I am rating ONLY the Ace Hardware - not UHaul. The charges from Uhaul need to be adjusted because I did not get my truck on time and am being charged for gas, even though I was incredibly inconvenienced!!!! Disappointed

It was a seamless reservation, pick up, and drop off process, and a well-maintained van.

I opted for mobile check in and check out to reduce my time inside the store. Mobile check out did not work as the picture I took of the odometer and gas readings would not upload. Everything else was great with the rental other than this frustration of having to go in the store and wait while an employee inspected the van.

You're online reservation and pickup process is ridiculous Last possible portion of getting the truck (confirming number on bumper to Site reloaded staring over the process Then as I'm at the counter you'redoing a personal responsibility check which one was to my employer who isn't working from the office these days due you yes pandemic nor would they on a Sunday. But you also called my mother who was in the middle of leading the worship team at church 3 times Since I couldn't confirm these 3 references the uhaul customer (won't say service) then asked For 2 more people to call . I'm 40 years old and have rented trucks from you in the past and. Ever have I had to provide such a reference check When I couldn't do the 2, the uhaul phone person asked for a copy of my lease and my passport info Now, why the hell would I have either of those documents at the uhual truck pick up location /store. Do you frequently keep these on your person at all then for a $20 truck rental being used for 11 miles total and returned in 90 minutes Nor did any of this information. Was sought during the reservation process or the hours between reso or pick up. Nor did your website pick up process state you would be calling references immediately and rents was dependent on people answering their phones. This info would have me prepared with documents orinform people to Expect a call The woman on the phone the. Said she couldn't do anything for me and the rental wouldNt be possible Stupid I cancelled the rental and immediately rented the same exact truck from the ace employee where I wasted 45 minutes trying to figure out what went wrong eith your website process and idiotic reference checks at the time of pick up. Guess what ...I didn't have to provide any phone numbers, lease documents, or a blood sample This experience was the worst example of customer service and “easy check-in/pick-up” process I've seen in years. Absolutely will look at any and all alternatives to Uhaul in the future even if at a higher rate. And unfortunately I tend to share my thoughts and experiences with anyone who can hear read or communicate telepathically when such terrible services are rendered

While ALL of the employees at the Ace Hardware are extremely friendly and helpful, I was disappointed that U-Haul doesn't include a dolly in the rental of vans/trucks and you have to pay extra for it. It was also very disappointing that their vans don't have ramp compatability.

Love the folks at this location in New Albany, Ohio. They are easy to deal with and let's you know up front about possible cost. Do not particularly like the way U Haul Bill's as it can be CONFUSING! The little four ' 11" sweetheart that took care of me was FANTASTIC. SHE starred my day with a smile. Will be using this location for a THIRD time in a couple weeks. The mileage rate is ridiculously high. A $19.99 daily rental turned into over $71.00, plus $11.00 in gas. Either decrease the mileage rate, or allow "X" miles free. I won't say I was surprised because I knew the mileage fee, but it just seems unreasonable high for a cargo van.

The location was perfect for me. It was quick and easy to reserve the van as well as to check in/out. The van was very clean, not many miles and easy to drive. It worked out perfectly to move furniture.

Store workers very rude. Had an issue with billing Uhaul charged me $170 to my card and the receipt for the trip wasn't only $125 still missing money. This place is very unprofessional and would never use again. Advise anyone I know to never go here!!!!!

The places that have automated keyboxes are more convenient than those that you have to go inside and get someone to find the key for you. This is one where you have to jump through all the hoops in the app, then go inside and get the key. Not a huge deal, but keyboxes streamline things a little.

I would not recommend this location to see it Uhaul rental. First, when I picked up the vehicle, there was no one in the store that knew how to rent. I had to wait for some one to arrive at the store to issue me the rental Secondly, I returned the van on Sunday night. This location has no way for me to leave the keys for the vehicle so I have to bring the keys back on Monday morning and get charged an extra day simply because they can't get their business and together unless that is the plan to cheat customers. No more Uhaul or Ace Hardware for me.

I would like to have been advised that the rear-view mirror has rear-view camera. I thought the van didn't have a camera due to no screen and relied solely on side mirrors. I realized the camera was in the mirror only once I returned it. Otherwise, a good experience.

Have the owner not park his F150 truck directly behind the Uhaul vehicles. It makes it difficult to back the vehicles without ramming his vehicle.

Contacted and reserved for 24 hours (specifically requested) upon pick-up was advised that I could only keep the Uhaul Van until close of business - which was 8pm. Advised that was their policy and someone else had it reserved for the next day. However it was reserved on my credit card which I called in advance. Service was at best a 3/4 - very disappointing and it but me in a huge bind and I was unable to fully complete my task. And the service providers could careless. I will not be recommending this location in the future. They did not suggest any additional accommodations or make any recommendations - actually stated I could reserve again if not completed. A horrible experience!

I visited Ace Hardware on June 26 to reserve a van for June 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.I received an email saying everything was fine. But, when I showed up at 9 a.m. today (the 29th of June) to pick up the van, I was told there was no record of my renting a van despite the fact that I had received an email saying I had and there was no problem. The fellow at Ace at first said he had no vans available for rent, but later rented me one that wasn't due to be picked up until later in the day. I used the van for 4 hours and returned it, as well as the email I had received that I had made a reservation. I never received an explanation of what we wrong, why I was not in the system despite receiving an email saying I was and there was no problem with my reservation. I thought the least Ace could do was explain what happened and maybe give me a break on the rental fee. Neither happened and I paid $45 for the van. I really didn't appreciate the hassle. Could you figure out what happened? .

I have to make two trips to this facility to return a truck for something as silly as not having a key drop at this business. Work all day and the have to come back the next morning to drop the key off. Not acceptable.
