I have rented U-Hauls for years when I need to move things. Other locations were very prompt and courteous. This place is a convenience store and the employee was working was by himself. There were customers coming in and out the whole time I was there. So, I Had to wait while he waited on convenience store customers (which I understand they cannot be kept waiting, either). It was frustrating. Then, when I dropped the U-Haul off the owner of the store was there. I put the required gas back in the tank to bring it back to 1/2 full. As the "employee" was asking me questions the owner jumped into the conversation telling me that the amount of gas I put in was not enough. He did not bother to go check the gauge or even the mileage. I had to tell them what the mileage was and I told this man the gas tank was at 1/2 full. He started arguing with me. Who does this? Very unprofessional. I told him if they cannot handle U-Haul rentals they should not be offering the service. Any other place of business would have gone out to check the gas tank and mileage. It was pouring down rain so I guess the man did not want to get wet but he felt it was okay for me to go out and get wet. I have never talked back to anyone but I was so frustrated with this owner and the way he spoke to me in a condescending manner I could't and won't let it go. I plan to put this all over social media, specifically, his place of business...not the U-Haul itself. The store is in a more depressed type of area so, perhaps, the owner felt like he could speak to me the way he talks to his customers. I will never enter that store, again. It was a horrible experience all the way around. The rap music is so loud I could barely hear what the employee was saying. Worst experience, ever. Thank you for allowing me to enter my input and my experience. There are plenty of other places to rent a U-Haul.Susan V.

There was a bunch of homeless people leaned up and sitting next to the truck. The place smelled like urine. We did not feel safe at all picking up or dropping off this truck.Kristin W.

I'm a normal uhaul customer and never experienced this poor service before and never again to rent from this location. very bad experience and uhaul should refund me... 1- Took me a long time to check in. 2- I had to connect the trailer myself and test it (LIBELITY) 3- Trailer was not clean from inside nor outside (white sticky substance that sticks to your hand) 4- Poor information (I asked the gas station cashier if I need it longer do I have to cal, and he said no, yet the owner called question me why I haven't returned the trailer and got confused when I told him that I was told that I don't have to call) 5- I had to disconnect the trail upon return (another liability) I don't recommend anyone to rent uhaul from this gas station place especially if you have back pain or do not have experience with connecting a trailer)Emil G.

I've used U-Haul several times now, but this was the 1st time I called the 1 800 U-Haul number because I had an emergency and my local agent didn't? have any vehicles to rent in such short notice. I'm glad I did make the reservation because the agent at "My Fuel Xpress" location was extremely rude, and obnoxious...and especially did have any customer service/communicate skills. I had two customers ahead of me, which they had personally called the store. One customer needed a truck, and the other customer needed a van. Huge problem...he only had ONE van in the parking lot! Once he finally checked his computer, he told the customer that needed the van, that he couldn't have it because I had reserved it online. Then he had the nerve to tell the customer, after he personally spoke to him on the phone, "you should have reserved it online!". No apologies, no sorry, just "I know how to run my business and I know I have a truck out there" and he dangled? a set of keys. The customer left angry and very upset. Then the next customer said, "Ok, can we rent that truck?". He once again looked at his computer and told the customer that she can't have it because someone was scheduled to pick it up at 3pm and they were running late! Once again, the customer left angry and upset. When it was my turn, he said that "there's a mandatory insurance upcharge because the cargo equipment is not covered by my personal insurance." I've used U-Haul many times, and I've always had the option of declining their insurance. Not this time. No option. I'm still looking, but so far, I don't see anywhere in the contract that states that a cargo van requires a mandatory insurance charge when I have the option of declining U-Haul insurance on their largest trucks. Overall, the worst customer service ever...and I've worked in customer service before. Horrible! Never again! How does an international company associate themselves with such horrible service! Once I finally was able to use the van, it was full of cigarettes smoke. The worsted experience ever!Jorge A.
I took three trips for me to return the trailer. The Fuel Xpress at first simply refused to accept it. You company told me to visit a second location and assured me that it had the proper paperwork. The person there again refused to accept the return. Finally, after three or four calls to your 800-number, the first location agreed.michael H.

