Darren SThe truck was only half full of gas when I picked it up so I had to fill up right away. I left the truck with 3/4 of a tank. Suggest the truck should be picked up with a full tank and dropped off full as well. In my situation I ended up paying for gas I didn’t use as a result of this issue.

CHIARA TWhen renting a car trailer for local purposes it would be preferable to be given a truck rather than a cube van. It's just harder to see and the empty box reduces traction. Otherwise, it was good. Mike was great and very helpful.
rob kInterior was not clean. Stuff spilled on consol. I had to sweep out truck box as dirty. App took way too long to pick up and drop off almost 20 minutes!

Bruce BHad ordered on line. Pick up on line was frustrating. Both are retired and don’t have employers to call. One daughter in town and forth have our passports. Ordered an appliance dolly but the site where we picked up the truck never have any. Mentioned in the check form yet was charged for a missing dolly of $150.00. Left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.
Orval DI arrived 30 minutes before closing time to make the drop off easier, but they were already closed so I had to download the uhaul app and do the self drop off process. The parking lot was dirty with abandoned cars taking up valuable space for parking. Since there was no space to drop off my truck and trailer, I parked them on the boulevard in front of the shop.
Darren GI was miss guided by the renter. I was told I would not be charged if I left the trailer with him where I rented the truck. I told him I could drive it to its location were I picked it up from because it was only 15 minutes away. He said no you don’t have to. I got billed an extra $300 for dropping off the trailer at the wrong spot. I don’t think that was correct.

nayome oWe rented a 10' truck to pick up some marketplace furniture we had bought since we didn't own a big enough vehicle. We used the truck share 24/7 to pick up the truck using our phones. The location function did not work on my phone, despite us clearly being in the right place. Luckily, my wife's phone worked eventually and we were able to start the pick up process. One of the headlights on the truck was out. While we were completing the pre-trip inspection, we submitted it before we were done going through the whole form because we pressed the "go" button on the keyboard, and we missed out on important information and the chance to report any potential damage. Luckily there was none. There should really be something preventing you from being able to submit until you have gone through everything. There was no way to get back to the form once submitted. While the initial rental cost is quite cheap, the extra fees really add up and made a fairly simple trip across town and back way more than it was worth. I was specifically disappointed that U-haul charges both pretty significant mileage fees and requires you to fill up the tank to its original level, which is only mentioned 2/3 of the way through the contract. When we dropped it off again, the mobile drop off process was once again confusing and we had to be standing right against the building for the location to register. Maybe U-haul truck share 24/7 would be worth it for a long distance move, but for our purposes it was a confusing, overpriced, and stressful experience that we will never be repeating.
Erica GI think I got double charged. Paid online I think and again when I picked up the trailer. Had to repair the wiring to get the lights working. The trailer was at least clean and otherwise well maintained.

Terry Jthe store was closed before the time announced so I had to do three trips to the location which was the farthest from where I lived as I had booked a van closer to my home. The van was on empty also when I picked it up.
carole cThe trucks front LS tire was basically flat, with only 20 pounds of air. The pick up day was Sunday, it was, raining, windy and cold. I had to find someone/where to check the tire and bring it back to the required 80psi. Not easy ona Sunday and not from the area….of course I also had to pay to have the tire issue resolved. The box of the truck (interior) was filthy, as though it was used to haul dirt and construction waste. A week earlier I rented the 26 truck for another location, it was spotless. I mentioned these items at drop off, and requested a call and credit to my rental….I received a $25 credit, it was a $1,073.00 rental. Muriel Allen

Lana GSince this review doesn't have a section about the vehicle I'll add it here. The truck would strongly wobble when braking at high speeds. Like painful to hold the wheel and feels like something is going to snap, wobble. The passenger windshield wiper is trash as well. I don't know if this is a UHaul problem in general but that truck could get stuck in winter road conditions so easily (got stuck in minor slush twice)

I was scammed for lack of better words from the minute I booked this truck online. The whole experience with your company was honestly , a complete “shitshow”! I have recently submitted a “review” through a separate email to your company detailing our experience from the minute I booked the truck until the time I dropped the truck off . Would I recommend uhaul ? Definitely not!!!! Will I EVER use your services again? Definitely not! I asked for a call back from you so I can explain our experience and can’t even get that! Richard DRented an auto transport. Tire pressures were incorrect. Right rear tire was almost flat. I had to keep adding air. I wanted to report the condition of the rental, but there was not an option for that on the voice mail answering system

James DI was charged for cleaning services meamwhile i had to drive a truck the previous customer chain smoked in and butts were left in the asktray to confirm. The windshield i had to clean and fuel was under half. The wondshielf has a spidering crack that goes straight across the entire width. I was told to park my truck in the spot the uhaul was in. Then was blamed for parking in the wrong spot and requested to return an hour later to correct...to which i could not do. Upon returning the truck i was again reminded of where i parked and i argued it was parked exactly where the uhaul had been. They tried telling me the truck was over more...meanwhile its twice the size of my truck...so no it didnt take up any more space. They blamed lost business on that occurance. I felt they lacked customer service. I was never told my visa debt would not be accepted at the location..meanwhile i reserved with my visa debt. I luckily had cash to cover the amount but the guy almost didnt want to take my money even. I dont have a credit card. If money is not accepted or debt cards at locations this needs to be posted or communicated. I was having issues with the truck qnd tried telling the uhaul rep and they laughed an said its almost on its way out. After a 7 hour trip one way this made me feel like they never maintaine the vehicles. Overall the owners need to actually clean the vehicles if they plan on charging people for it. Not impressed at all.

Sabria WHad an original rental from a different U-haul location on May street, for a 9am pickup, when I arrived for pickup the store didn’t open until 11. Gore street u-haul fixed me up with a rental we no hassle.

David LNo attempt to have equipment ready or maintained. Equipment in poor condition... wiring broken/shorted, straps in multiple knots... tensioners (ratchets) mutilated and barely able to get one tensioned (even worse trying to get it to loosen once at destination). I would suggest training on what a responsible customer expects as the minimal equipment standards...

Daniel EI enjoyed the u-haul experience very much. There were no unpleasant events. The truck was excellent for the job. Fuel efficiency was surprisingly good for the heavy job it performed. I would not hesitate to consider this company again. Good work U-haul!

Ameer HIt took 2 hours of wasted time trying to get your online signin to work properly. That is all . I should be discounted because I was paying for 2 movers at 25 bucks and hour b4 we even got the truck let alone started the move. Never again and will never recommend and or have anything good ti say for that service and plus I asked fir a dolly that I was charged for on the credit card and was not equipped with one . NEVER AGAIN UHAUL!!!
