The tire was low and I was receiving a low tire notice at all the times during my trips. I had to move out from my college dorm by noon time that day and I had to go through all bureaucracy and time consuming of getting the van key by U-Haul App. I never received a text message or a phone call from U-HAUL informing me that the U-HAUL Store would have an inspection that day of my moving out from my dorm and the store would be closed. I wanted to rent a dolly to carry my small fridge and microwave and all heavy boxes back home and I could not rent the dolly and it was very hard to transport my stuff from the van to my apartment back home. Took me a very while to answer all questions, taking photos, uploading the photos at the U-Haul app and waiting the approval to get the code to open the box and to get the key. This was a very stressful experience. Never more U-HAUL.

Justin or Julian (didn’t remember his name…) was extremely accommodating and made process super easy. Your UHaul App doesn’t make things easy. So im glad a réal person was there and EARLIER than when they are advertised to open. Big praise to Muffler Mart!

Send customers to U haul facilities that focus on UHaul and sell or rent needed products, e.g. pads, dollies, straps. Columbus Circle should be a last resort. On the other hand, the Boylston facility was great Especially employee Franklin, who absolutely saved UHauls reputation in our opinion.

Justin and his team are always extremely helpful and provide amazing service. I go to muffler mart for all of my U-haul rentals, oil changes, tires, inspection and pretty much anything my car needs! Always incredible service!

The self pickup process is not very good especially when it’s 10° and your phone keeps dying in the cold. We sorted that out, but the real problem was the truck was out of gas and did not have working seatbelts. There’s also no easy way to get out except driving over the curb onto a busy road.

The radio didn’t work nor did the usb and the van was dirty. The process to log on and submit drivers license should be done before the person picks up the van because it’s dark and dangerous in that area. Waiting around to wait for everything is process is crazy. There needs to be more light for night time.

I still got charge for gas they said i got with QUATER TANK I DIDNT I GOT IT 56 MILES AWAY FROM EMPTIED WHICH WAS A LITTLE LESS THEN 1/2 OF QUATER. I RETURNED WITH WITH EXACTLY 1/2 OF A QUATER I WOULD LIKE MY $45 BACK

Location did not have my van's keys in the lockbox despite the exact van I needed being in the lot. I had to call customer support to swap my reservation to a box truck. The location did not have my dollies in the original van nor the replacement. I called support to add a note for the location to refund me but despite the note they gave, the location didn't bother to give me a refund. I had to call support to dispute the charges.

I wish I had an opportunity to review the online check in and check out process, which was terrible. Not the location’s fault that I kept getting booted out or that required photos weren’t accepted or even able to be taken. It was a frustrating, time-consuming ordeal.

Make sure ordered items are in the truck or at the very least make sure all tires have air in them and that the gas gauge on the contract is what is provided to the customer.

My father was picking up the U-Haul for me after hours. The QR codes that he had to scan required him to download an app and spend over an hour calling and chatting with various people in order to get the lock box number and code. I also spent over 30 minutes trying to help him by calling U-Haul as well.

the trailer i rented was installed wrong. it fell off my car while driving 1 block away from the location and nearly killed me and my family. i have filed a claim for damages. this is a horrible experience.

When picking up the van the app would not complete the process without telling me why. I had to spend 40 minutes on the phone to discover that the reason why it would not go forward is because of my out of state DL and the verification process would take longer. I had booked this van months in advance and this verification could have been done well ahead of time. There is a lot of room for improvement here.

Please be clearer on the details for picking up the truck, specifically with an out of state ID - made pick up very painful and waited a while (although that was also because of customer support). However, the big part too was there was missing items that we had ordered that were not included in the truck unfortunately. And no one was there at 5:00 on a Thursday.

The app malfunctioned so many times I could barely pick up the truck. When I finally got the truck it was at less than a quarter tank so I had to add gas and I still got charged for gas after I returned it. When I returned it the app malfunctioned again and simply told me to put the keys in the lock box to return. After the rental didn’t end I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with customer support to finally end the rental.

First time using U-Haul and the experience absolutely crush my desire to ever using it again. I would rather pay up to get a mover rather than being in a mile wide radius of any U-Haul location. The reasons are as following: 1. I booked a 9' online to pick up at Boston and drop off in a PREDETERMINED location in 40 BRUCKNER BLVD, NYC. Got a confirmation email. A day before the pick up date a representative called and said they dont have such car anymore. I got updated to a 10' instead. I don't have a lot of stuff anyway but all goods. 2. The next day, I got to the location to pick up. A representative came and give me the key WITHOUT checking my order or my license. This is my first time driving U-Haul so I thought this is the standard process. In the meanwhile, my order in the U-Haul app was magically cancelled. I looked at the cancelled status confused but did not think much. This prove to be disastrous later. 3. I drove to NYC and ready to drop off the truck at around 9PM. I came to my chosen drop-off location but some how while I called, the call receiver said they closed down the location??!! Now with no rep at the spot and no order in my account, I am stucked with the truck OVERNIGHT until I can go drop it off next morning. There is no warning, no guidence after booking online, it totally evaded my while U-Haul put an inactive location at 40 BRUCKNER BLVD, NYC on their website and let customer choose it as an overnight drop off location. 4. I tried to call U-Haul CS line. Got put on hold for 45 min for 'Technical Difficulty' after some one finally pick up. I laid out my situation and the rep basically said that since NYC does not allow overnight drop off, it's on you buddy. You know in NY its not easy to find a rented spot for a 10' truck, and it takes me 1 hour driving around at night to find a street parking. 5. Next day I went to a U-Haul location at Grand Concourse at the Bronx, NYC, and to my surprise, yes, they do allow overnight drop off. So U-Haul rep (referred to at (4)) does not even know the most basic thing about the serive that their company is offering, and basically just push the liability to the customer and brushing away their responsibility. 6. The rep at Grand Concourse was very helpful and help me paid off my balance. However, if it is not me but someone with bad intent, they could totally steal the truck and leave U-Haul to figure it out.

Great experience overall! The app did quit halfway through the return process ao I never got a receipt. Also, non-adjustable seats in the truck made it very hard to reach pedals - anyone shorter than 5'4" wouldn't have been able to drive it safely!

My original rental was for a location on Mass ave, and much to my surprise the trailer was not available when I arrived to pick it up. I was fairly pissed off that I wasted 30 minutes of my time at the location I was supposed to pick the trailer up, and another 30 driving to this new location. The owner at Muffler Mart did not waste my time, had a couple of his guys move around the equipment to get access to the trailer and got me out and on my way.

The self-service pickup app did not work and caused me to have to call Uhaul support and do the process on a mobile browser to get around a bug, which ended up taking so long a friendly employee checked me out manually inside the store. My experience with the self-checkout was awful and I will not use it again, but the location and its service was excellent.

This location was great! Full service staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rent the truck for a move..Justin pulled of the truck for me gave me a quick review of the gas and truck….even adjusted the mirrors for me. He explained to me the after hour truck process for drop off (which I did not follow) I had a very looonnnggg day and return the truck at about 8ish. Locked it up and dropped the key I went to the self check and my phone was dead. I checked but everything was locked up I decided I would call once my phones was charged..and drove off. About 45 seconds later I remember that I didn’t grab my pocket book in the truck. I PANICKED I said omg what if someone comes and grabs the truck so I turned around to I went back to station even cried from the stress and exhaustion lol. When I get be Justin is ther and also looked panicked. He had called my emergency contact! I thank him and really appreciate his kindness. GREAT GREAT!!
