This location is the site of mulitple drug busts and homicides yearly - it has had 3 busts, and 1 homicide in the last 2 months. I was very upset with having been given this location, as I had requested another location 2 months ago when I scheduled online. I even called head office to have the location changed as I felt unsafe frequenting the establishment - the lady on the phone was quite unhelpful apart from telling me that she could confirm my trailer would be ready. I did not receive a confirmation call till 1hr before my pick-up time. When I arrived, the clerk was nowhere to be found. I had to call him on a personal cell phone for him to come down. He had no idea how to hook up the trailer to my truck, did not go through any safety info with us, did not provide a contract. He said he sent the contract to me by email, but didn't, so I ended up having to call back and go back to get everything. All in all the worst experience I have ever had with UHaul. I would strongly suggest you consider revisiting this location as a distributor, as a lifelong Thunder Bay resident, this location is definitely known as a DO NOT frequent establishment. This entire experience has been the most frustrating I have ever had with UHaul, and I honestly will no longer be using your online platform for rentals, and instead will be calling the local dealer of my choice.Josee M.
The customer service on obtaining this vehicle was terrible. I had reserved a month in advance and had to fight to get the size of vehicle I needed on my departure date...it is unlikely I will suggest this company to anyone. I called to voice my concerns and the operator assured me a field manager would contact me. That was three weeks ago and I've heard nothing. Definitely unsafe and unsatisfactory on all levels.Troy T.

This was a terrible experience. The location is very sketchy and scary and the booking experience was terrible! I am very upset and would like my money back. Also I never got asked to put the insurance on, they just put it on. Very unprofressional and I would like a call or email back to discuss.Stephanie R.

It was awful. The pickup location was as sketchy as it gets, broken windows, blood on the door handle - the reception girl was completely unfriendly and unhelpful, the trailer had no adapter for the lights so a friend had to follow us on the highway - brutal brutal brutal - never ever again!!Jayne C.
Owner told us he couldn't close file, we had to use app and go on line....which we couldn't do and next day still wasn't closed off....eventually had to insist they close it.....4 phone calls later. Tried to get hold of someone on uhaul main number, on hold for half hour and gave up. Bad experience.Monika H.

Location was excellent. Very helpful in getting everything sorted and got me on the road fast. U-Haul on the other hand were nothing but trouble all day. My pickup location was changed without any notification, to a location that no longer supplied their services. It took me over an hour to secure the truck I was meant to have. Next they switched my reservation from an 8 hour to a 6 hour without my knowledge then blamed me saying that I was returning the equipment late. When I called to resolve the issue the lady was not at all helpful and continued to blame me, and then told me I would be charged for another day. I will not be using U-Haul again if there is any other option.Greg V.

Worst rental I have ever seen. Beat up old Ford from Arizona. In need of front end alignment or something. Truck was all over the road. Now the rental: I book my truck for pickup at Agostino and Sons. It is 2 mins from my house. Once there waiting for pickup and or to meet someone, I had a call to go to Midtown Inn instead. Not Happy! Once there, I am at a run down old hotel. Broken glass, doors, and dirt! 3 intoxicated people wondering around and falling down the stairs with their LCBO bag in hand. Office staff seemed more concerned with with something else than getting me on the road. My rental agreement was now 40 mins late. I returned the truck around 6pm. Again only to be greeted by more intoxicated or drugged up people standing in the front entrance. Another person stood outside urinating himself and the sidewalk. Once there at the counter: I see the scam continue. Despite a contract for another uHaul location, this place changed me a new rate. Instead pf paying per KM, I was being charged per Mile as the old truck was a US model in miles. I was also charged a fee for using my credit card to pay! When I booked the unit, I could only use a credit card. The entire place should be shut down. How disgusting. I have called my credit card company to reverse the payment, I called U Haul customer service to file a complaint: (2281652), and I am waiting for the bare least amount of $46.39 to be credited back to my card.. this makes up the $25.38 in mileage over charge by making it in Miles. And at a rate $1.43 per mile. VS the contract at 0.89 per KM. I am in Ontario driving KM. NOT MILES. And the $21.01 for using a credit card to pay. Total=$46.39 I will continue to have this resolved and will ensure NO one ever goes to this Scam location again. How disgusting a place to think that UHaul would allow an establishment to be set up. Do they not look into places before you hand out franchise rights. I have used UHaul several times, and can say for sure, I wont use this again.Paul M.

The customer service was poor when we first arrived. The desk clerk did not have good communication skills and could not answer any of our questions. It was the same experience when dropped off the UHaul. The manager had to take over for both clerks and was helpful and more knowledgeable.Chantal F.