First it was 40 cents a mile. Then when we checked out they said 59 cents but when I looked at my final bill it was 69 cents a mile. The milage they were showing indicated I had driven 42 miles. We checked the milage and I'm being generous at 30 miles total. Additionally I was not told of a 10.00 insurance charge. I paid twice what I was told. I will never go back there. Place was hoppin' because it's a gas station and cell phone store among other things, but the guy renting it to us was so helpful. Everything seemed to be in order, and the price came out to less than I thought considering we had to call and ask to keep the van a few more hours. Thanks for the great service!Brooke J.

Hours are advertised as 0900 AM to 1000 PM. Not so. i had to make a second trip in the morning to check out the truck, and the shop was closed when I returned at 9:30 PM, so I had to make a second trip on the return also.Gerald A.

This location had 1 trailer. After reserving the trailer with Uhaul over the phone, I picked up the trailer and was only given a receipt and no instructions or forms. I called Uhaul to pick the destination in Charleston and then contacted the destination after and was instructed thereafter to leave the unit at the location after hours with no further instructions. During the next month ( I dropped the trailer off one day after I picked it up ) I was contacted several times about the trailer not being returned. I was then told the trailer was reported stolen and that I had nothing to worry about. On Christmas eve, I received an email and a bill for 468.60 that was drafted out of my account without my authorization or any prior notification. I then spend half a day on Christmas Eve (10am-3:30pm) on the phone with horrible customer service and no help whatsoever. I was disconnected over 6 times, transferred around about 12 times, and had to repeat my story about 20 times or more. The lady in Orange City was very rude to me as well. Finally on Friday Phillis in Orange City called me back and refunded my money which took until Sunday to credit leaving me with a $35.00 overdraft fee that I have to pay for. Overall, I will NEVER use UHaul again. I was the worst customer service I have ever encountered in my entire life. I did exactly what I was instructed to do but was accused of not returning the trailer and then charged almost $500 with no warning. It made my Christmas eve horrible!!!Jen M.

It was in an uneasy location and the description of location was incorrect. It told us a Hess station and it was a Mobile gas station. There was no gas in the vehicle at time of pick up. It also to an extremely long time to sign contract upon arrival (over an hour)ASHLEY G.

The people that were working at this location were not really aware how to use the UHaul computer & could not give a rate for the trailer until the very end of the transaction. No help to hook-up the trailer was offered, until we struggled & got upset on hooking it up ourselves. We feel that $245 for 2-day rental of a 4x8 trailer was outrageous!! If rates had been available BEFORE we started the long journey with this lengthy transaction, we would not have RENTED this at all! At this point, we will NOT be ever renting a Uhaul again!!RANDALL W.
The man was not there, the lady running the store said he should be back shortly. After waiting 15 minutes she said she would try to help but if a customer came in she couldn't she had to run her register. She called the uhaul man they said just leave it. We had reserved a furniture dolly. When we went to pick up our trailer and dolly, the store did not have a dolly. The clerk couldn't figure out how to refund our money or contact any other u-hauls to see if they had a dolly. We were there over an hour trying to get our trailer. The guy ignored us for a while. When he finally helped us he just asked for the contract. He continued viewing his computer without letting me know what was going on. When I asked he said he had to look at the UHAUL. I went outside and waited and waited and waited. He never came out. So I went back in and had to find him. Finally he said everything was okay. I was greatfull that they had what I needed in stock and the staff was very nice, however it took 40 minutes to check out when there were no other customers. Also we were told that the dolly we rented would work with 33" tires.... that was not the case. Since we were 80 min round trip back to where the vehicle was and it was a sunday with no other location open, we had no choice but to make due. In order for the Jeep to be towed we had to deflate the tires to get the miniumum amount of strapping through. This made our already stressfull situation a lot more stressfull.kirk J.

