FRANKLIN AThe vehicle itself was in poor condition, was hard to steer and supposedly the tank was full when I picked up the truck but when I put gas in it ahow the tank was full I put 5.8 gal of gas in even though I only drove 8 miles!!!

Mario WIt is not the location I requested and significantly further to go for the pick up. I requested a different location with no response. This was the wrong direction for me to go. A pickup location west of the requested site would have been better but I didn't have an option for this.
Mark BThe gas gauge and gas mileage counter was messed up after we filled up the first time. We put gas tank in and it never registered. We drove a little bit waiting for it to change and it never did. We stop again to put gas and it did the same thing. It wouldn’t register that gas was put in it. I have receipts showing when I put gas in and pictures of the gauges not moving or changing. Then I get charged for gas when the same amount of gas that was in there when I got it is what’s in there but you can’t tell because the hand never moved

Cheng-Wei CI did not know that my required check in time was BEFORE this business opened for the day. I had to use the app, and it was not intuitive, so I had to call U-Haul customer service.

Kathy MMy reservation was a hot mess. Not available at the first 3 locations after arrival, then the trailer I did get had lights out and was dirty. No one came out to check and see if it was connected, hell they never came out at all. Very disappointing, and then the 2nd location who didn’t have my trailer charged my Amex 16 dollars.. you get a big fat F.

Jairo LI had booked my rental many, many months in advance because I wanted a place close to my home for the rental. Uhaul should make that a priority for their customers otherwise it doesn't make sense to even offer a preferred location. I had to drive 8 miles to pick up my rental truck from a place that wasn't open. I needed my truck by 9am. I wasn't informed that the place wasn't going to be open and that I needed to download the app to get my truck. It took me an extra 2 hours to receive my truck and because of this delay. I did not get to my new. home, which was in another state, until 1:30am and finished unpacking by 5am. I also had to stop at another location and collect a utility dolly that I had rented that wasn't in my rental truck. This experience was super frustrating making my move more stressful than it already was. Even though the customer service people were helpful which I was thankful for, giving me a $50 credit for my trouble seemed unacceptable and very disappointing. I will not be using Uhaul again!!!

Barikjot SFirst reservation took almost two hours to pickup and still wasn’t able to get the rental. Customer service was not helpful in resolving the issue and ended up changing the location, which was not ideal but okay, but added safe move that we did NOT want. Our move was postponed a few hours due to all the issues we had. Worst U-Haul experience I’ve ever had.

karlamaria aWhat I didn't like is that I reserved this pick up for Libertyville as it is close to 94 and where I needed to go and after I reserved it, it changed my pick up location without asking me if it was ok. It wasn't on my way. I should have an option to pick other locations. It was a good location either way just not on my way.
Tracy Sthe gal who made the reservation I think was very new? but i had specifically wanted to rent from my friends at Ace Hardware. She screwed up and put it in for the furniture store - nice enough people, but made for a half hour extra of my time plus i wasn't giving the business to my dear friends. Trying to fix this would've taken forever, but I was unhappy. Morales furniture are nice enough folks, tho they refused to inspect the truck upon return even tho I asked twice to please come see it was exactly as rented.
alice aDouble check mileage prior to leaving….mine was incorrect but the receiving end was extremely helpful to correct the situation!!!! Thanks you very much! Dave was awesome !!!!

michael SPick up location changed last minute to this location. Didn't open up until 11:00 am...vs original pick up time of 9:00 am. Did not have furniture pads as ordered. Had to drive to original pick up location to pick up furniture pads. Put us almost 3 hours behind in our original departure time...very inconvenient.

marcj sMorales furniture overcharged me for 6 furniture pads that they added to my order (without my knowledge - I did NOT need them) The blankets were not in the truck! They charged me for an appliance dolly, which again was NOT on the truck and I did not use the dolly that was on the truck and was charged for that as well! Very poor service and bad customer service as well! Will not use U-Haul ever again if this is the way you treat customers!

THOMAS LTook long time to get truck. Parking lot wasn't maintained. A lot of ice and snow. When I was returning van key drop box slot for the key was to small to fit my key. I have to call customer service to resolve this problem.
MARCIN SVehicle had garbage in the door pockets and papers on the dash, the lower passenger side mirror was cracked from previous damage I didn't see it on my initial walk around and a piece of it fell off during the trip... the cargo area wasn't swept and had old dirty boxes laying in it... (the boxes are documented in my pickup and return pics.. Driver side seat belt needs to be replaced, it hangs up when puting on and taking off...

Robert HThe people in the store were not wearing masks as mandated. They also seemed to not realize that I already did all the paperwork online and paid online. It took some explaining before she realized she had all my information. Trailer was not clean inside. Not swept or clean at all. Door needed to be cleaned and oiled. Hard to open the overhead.

Daniel PI am really disappointed to be honest because the lady in the place I rented the Uhaul in Waukegan gave me wrong information and I got charged twice! During this hard times I had the need to move and I feel unfortunate because $40 dollars extra for me at this time is a lot of money. I lost $40 because of a lady works for Uhaul and has very little knowledge about the actual service and because of that, I lost $40 extra! I would honestly want a refund but I couldn't even talk about it with her because she told me to "Google" Uhaul customer service number! Seriously? That's how she provides assistance? She gave me wrong information about the return time, was rude, careless. Would not recommend. You're asking me what you can do to improve, you guys can start by refunding my $40 for an extra day!

Rayshawn BClean the trucks. Also list the reason for the charges I was charged $80 besides the rental price and I don’t know why we drove barely 20 miles and I got charged for the wrong insurance coverage I got the $14 one but I got charged $28.
Adolfo AThey were closed on a Saturday morning so I had to do the virtual pickup. They did not put the dollies in my truck but did charge me for them. Since they were closed, I had to go to another uhaul location to pick up and pay for the dollies. I can not recommend this location.
Michael BThe worker could not use the software and had to call corporate. It was an extremely long process to check the vehicle out. When I got the van it had 3/4 a tank of gas, when I returned the van the worker told me to use the online check in. I did and after going through a very long process it wanted to charge me for the 1/4 tank of gas that I didn't use. So I had to go in and have the worker go through the check in anyway. She had a hard time understanding the screens. It was clear that English was not her native language so the screens were not making sense to her. Especially the fuel one. I had to explain what they meant to her.
