I went to another location that didn’t have the equipment I needed. They referred me to the Mills River location who did. I think the dealer should tell you that they are only renting a trailer and nothing else and they don’t provide securing devices whether part of the rental or have items for sale. So at last minute on my rental contract time I had to find and purchase straps to hold my cargo on the trailer. For most people renting this trailer could create a very dangerous possibly deadly conditions if they don’t know what equipment to use. Also it is very incompetent for U-Haul to rent a trailer with a 9,999lbs GVW and equip the tongue with a typically 6,000lbs 2” ball. Most people that rent your trailer would use a 6,000 lbs 2” ball which could create a very dangerous possibly deadly scenario. Most people are not going to know you can buy a 12,000lbs rated 2” ball and will use the latter. A 2 5/16” ball which always has a 10,000lbs rating would idiot proof this dangerous scenario. And would reduce the liability of your employees, improve the safety of your customers and equipment, and make your customer experience better.

LANCE EThe man running the place asked if we could come earlier than our reserved time. We did go earlier. He was in such a hurry to leave that he didn't explain anything about the truck or trailer or how to even send the pictures of the tags for equipment verification. My husband had to go in multiple times to talk to an assistant that was not any help, so we didn't get left until after our original reservation time.

KYLE BMills River Pack and Ship were fantastic. The uHaul app told me that this location provided mobile check in/out. They were still in process to offer the mobile check in. Nevertheless, the staff there waited an hour and half past their business hours to allow me to still pick up at my selected time! They're good people!
