Conveniently located. Easy to check in and out. However, the van was absolutely filthy. So much dirt on the outside we had to drive home and clean the widows and mirrors. The previous users must have taken it off roading as there was mud all over the bottom and on the tires and wheel wells. But it drove fine and did what we needed it to do.

I completed the self check-in, which took forever and it felt unnecessary since I still had to visit the front desk to get my key. I ended up losing at least an hour of my paid time because the cell phone service was poor, which forced me to restart the check-in process twice. So long story short - just check in at the front desk it will be a lot quicker and less painful. Very nice people working there and in customer service at UHaul though.

SEMHAR MWhat happened is that I filled up the gas and it was worth a thousand. There was one dollar left for it to become a thousand. They took $39 for the gas. After I delivered the truck, I took it for three hours and they took $104 from me. What is this scam? If you do not give me back my money, I will complain. No one can scam me.

CASPIANN CThe gentleman that was there told me I had to hitch up the U-Haul by myself. I told him I had a left shoulder replacement 4 months ago and couldn't even lift the U-Haul let alone get it onto the hitch. He had numerous customers and it took us over an hour just to get the U-Haul lifted onto the hitch. Once this was lifted onto the hitch, he hooked up the chains by using the end of the chain with the hook on it and just put it over the hole in the hitch on my Armada. I told him, this was not acceptable as the chain was dragging on the ground and that it needed to be wrapped. He had no idea what he was doing and eventually had to call the manager to come out and hook this up. I was extremely upset as I knew how to hook it up but if I did it then U-Haul would decline any problems if I hooked it up. This is totally and completely not acceptable. I would never recommend U-Haul from this point on. I have used U-Haul numer times moving my father-in-law from one place to another in Mascoutah, Illinois. I used the U-Haul that used to be out near Scott Air Force Base but apparently George is no longer there and they are not using U-Hauls at all at this time. Never again, and we come to Mascoutah four times a year. I cannot recommend the Conoco at 6th Avenue and main Street in Mascoutah for any kind of trailer hookup. This was an absolute disgrace to U-Haul.

CHRISTOPHER AI made an online reservation for a 20’ truck and utility dolly. When I arrived for pick up, the U-Haul app said there was an issue with my order and gave me a number to call. After being on the phone with customer service for 13 minutes, I was told that an employee forgot to put my key in the lockbox, so I couldn’t pick up my reserved equipment unless I wanted to go to another location. A friend had given me a ride to the reserved location and didn’t have time to take me to another one. I then had to reschedule my order for the next day during business hours and find another ride. After picking up my rental truck the next day, I found that there was no dolly that I requested, and the padlock for the storage door was not functional. I didn’t report these items until returning the truck because I had already lost a day of moving time and needed to get started. In the app, it showed my drop off date and time as 2/26 at 8:30pm. I received a call from U-Haul around 1pm on 2/26 asking when I was planning to return the truck because another customer had reserved it. When I said I would return before 8:30pm, I was told I’d be charged $50 because they guaranteed the truck to someone else. I expressed my frustration about the entire situation to the employee and explained that I felt it was unfair to be charged in this circumstance, especially when the app showed a drop off time of 8:30pm. The employee understood and apologized for the inconvenience. Upon returning the truck, I was still charged the full amount, minus the dolly. Overall, I appreciate U-Haul for what it offers at the affordable prices, but as a single mom moving an entire home, I was hoping to receive the items I reserved on time and in working order at a convenient location. Besides the reservation discrepancy and missing equipment, the truck was in good condition and got the job done.

DAVID LReservation and return process was easy. Staff at the location was friendly and very helpful. Only issue was with the phone app used to verify damage to vehicle during checkout - would not allow photos to be uploaded. Staff at the location was very helpful in getting the info submitted without the app.
DEREK HThe truck was covered in snow so I had to clear that off. It was parked close to a hedge which made getting in and out difficult. And it was only 3/4 full of gas, and I ended up getting billed for the 1/4 tank when I returned it 7/8 full.

YUVARAJ SClean the trailer when someone drops it off, there was a clothing item left behind from previous user. Also I was charged for gas when I should not have been. I recommend taking pictures of your gas and mileage to rebuttal if needed. I had no proof, so I let it go, but I was charged when I should have not been. Only $13, but still.

JESUS MQuite honestly, I don't think I can make any recommendations for improvement. Daly Rojas at the 4590 S Reservoir Rd in Centennial, AR location was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! She was professional, kind, helpful, fun and incredibly patient and understanding. Daly REALLY gives U-Haul a good name and reputation - she deserves a lot of praise AND a pay increase - she was absolutely amazing.

SHAWN RThe mirrors weren't aligned to use them at all. The gas gauge was at F and they said it was full but I filled it up afterwards and it went far past where it was so I probably spent close to $10 extra on the gas. There was someone else's trash underneath the seats that I had to remove so that they didn't charge me. This experience made me feel like they were trying to figure out ways to charge me extra or get me in a car accident.

Matt Pit was a drop off site, not a UHaul location. Prefer an official UHaul location.
TREVOR BI will say that every time, I started the van bugs would start flying around. I had to return the van early per the service agent. Now I will have to rent another van and pay more money.

TODD DThe location did not have any furniture Dollies. If any equipment is not available why allow it to be added during booking. While at the pickup location, I contacted U-Haul Customer Care via live chat about the issue, they told me they would refund me the dolly rental or recommend me to a different location which has all the equipment that I wanted. However, since UHaul rental has a per mile cost, it would not make any sense going to a location further away. Apparently the “50$ credit when equipment is not available” is only applicable to trucks and not other equipments. The guy at the counter was super patient and worked with me and also gave me a utility dolly for free for the inconvenience.

Vanessa WThe location is sloppy. They gave me a truck that was dangerous to drive. The truck pulls very heavily to the left and the breaks don’t work well either and the vents are broken. The app was a mess as well, I had to go through and re do my reservation 3 different times. Then I had an issue with returning the truck on time because a few hours before I was in a bad car accident with my personal car and had to go to the hospital. While I was in the hospital I called the U-Haul to let them no that an emergency situation prevented me from returning the truck on time, thinking they would understand that I was in the hospital with injuries, but instead I ended up getting called a thief by your worker and they threatened to call the cops on me while i was IN THE HOSPITAL. I even tried to ask if I could just have my mom bring it back because she was willing to so I could stay in the hospital, but then I was told anyone else driving it would be arrested and charged with theft So I had to check out right away against the doctor’s recommendation and take the truck back with my hospital armband still on and while I was still on pain medication but of course you guys don’t care. The dangerous truck and lack of empathy when I was in the hospital was ridiculous and I will simply never use this service or recommend uhual to any friend or family member. I’ve used uhual in the past and had a great experience each time but to be called a thief because I was no unable to return the truck on time is appalling and you have permanently lost a customer.
