At the time of pick up I was quite happy despite having to wait for about 10-15 minutes before being even said hello to or eye contact with the woman at the desk who was with some people asking questions but not renting. They stepped out and a man , that I believe I heard the woman say prior to stepping out that her manager will be in shortly . When he came in all was good and quick and before I signed anything I explained the situation and why the van was needed as their is a National dog sport competition in Namao this weekend and we will probably need to keep the van until Monday but that I wouldn’t know until my coach and then his team arrived , he said it won’t be a problem , I asked again to confirm as the dogs in the van are world competitors and are here to compete . I found out Wednesday morning that we did not have enough space with the vehicles we had to transport the dogs to and from training and to the competition so I tried to use the app as it was 5am and we planned to track and train all day and evening starting at 7 for tracking .i called the number the app lady said to and they passed me around so many times that they passed me back to the original person who said ok when I told her I need it till Monday , I was told I could extend it to Monday she said ok . I was late for tracking by this time .I tried calling but no way to leave messsge when I was at training and no answer . I tried the app again but connection wasn’t great and the convo was stuck on : please wait while I look into it for extended period . I then got harassing phone calls and when I tried to call back no answer repeatedly . Then a text from the regional manager first thing this morning . It’s disappointing to say the least as I would not have taken the van if I knew he was lying and could not guarantee I could extend the contract easily and would have just extended it right then or found the alternative, a nice bigger van for cheaper price and no hassle . Very poor management and customer service by all involved in my opinion . Disappointing after the Cranbrook U-Haul worked out so well and were so easy to deal with for pick up , questions and drop off . I won’t be using U-Haul again and will relay this experience to everyone who will listen . It was horrid treatment of what could have been a good customer
NAOMI SMy over all experience was wonderful! I was nervous moving my belongings but dealing with Christina eased my mind completely! She was excellent assisting me with my options from the first call and answered all my questions I had. Overall a fantastic experience in a stressful situation. Highly recommend!
