Be helpful for disabled people to be able to rent at an affordable rate & not try to be cut throat about every opportunity to add on extra charges. I live off $800 social security disability income each month AND have 2 teenage boys to care for alone. My husband passed away. A $30 UHaul rental became $150 because I had nobody to drive it back for me on time. My care givers had gone home & then it was the weekend. They were off. I now have $0 in the bank & don't know how I'm going to survive the rest of the month.

U-haul central scheduling informed us via text message that we had to drop the truck at a location 30 miles out of the way... When called, a very rude person said that was the way things are done, and that U-hual Scheduling got to pick our drop-off point, not us. A location in the neighborhood of our destination would have been more helpful. Flipant, rude people do not reflect a company that values their customers. Next time, I'll look for other options. Your central scheduling folks are the focus of my remarks...not Mr. Tire Service folks in Minneapolis.

NIALL BGas line of the vehicle had a hole in it. It spewed out gas and I had to refill it twice just to make it around after explaining to U-Haul support staff I wasn’t comfortable driving a vehicle that was drained of gas. Will not use U-Haul again after this experience.
JOSEPH SI forgot to do the return check-in when I returned the truck yesterday (only had 1 day). I am so sorry. I know there will be an additional $20 charge.
CAROL OHello, First off , I am not happy that my confirmed reservation was changed less than 1 hour before pickup and no text or email was sent till after i got to my location to find out i was transferred to another location that was not preferred. The process overall was not acceptable to do all the checkout through the app when i specifically asked to go to an actual location. Overall, Was not happy with the process and very pissed that it cost me time and money going to a new location and changing plans on a moving day. Not the way to do rentals and to top it off, I had a very unpleasant representative at my original location, would not recommend or use this service again, especially at that location! BILLY MI walked in and the guy behind the counter and another guy were taking they both looked at me and I said I’m here to get my uhaul and my name is Matt Lacny. He looked at me weird and I held up my phone and he looked at me weird. He then said do you think you are more important than this guy. I said no but it says skip the line and all you have to do is hand me the keys so I can get to a job. He shook his head and rolled his eyes. I wouldn’t have said anything but they both looked at me like what I was doing in there. Very rude and I’m not renting from there again.

Alicia HAt no point on the product selection site, detailed estimate of charges, or confirmation email -or- in person during pick up was a fuel charge mentioned. I was subsequently charged $26 for fuel on a 6 mile trip on top of the mileage rate. Ridiculous.

Natalie CI rented a moving truck, some dollies and moving pads to help me out while moving. At the pick up time, the truck was there but none of my dollies or pads were. Since this location doesn’t employ any U-Haul personnel, who do you complain to? I was able to get a refund on my dollies and pads that I didn’t get, by chatting with customer service, but getting a refund didn’t alleviate the issue of carrying heavy boxes and furnitures for over 5h. In the future, I will use another U-Haul location for my needs.

James DThe employee working at the location said that they had notified Uhaul of its closure that day, but Uhaul scheduled a dozen or more trucks for that day. This lead to me not being able to properly do a mobile pick up of the truck and had to get help inside to get keys and truck information. The location is not at fault for this mishap and Uhaul should seek to improve the steps for mobile pickup.
Brett PThey moved us to an inconvenient location and then when we arrived, they didn't have the truck and sent us to another location. Very stressful for moving day and set us back behind schedule.
Chad Bby his watch we were 5 minutes past closing time for the uhaul service time, and he made a big deal out of that and what a “favor” he was doing by processing the return. never mind that the truck wasnt due back for two more days and we would have been fine doing the return thing ourselves online. then he scolded us for not having folded up blankets, telling us we would be charged for that, even though i never paid for blankets to be available in the first place, and when we got the truck they were just there and piled up, which is exactly how we left them. we tried to explain that, but we still had to go back out and fold them. no big deal, but what a rude way to treat people

Piero PWhen I ordered the truck online, I declined the insurance. When my husband picked it up they tried to swell him insurance again and he declined it. When we returned the truck I noticed a $15 safe travels charge. I asked about it and he said it was insurance. When I told him we had declined insurance not once but twice, he told me there was nothing he could do about the charge and I’d been in an accident I wouldn’t be there complaining. Wow. If this is the way you meet your sales goals, that’s pretty sad. I will be contesting this charge with my credit card. And posting my comments in an online review.

Weilun TI dropped the truck off after regular business hours. The online process was convenient and user-friendly.
Nathaniel MI dropped off and did the online checkout link but they billed me $20 and I had to spend 20 minutes at least with customer support to get it back. Luckily the regional guy did get it back to me right away once we finally connected
