I rented a trailer in North Carolina 4 days to transport goods to Altoona,Pa. This rental location asks me for a destination and proceeds to put down (1) one day transport and unload. I GOT UP CHARGED FOR HIS INCOMPETENCE! ! !
GEORGE DWe were charged over double what I was estimated to owe at time of pick up without being informed. They had it put on a hold. When I brought the truck back it was earlier than my drop off time and I left it with more gas than was needed. I asked the lady working about the hold. She assured me as soon as they closed my contract my money would go back in my account minus my due payment. It is now the next day and I still don't have my money. My total owed was $149 and some change and they put a $313.00 hold on my account. Uhaul claims nothing is owed at pick up. You pay when rental is returned. Yet they took double what was owed . I'll never use this location again.
HEATHER WI had attempted to call multiple times to confirm my reservation. I was never able to make contact over the phone. I called the customer service line and they were not able to either. I did the online check in and had my fingers crossed. When I arrived at the gas station I went in not sure where to go and the woman behind the desk began to crudely demand information dispute me having already done it online. We made me do it a second time. She then told me she was going to charge me for 200 miles dispute me telling her in would not be using it for that many. She said she could charge me for more but was be in ng kind at 200. She then told me that she didn't have a tow dolly then proceeded to give me a small one as she was taking pictures of my license with her personal phone. She then told me to sweep out the truck when I brought it back and to make sure it was swept out. When I got to the truck before I even put the key in the door I took a video of the outside. It was terribly scratched up on every side. The front bumper had obviously been dented but there was a plastic cover making it appear from afar as if it were not damaged. When I opened the truck I had to fight to get the door up and ultimately had to get my brother to open it. I could not it kept getting stuck. The inside was filthy the floor was missing a screw and you could see through to the ground below the truck. One of the wooden rails on the right side pulled away from the side. When I opened the cab of the truck it had red clay all in the floorboards and floor in front of the center seat. There was a sign on the dash in the windshield saying best or lowest price. Something to that nature. I folded it up and started the truck. It sounded like it was definitely on its last leg. The transmission struggled to shift and it jerked. I attempted to call to let them know multiple times. I was unable to make contact. I was not comfortable going back to the store so my husband took the key back in. This time there was a man who told him he just needed the key. When my husband asked about the miles we didn't use the man said he had nothing to do with it that U-Haul the company did that........ He was lost because he was turning the U-Haul back into who we knew as the U-Haul representative. He then asked if he was going to go check the miles and the man only went and looked after the fourth time he had asked. He then printed out a paper that had the miles on JT and handed JT to my husband stating they U-Haul would refund it. We had a very stressful, challenging, non professional, and upsetting experience with this U-Haul vender. We will not be going back to this location.

DAVID SMan don't let the 35.99 or 45.99 mess you up cause it gonna cost you lot more then that cost me $145 and didn't even go 20 miles and also only had for about 4 hrs
JAMES MI was charged $48 on the emailed receipt for Missing/ Damaged? I was told when I turned the truck in that everything was complete. What is the reason for the additional charge? VERY UNACCEPTABLE!
JEFFERY PWe were not impressed by the personnel at this location. They were not very friendly and they were very hard to understand. Didn't have good customer service or communication skills. I wouldn't use this location again.
TODD BI was told by U-Haul to drop the trailer off at this location and when I dropped it off, the person at that U-Haul location was very rude to me and also told me that he would make sure I had an extra charge put on my card for dropping it there
CYNTHIA MThe process was slow and ultimately controlled by a gentleman that was more interested in taking a long crap in the women's restroom than running a professional business. Despite having a reservation and providing my license before arrival, the wait was long and the whole process was unorganized. In the end, the operator was rude and condescending. This is not what I've gone to expect from U-Haul. I will never return to this location and I'll be sure to share my experience with others.

FLOYD BStorage area was not clean when we picked up the truck. Cup holders on interior were dirty as well as the floor and floor mats. But we were required to sweep out the back to avoid a $25 charge.

James WMy pickup was scheduled 2 weeks prior and they didn’t have the equipment at the location. Then when I drove 20 miles out of the way I was unable to pick it up due to there “system being down” then I was overcharged—-and still waiting for a refund. Please contact me at 19102094819
Benjamin FTrailer marker lights weren't functioning, only brake lights. So if it got dark, had to drive with flashers on. When it was brought up before leaving the lot the attendant said it was fine. I disagree, but I had no other option and I needed the trailer that afternoon.

Bret WBetter effiency. Not having there children at the location. Was a husband and wife team. That’s great, but don’t have the child with the person serving a me while the husband is doing nothing and watching while child is grabbing my drivers license off the counter etc…
peter susing the app was terrible. I had to wait on uhaul to contact two people to verify my identity for some reason even though I haven't had any trouble renting one in the past. I had to contact customer support to add pictures of the vehicle before I left with it. When I attempted to take the pictures in the app, it would not allow me to attach them and completed my check in without updated pictures. The app is slow and not really user friendly. Truck was older and beat up pretty good. There are cigarette ashes still in the ashtray. Check engine light was on the whole time. The seal on the dolly had been busted and there were no furniture pads. Always make sure you take plenty of pictures before leaving with the vehicle to avoid unnecessary charges!
Cody MMy original reservation was made with Kenneth Morrison Jr. at Glen Alpine Storage. When I arrived the "Open" sign was on but the front door was locked and there were no U-Haul Trucks on site. I called Kenneth and he informed me that my reservation was switched to Nebo Truck Stop. I went to Nebo Truck Stop and met Patel. He informed me that I now have a reservation at Nebo Truck Stop. It was very difficult to understand Patel and I finally was able to complete the rental process. I went outside and saw the truck and it was in very poor condition. The truck did not run very well and I was surprised the truck made it through our 79 mile rental journey without breaking down. The engine light was on and I pointed that out to Patel but he said drive it you will be fine. The truck got 7.58 miles to the gallon because of its condition. Overall this was a very poor experience.

Gene RI rented a trailer, picked it up at 3:15 pm on 5.29.23. I dropped the trailer back off within a few hours to the same location on 5.29.23. I’ve been billed an additional $300 for the trailer being in another state. I will not rent, nor recommend anyone to rent anything from the location @ 901 E. MT Vernon St. Somerset, KY.
Shawnda DThe trailer was a 1991. And it leaned to one side. The trailer was on it axel on one side meaning. Very poor maintenence. And that was the best looking one on the lot at the time. And inside had not been swept out either. Door was very hard to open and close. And they knew we were traveling f4om NC to ME with it. Very disappointed in uhaul, won't rent from uhaul again.
