was an ok experience. I felt the 19.95 was misleading.

I’m 84 years old and I struggled with this wonderful electronic virtual apparatus. It’s very impersonal. The individual was kind of snippy wasn’t somebody that was really trying to help myself through the process I do not like talking to a wall. It is ridiculous. I’d rather have an actual human being. That would be caring enough to help me through the process very disappointed in your decision to do away with individuals i.e. Howard. It’s too bad that a electronic system would get in the way of the relationship of two humans trying to work through a system. I know you don’t care and I know you aren’t gonna change, but I just gotta let you know that it will help compound the reason why I’m leaving your storage unit.
JOHN BWe went into the office at this location only to be greeted by a virtual assistant. We were never advised to steps for returning the truck. It would have been nice to know that there would be a UHaul key drop off box and that we wouldn't need to speak with anyone.

Curt ASelf serve locations are the worst. If I had realized this when reserving the vehicle I would have gone to a further place. Cab floor was covered in dirt when in prior pic it showed it was clean. Gas was 1/16 less than stated. Back tire was at 20 psi. App was slow and kept rejecting photos. What usually takes no more than 10 mins total to pick up and drop off with a person took an hour to do with self serve. Never again. Facility itself appeared clean and well maintained.

JEFFREY SThe U-haul app was problematic, mainly with the location services-- permissions were enabled for location services, and it still had a hard time. I had to go through the web for it to work. Still, even the staff had to go back and manually help. Then, after getting the furniture pads and getting the key, there was undocumented damage, but the app only allowed adding one picture. The existing pictures were dark and blurry, like in a parking garage. Finally, after getting into the first truck, it immediately had a low brake fluid level light on, which indicated there was a mechanical problem with the brakes, not just low fluid. We had to upgrade trucks to get another one, which the location staff were very helpful with and at no extra charge. The new truck was very clean and not much if any damage. Unfortunately, all of the issues cost me an hour of time, and caused me to have to extend my rental to avoid being late to return. I was not happy with that part. I'm definitely not pleased with the maintenance aspect of having to pay for roadside assistance, especially when the first truck had a high likelihood of a brake failure. That should be built into the rental, period. Bottom line, the location staff were great, but I don't know that I'll return to U-haul for a truck, unless I absolutely have to.

Brian WHorrible experience. The truck was not maintained. I had to shake the steering wheel to even get to key to turn to start the truck. The inside was DISGUSTING not telling when it was cleaned last. The truck drove terribly due to lack of maintenance. It was shaking and smoking while driving, not to mention the shocks were destroyed. This truck was a shit box literally.

The trucks door barley shut and the key was very hard to turn. When I tried to put the issues in the app it wouldn't accept it, until I just said everything was good. I have rented Uhauls for 30 years and this was far and away the worst experience.
Kyle Cmy trucks drivers side door was really hard to shut, half the time i just drove with the door ajar bc it wouldnt close. also the check engine light was on the whole time and the headlight button kept trying to go into the dashboard. worst truck i ever rented. location is nice tho usually although the storage gate was not working last night and they always leave the sidewalk door wide open, sometimes makes me worry about my storage unit there.but other than that its good.
Erica CI haven't rented a Uhaul truck since 2009. Back then I dealt with people face to face and it was a much easier process. Even though I reserved the truck online, when I showed up to get it there was no one in the office. The touch screen rejected my phone number. Huh? I then tried to call Uhaul, but the number that is painted on the office door took me to Penske! I finally got a virtual assistant to confirm my registration and allow access to the key in the lock box. When I returned the truck that night the office was closed and locked. I had to complete the return process by phone the following morning. Give me the old days, when people were on hand to help with the process.

EDWIN HCompany we picked up from was WONDERFUL. They walked us through the rental, and explained any questions we had. They also did a wonderful job helping us hookup the trailer, and explain what was what. And when we returned, it was a godsend that they let us stay in the office a bit and offered water. It was a really hot day and were exhausted from loading. My single gripe about the experience is when they were completing the rental agreement, they could not proceed with the rental until after we had provided 3 phone numbers for 3 different people. My wife and I are fairly private people, and we are unwilling to give your company any contact information away without first asking permission from that person. If we had known we would need to provide this information ahead of time, we would have had it available. It would have been even easier if we had been directed for this information online when we completed the application. I understand that you want a level of security in case a trailer goes missing or is stolen, but this caught us off guard, and we were willing to cancel or reservation because of it. Considering that my ID was scanned when going through the process, it seems suspect that you would even ask for this information, especially since it is so easy to give fake names and numbers. To the point that the phone number I made the reservation on is a temporary number that will no longer be mine after today. It may seem petty, but this will influence my decision on who to rent equipment from in the future. My wife and I value our own privacy, as we do our friends, kids and acquaintances. I would prefer do to business with a company that respects this, especially in this time of data breaches, and unwelcome marketing. I want to reiterate, the business we picked up from is wonderful, and I am willing to work with them anytime I need their services. U-Haul is the company I am not pleased with, and may search for an alternative for in the future.

Tania BGave me a truck with check engine light on, there was a piece underneath that was just hanging and ran like crap. The trucks exhaust literally melted through the side of the truck and we got blamed for it and paid over 100 dollars for something that could have been dangerous for us as well and could have caused a serious accident. We didn't hit a single thing in that truck. Pictures we took at drop off show the black MELTED metal. Overall, worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul. And for the record, there were multiple trucks, same size, in that parking lot all day and they gave us the one that had that many issues.

Jorge RThe service I received from Midgard Storage was excellent, and the gentleman I dealt with was very kind and helpful. I appreciate the level of customer service and flexibility that I received. However, the truck I ended up with did not come with a ramp - I was expecting this to be the case based on the description when I placed the order for the rental. Additionally the window crank was broken and kept falling off on the floor while I was driving. Both of these things are the only reason I'm dropping my rating one star. Not the fault of the rental location, but if you are going to advertise that a truck comes with certain amenities then that should be what you get.

I had to keep the truck longer due to a mishap with the place I was moving into and the employees would call and curse me bad for using the truck longer. I was threatened stating the male employee was going to call the cops on me and report the truck stolen. These people were extremely horrible and made my time using the truck a living Hell!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO GO THERE! To be honest they should be fired! I NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN NOR SEND ANYONE THERE TO DO BUSINESS! The worse pleople I have ever dealt with!