I reserved this Uhaul from a different location, where the lady I spoke with was very helpful. I got to this location, and was me with a lady who had never rented a Uhaul trailer before- EVER. I took me 45 minutes of waiting for me to decide I better leave and pick up a friend (who was helping me move), while she finished the process. I returned a half an hour later, when I was told only the reservation forms had been completed, and I needed to provide my liscense, and wait a few more minutes- This turned in to an additional half an hour. Finally, a was able to leave, and move my property. When I returned the trailer (in the same condition in which it left in), a man came outside to help me unload it. It took over 20 minutes to get the trailer off of my hitch. When going inside to get my deposit back, I spoke with a different gentleman- It then took another 40 minutes for him to "Figure out how to do it on the computer"... Renting the actual trailer took longer than moving an entire house worth of furniture! It was a miserable way to start the day, and after moving all day, it was even a worse way to end it. *I honestly could have moved my stuff using 10 trips with my truck, faster than making 2 in the Uhaul- After waiting to get it, and waiting again to return it. **Also, the lady who made the initial reservation for me, told me that anyone who rents your equipment, is responsible in helping to make reservations, even if they don't have what you're looking for on site- She was the 5th Uhaul equipment rental location I'd spoken with on the phone, and the only one to offer.justin O.
They principle personel were nice enough and somewhat helpful, but the facility is not well equipped. They don't have the necessary accessories to complete or seal the deal or handle all the needs of people moving. They had none of the accessories for moving like blankets or boxes and none of the electrical attachments if a customer doesn't have all the trailer attachments for lighting that they need. My wife had to make two trips to Walmart to get the necessary attachments. It costs us roughly 1.5 hours. The only reason we stayed there was the fact that they had the 6x 12 trailer we needed and they were open to do business. I will say that they were courteous and helpful with information about where to find the necessary items we needed to utilize the trailer safely.leon M.
I am the Catering Director at Stetson University. I rented a truck on Friday because our box truck was unavailable. The processing took forever. I drove the truck to our location to load our catering items for an event we had on Saturday. When I came in Saturday morning, the truck was loaded, and...had a flat tire on the rear right side. Unfortunately, we had no other choice but to go and air up the tire. As soon as we finished airing up the flattened tire...air was spewing out...and there was a hole in the tire. Nervously, we drove to our catering destination and made it there. However, before we could leave, we had to ask our customer if they had an air compressor to air the tire up so that we could make it back to our location to empty the truck and return it. I feel that the truck should have been checked throughly before we rented it, but it was not. This could have caused some very serious injury driving like that.MARSHA G.

Rented from this facility and returned to same facility same day. Received email indicating that trailer was never returned. Spoke to a customer service rep and she verified with the rental location that indeed it was returned. Just recently received another email saying the same rental was never returned. The place we rented from only had 1 person who knew how to rent a truck out. She was not on location so we had to wait about 20 min. They must not rent a lot of trucks because she realy didn't know how to do it either. Than she rented us the wrong truck and didn't know how to refund the first truck. She had to call uhaul. She had no record of having the first truck in inventory. It took 2 hrs to rent a truck. Never will I rent a truck from there again or refer it to anyone.JIM C.

The pick-up spot was a gas station/fast food and very noisy. When I arrived they had to call someone in to handle my resveration, than another half hour wait for her to arrive. It was another half hour to process the paper work. My tow behind was not there but arrived as I was waiting. Than they told me to hook up and I left. Not 15 min. later I get a call to tell me to return the pull behind cause it was the wrong unit.That ment another hook up. The second day when I picked up another tow it was just as bad. That day it only took 3/4 hr. to leave. I will never rent from that place again. You need to find a new location.DOROTHY C.
