The lady behind the counter is the same one I had previously who had no clue what she was doing. Finally she asked someone else to help while she then played on her phone. Mind you this is after the 1st time when she refused to let me drop it off because it was after 5 pm and their paperwork said we could return it at anytime and had to videotape her admitting to not helping me before she finally would.REN G.

Reserved uhaul for 8 am pickup, was confirmed for self pickup when the uhaul rep called the day before. When I arrived at the location at 8 am the pickup instructions said I needed to wait until 9 am for hand delivery of the vehicle. The uhaul representative was late arriving to work. I did not receive the truck until nearly 9:30 am and lost out on 90 minutes of my reservation and moving day.Zachary D.

Make sure the units are clean. the unit I rented was not clean! I could smell cigarette smoke and marijuana when using the air There was no tie down for the dolly. Oh and just as a side note. my original pick up location was in Valemount. When I arrived there was no truck!! (that was one hr. drive) I then had to drive to Prince George 3hrs. to pick one up. then another two hrs. to get home NOT impressed :( I was offered 50.00 for my troubles. Really????QUIRINO M.

There was a issue with U-haul's web site. It was down. I was happy the representative was able to contact someone and do it manually so I could get my rental as I had people helping me load.Laurel L.

I had called in reserved a truck ahead of time, upon arriving I was told the truck they have for me has break issues. I got a second truck instead, it wouldn't start. Got a third truck, it ran, barely. It had no windshield washer fluid, and the maintenance was lacking on it too. The trucks seem unsafe and not kept professionally, I will not recommend this location to folks I know needing a truck.TYLER C.

They said the tank was full when we picked it up. We drove only 14.3 miles yet when we topped up the tank when we returned it, we had to put in 14.9 litres of gas. We thought that was a bit excessive.Julie G.

Because of the location, I am assuming that this is not a real busy spot. We chose this because it was close to our loading point. We hoped to be hooked up and gone shortly after 9am. The operator was late getting there. (according to the attendant this is normal).. It was almost 9:30 by the time we left. The trailer was parked in a "snow bank" and I had to pull it out to be able to check the running lights. As I never plan to go to Prince George again, I hope a comment would improve things with their next customers.Ken W.

The little trailer that I rented is in bad shape lights didn't work and the box itself was falling off I mentioned it to them upon return he told me yes he knows but rent it out anyway ??CHRISTOPHER H.
Nothing wrong with the place storing the uhaul, typical under-trained gas station attendant. The problem I had was with uhaul itself. They had completely changed the contract when I went to pay for it and pick up the keys: adding days, and removing milage and almost doubling the price. Had to spend almost 45 minutes sorting it out on the phone. Bad form to change somebody's contract and hope they won't notice.Breann K.
The truck was in poor condition with high mileage and had not been cleaned inside in a long time.The location is adequate but not well setup to have the uhaul business running alongside the gas station/store. The trucks and trailers are parked in a dirt and gravel area buried in snow and mud which makes getting at them and trailer hooked up challenging of the weather is bad. Overall disappointing experience but unfortunately there is little else for options.Matthew D.

13 years ago we had a brutal experience with Uhaul but decided to let them have another chance, maybe the quality of the service has improved. NOPE. Still the worst company I have ever dealt with. I feel bad for the kids working at the gas station representing this business having to take the heat. Why would you give me a 3/4 full tank and tell me to return it with 3/4 tank? How am I supposed to know from the outside of the truck when it's 3/4 full? Fill it a little then go in and check over and over? We overpaid $60 which is just annoying but enough to remind me to always go with Budget for a moving truck. I learned to not bother contacting uhaul customer service from past experience. I had original booked a truck for 8 am and then was told I couldn't pick it up till 11 am. When I got there to pick up my truck they told me it still wasn't there and there wasn't anything I could do except take a smaller truck. I had only one day to move and had to get started so I took the smaller truck meaning I couldn't move all my stuff. Overall the employee at the MR G Shell was really polite and good but the uhaul experience was definitely not that good.ANDREA M.

