MARK PSweep the snow off instead of giving a broom to your client and ensure your equipment is in working order as the clips to hold the ramps were defective which allowed the ramps to roll out the end and onto the roadway which put our lives in danger on a busy Forest Service Road.
VICTOR LThe gentleman behind the counter had no common sense when I returned the rental; kept insisting that I needed to fill the gas tank to full even though it was at a quarter tank when I picked up the rental, as per the agreement I signed when renting the truck. I returned the renal with the fuel gauge at the same point. The return process took 30 minutes and much too much argument over a simple bit of common sense. Upon pickup, the clerk that helped me really had no idea what to do, and that process took 20 minutes which was much to long. In addition, the original location of my reservation changed, resulting in me having to pay for mileage just to pick up the rental. I will never go to this location again, and I'd like to avoid Uhaul again if I can help it.

Kenneth AIt’s the worst experience with U-haul ever as a first time customer! The lady who assisted me by the time it was booked did a terrible mistake. It was clearly added and was captured on the cctv that an insurance coverage is added.. Only to find out that it was’nt when the accident occurred. Pretty much, U-Haul should train and hire someone who speaks well and comprehend properly.
Shane GThis was a terrible experience for me. And even after telling the counter staff he seemed not to show any concerns. The truck drive was terrible. Something is wrong with the transmission. When you hold a break it begins to Rev. I barely made it to my residence. secondly this wasn’t where I booked my truck for. I book my truck for 5th and Tabor which is the closest location to my place. Yet for some reasons I found out I have to drive over 15km to go get the truck. And when I requested if I could drop off at the nearest location I was told No. so my drive to and from my location is over 30km. I didn’t see the sense in keeping it for 2 reasons. The transmission and the thought of how much I had to pay extra for the truck. I paid over $160 and I feel ripped off.
DICKSON IIt took over 30 minutes to return the trailer, had to deal with two people and they had to call U-Haul to find my contracts so I could return the trailer. U-Haul seems to have a new system that confuses everyone. I was told to return the trailer to the far corner of the parking by myself with out any assistance from anyone to help me back the trailer into the spot they asked me to put it in.
MARK LWe asked to return the trailer to our local U-Haul dealer and were told that we would have to pay an additional $600.00. We live about 100 km from where we picked it up, this is not how your company advertises.

WILLIAM BClerks said there was no reservation but I showed them the confirmed reservation on my phone and eventually they found it. Took a very long time for check out and check in procedure, it seemed like the clerks were not properly trained on the U Haul system. They were friendly but clearly not given the ability to efficiently process transactions. I would recommend that management spend more time training and making sure the clerks know how to use the system. Also the trailer latching pin thing was bent making it hard to lock and unlock. The trailer was dirty and had gravel and plant matter from a previous customer.

Gary RThere was only one attendant and she was interrupted a few times. I spent almost 45 minutes to pick up the trailer because there was issue with the rental agreement. This is not the first time I had issue with this location. I was trying this location because of its proximity to where I was going.

Gordon GI was given an Arizona truck with summer tires to go through the Rocky Mountains in winter. Pretty sure this was illegal as winter tires are required by law in British Columbia. I didn’t notice the tires until too late but luckily the roads were clear. The truck was dirty, not swept out and still had a trailer car dolly attached which I had to unhook. The staff were simply gas station workers and didn’t look at anything except the mileage and gas level. No washer fluid and the check engine light came on part way through the trip. Obviously no pre trip service was done and this location should not be a u-haul dealer. Finally, I ordered 48 blankets but they only had 3. Lousy experience.
Dennis JCustomer service was lacking, wasn’t able to pick up U-Haul in desired location so had to travel to pick up a truck, the truck was dirty and wasn’t able to upload a picture of the box, also didn’t get confirmation that they accepted the truck when I dropped it off the night before it was due to be returned. Awful service.

