Nothing. The agent was very courteous and professional, the facility and rental truck were clean and orderly. I have had difficulty with the UHaul app, but was able to turn in the truck after hours without the app and with no difficulty. This experience was infinitely better than the gun shop in Winsted. I'm pleased to be able to rent a truck without being exposed to an arsenal of weapons.

In the time I rented a storage unit from u-haul self storage, I felt that my belongings were safe and I was able to get in and out of the facility with ease. I would highly recommend this facility!

The person at the counter - Gina? I can't remember her name, but she was absolutely fantastic and clear, and we left feeling so happy we used UHaul. Unfortunately, the truck had some leftover fried mushrooms in the back seat, so it lead us to believe it could be cleaner. All and all though, it was a pleasant experience with the company, and we'll be using the New Hartford location again soon to finish the move. Thank you!

The vehicle broke down 3 times, once in the middle of an intersection! Accelerator lurched on and off, oil light came on, power steering died and then the truck stopped. We were unable to get the work done that we hired the truck for.

This truck has very loose steering and was hard to maintain control. It shouldn’t be on the road. I called them and asked them to call me back about it and they never did.

The equipement I ordered (dolly and blankets) were not available at pick up. It would be nice when you click online for additional items that you actually state if they are available so that people can make alternative plans.

Highly recommend New Hartford Self Storage. I stored my RV there and was very pleased. The facility is safe and secured, also heated! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, especially Willy. I will definitely be back.

The truck was old and not well maintained. It was raining the dsy of my move and the driver’s side windshield wiper kept coming off, and continued to do so after stopping to fix it. Driving in the rain with an inferior windshield wiper was stressful, dangerous and most likely the illegal. Also one of the front headlights was out. All in all a very unpleasant experience.

This was my second time renting from this facility and though the check in was pleasant and helpful, the truck had no working air conditioning . Super hot, muggy day to move and the lack of AC was very unfortunate!

Since self-check-in requires using the app, locations with weak cell phone signals would be worth noting and providing an alternative method for self-check-in would improve the customer experience. Uploading pictures over a weak cell network is slow and perhaps that is the reason that my seemingly fine pictures were not accepted by the app even after multiple attempts with different pictures.

Return system could be a bit smoother for after hours return. I realize that proof of return is necessary. Putting in mileage on website was also silly. Wanted to add mileage, but had 0.0 & difficult to get correct input onto the display. A little too complicated for this old coot (74 Yeats old). Not greatly tech savy.

I've been very happy with over-winter storage for my car at New Hartford Self Storage. The storage area itself is large, tidy, seemingly secure, and seemingly without any "wildlife" present. A staff member is there to help renters navigate their vehicles safely to the proper places. The office team is friendly and helpful. Communications from the facility (e.g., on billing, move-out, etc.) are clear and timely. I think it's a good value (price vs what you get).

I have used multiple storage lockers over the course of my moves. I moved my locker from LifeStorage in New Britain CT to New Hartford Storage when I moved to New Hartford for closeness/convenience in accessing. The New Hartford facility always had a lot of dirt on the floors and never appeared to be clean. Even my locker had a lot of dirt in it on leaving (possibly the fact that it didn't have a closed ceiling?). The lighting was always very dim. The office hours seemed shortened during the week, and minimal on the weekends. I would only recommend the facility for short term needs in that location.

The administration staff and rental policies are very professional and the communication is excellent. The facility is clean, secure and maintained at a good temperature to keep stored items in good condition. The units are inside a building, which provides a controlled environment and 24-hour access to the rental units. I definitely recommend this facility.

This facility is the best. Price is good, is easy to get into and out of, staff are wonderful and very helpful. This is was the 3rd or 4th year I have used New Hartford Self Storage for wintering my small camp trailer and will be back this fall.

Outside of having my reservation changed on me to a new location, I was told over the phone I’d be able to pick up Sunday, which I initially scheduled. The rep at the New Hartford location called me at 1:30 pm on Saturday and told me I had to pick the truck up in an hour or not at all. This was extremely frustrating since I was out of state, and she was rude/defensive right from the start despite my being polite and asking for more detail. I asked if my parents could pick the truck up, which she allowed, but she reiterated that they absolutely had to be there by 230 which was her end of day. For some reason she also didn’t have any information about my reservation and how much I paid for it ahead of time. She was unable to tell me if I would be charged extra, and could only confirm that I wouldn’t when my father went to pick up the truck. Based on several changes to my reservation including the date and short notice, and the poor customer service, we won’t be using Uhaul in the future. Additional note: there was a loud whining sound whenever we turned on and drove the truck. It obviously needed a new fan belt and for some reason hadn’t been serviced.

Prices were reasonable. The recent price increase motivated me to finaly get rid of the few items remaining. I would recommend this unit if the rate increase is compairable to other similar facilities. For me, the price iincrease was enough to leave.

One of their employees smokes inside the building we found a dirty hat in the truck and a empty pack of cigarettes in the U-Haul it made weird noises