After dealing with a very friendly rep in barriere and then getting a call first thing in the morning or morning from the dealer in prince george asking if we're able to bring the truck in earlier before noon even though we'd only pick the truck up the day before in barriere and I said we have it until Monday at noon got a little attitude from them I guess they must have needed a truck then upon return representative in Prince George doesn't say Hi how are you how was your drive how was the truck anything like that just took the keys punch the number to the computer said he'd be back in a minute Come Back Inn for some of my own moving pads and said they were his after I told them they were mine he finally agreed after checking on the computer that they weren't his all-in-all I wasn't happy with his personality to be working with the public he needs a little bit more people skills anyway after dealing with the barriere person and having to deal with this Prince George person they were two totally different styles I guess I was spoiled with ShaneLorrie B.

Normally I don't fill these out. I've dealt with U-Haul locations a ton in the past and most are forgettable, mediocre, or barely tolerable. However, the folks at this location were exceptionally nice and helpful. I was dreading renting this trailer but will have absolutely no reservation in doing business at this location again.Brandon B.

The tires on the unit I rented are not for the north country. It had Arizona plates on it and some kind of hot weather smooth tire on it. Vehicles need appropriate tires for the territory they are in. If this unit stays up here in poor weather it will result in someone dying. The tires are not suitable for the location it's being rented out of.KEVIN H.

When I went to drop the truck off the person was vertical rude. I was told to drop it off by 4 and that I'd get my deposit back the same day if I did. When I got there the clerk told me that they were closed for the day and that I'd have to go back tomorrow to get my deposit. Which means that over the course of 24 hours I had to travel a total of 60k out of my way for the Uhaul rental. I had reserved one less than 2k from my house, I got shuffled to one 10.2k out of the way.Samantha S.

The truck was not ready, it was dirty and covered in snow. The employee got it stuck in the middle of the gas station parking lot, left it there for us to figure out. It was complete junk. Dirty, suspension completely gone.. I will never rent any sort of unit for UHaul again. Very disappointed, in the quality and customer service.Katherine B.

No proper parking lot units just scattered in the snow around the perimeter. Manager useless, despite personally guiding the trailer into the place he wanted, he couldnt be bothered to enter the return into inventory, leaving me to spend a hour on Sunday fixing his mess. Recommend to a friend..........................i wouldn't recommend you to a enemy. Considering this is what you do, you are pretty hopeless at it.Mark W.

Arrived at the location before my pickup time. The truck they had there had a hole in the fuel tank and could not be driven. Apparently gas theft in BC is becoming a big problem, with UHaul trucks being easy rich targets. Store owner contacts the Head Office, who contacts the repair centre, and I get a replacement truck to my location. I depart with the replacement truck only a Â½ hour behind schedule, still manageable. Staff at Mr G were helpful courteous and understanding, I would go there again.Bruno R.

The area where the paperwork is done could be better setup. It's near the cash register so their is constant interruptions. There is also a cell phone charging display with bright light on the RH side blinding you while at the counter. I had some difficulties with the attendant, he was asking for the address where I was going. I asked for a tool free number but was only getting the Vancouver so I had to go online to get the number and out the agent in the speaker on my cell so the rep could tell him how to do it. Everything got sorted out but I lost 30-45 minutes for something that I never had any issue with before.Sylvain G.

Location I got my truck at was good service but many other ones in town are not. If you are moving locally they will not try to accommodate you at all, pretty much you're lucky if you even get a truck because they're all holding out for a long distance move.LEAH B.
The staff were not very knowledgeable, there was only one person there that could do the returns and it is a busy gas station. The location was convenient to our home so I would use again only for that reason.Bethany F.
I tried to drop off the trailer midday the person behind the counter would not or did not want to accept a drop off of a trailer because he was to busy and to busy to fill out the return paperwork , he said his boss would email my paperwork after I finally convinced him I wasn't going away and coming back the next day . Trailer was damaged at the hitch with a a broken bolt and damaged brake spring and no lights working, u-haul did find a shop quick to repair the equipment and the repair shop was very quick and helpful at getting me back on the moveJames B.