Sally HUhaul broke down half way on the trip. Major transmission problems. Ww were stranded for 2 days. New uhaul was dirty and only had 1/4 tank of gas, but I had just filled up the last one. Uhaul hired mechanics to move my stuff to the other uhaul and they couldn't fit all my stuff in. My dad had to fill his truck and drive 12 hours round trip to get all my things to the destination. The mechanic/movers did not pack stuff well and things were broken. Boxes opened and things all over the uhaul. I dropped off the uhaul with 1/4 tank of gas and got charged for gas. 100% would NOT recommend or use Uhaul ever again.
Lisa AI was very disappointed in Uhaul after not giving a credit for returning the trailer 2 days (42 hours) early. I picked up a 6x12 trailer in Kamloops on Thursday morning at 9:30 and dropped it off at the Shell gas station around 3:30pm on Friday. The Shell had no other 6x12 units to rent, which meant that potentially someone could have rented it that day. How is that fair and justified that I could potentially be paying for someone to get use out of the trailer that I am still paying for??? Double dipping by Uhaul? The week prior, my girlfriend rented a 6x12 trailer in Kamloops and returned it a day early in Prince George and received a $60 refund on the unit. Not impressed at all with Uhaul or the staff at the gas station who spoke very poor English and failed to acknowledge why I was upset. Will definitely be spreading the word if nothing is done about this. Kevin

Daniel CI ordered the car puller to be in Quesnel at the same time as the U-Haul but it was not had to drive to Prince George one hour and 15 minutes each way at my cost I don’t feel that I should’ve paid the same price when I had to go pick up the trailer

john rCheck wipers to make sure they work properly. Seems like the thermostat is not working on the truck Service truck more frequently, especially when the customer is going on a long trip. Ensure the car transporter has working lights. Both car dollies at the first location were were not fit for transport.
Roderick MThe location we ended up getting our rental from was good however, the original location we were booked at was a terrible experience that ended up costing us extra time and money and we were very disappointed in our overall experience with U Haul. The original location we booked with did not open when they were supposed to on our rental day. This left us stuck without a truck for an additional 2+ hours until we were able to rebook with another location. This cost us extra in fuel as well as in having to pay our hired moving help for an additional 2 hours. This also set us back on time, which is important on a moving day. It was a very frustrating experience.
joseph bThe truck was not cleaned inside, was on empty, and they were all in snow. I was told that if I cleaned it and put gas in I would be credited, but the gas credit was far less than I used. The staff was kind, but not very helpful.

Kristy GThe trailer I rented was covered in snow and ice. The safety chains and power wires where frozen to the ground in 3 inches of ice. After I dug out the trailer and got it hooked to my truck I had to repair the wiring harness.
James HDo not bother renting dollies or blankets because they don't have them. Best bet is to make sure you have your own supplies.

Alan PThe persons who rented the unit to me were unprepared and seemingly didn’t know how to do the check out process. There was no walk around of the unit. The unit came with less than a full tank of fuel. There was nowhere near the amount of moving blankets I requested. Then there was the truck itself. When you started the unit all you can hear is exhaust leak. All you can smell is exhaust leak. After some further inspection I find the exhaust manifold is cracked and pouring exhaust our under the drivers feet. This is in no way safe for people to drive. While my wife was driving behind me she noted the tail lights were flickering like mad whenever I would brake or signal. The headlights were dim and poorly aimed making them next to completely useless. Thankfully most of my driving was done during the day. The windshield wipers were so worn out they would barely wipe the big wash off the windshield. When climbing hills there was a loud squealing coming from under the cab , not the engine most likely transmission. The cab was dusty and had spilled drinks of previous renters on the floor. The exterior was filthy with dust and a thick coating of bugs all over the front. I did not expect to have a brand new unit to drive across the province but this thing should be retired and put to scrap , I was incredibly lucky it survived the trip. I am so unimpressed with this rental unit and location I would recommend they not even remain open.
RYAN CThe price quotes online should match when a person calls to make a reservation. If a discount is given to a customer, it should be honored. If it's in question then customer service should have access to recordings Immediately or other staff members qualified to do so.
teresa fThe drop off staff was rude and made me feel like I was bugging him with my questions. I never used their services before and I wanted to make sure I completed my end of the contract. But he snapped and seemed bothered that I should have questions dropping off equipment and just leaving it there. Other than that I was very satisfied with uhal's service and would use it again if needed.
Allen OThe branch doesnt release the unit until 9am but from your website i was able to book 8am. Either change the branch schedule or disable the time earlier than what theyre told to entertain customers. Its not the employees fault, its the management. I had to wait doing nothing just because there’s a procedural error.
Lou BThe whole uhaul customer service and experience was stressful from the day i found out I couldn't tow with my explorer. Then the day before moving I got a call saying I would have to pick up the trailer out in Bear Lake. Then I was told both truck and trailer would be at Gauthier..... No truck there so I ended up driving back across town to Hands On for the truck then back again for trailer. Although Pitt Meadows drop off location was not marked well the service was much more pleasant and helpful.
