This truck has very loose steering and was hard to maintain control. It shouldn’t be on the road. I called them and asked them to call me back about it and they never did.

Denise BThe truck was old and not well maintained. It was raining the dsy of my move and the driver’s side windshield wiper kept coming off, and continued to do so after stopping to fix it. Driving in the rain with an inferior windshield wiper was stressful, dangerous and most likely the illegal. Also one of the front headlights was out. All in all a very unpleasant experience.

Karyn BSince self-check-in requires using the app, locations with weak cell phone signals would be worth noting and providing an alternative method for self-check-in would improve the customer experience. Uploading pictures over a weak cell network is slow and perhaps that is the reason that my seemingly fine pictures were not accepted by the app even after multiple attempts with different pictures.

Jim CReturn system could be a bit smoother for after hours return. I realize that proof of return is necessary. Putting in mileage on website was also silly. Wanted to add mileage, but had 0.0 & difficult to get correct input onto the display. A little too complicated for this old coot (74 Yeats old). Not greatly tech savy.

John DOutside of having my reservation changed on me to a new location, I was told over the phone I’d be able to pick up Sunday, which I initially scheduled. The rep at the New Hartford location called me at 1:30 pm on Saturday and told me I had to pick the truck up in an hour or not at all. This was extremely frustrating since I was out of state, and she was rude/defensive right from the start despite my being polite and asking for more detail. I asked if my parents could pick the truck up, which she allowed, but she reiterated that they absolutely had to be there by 230 which was her end of day. For some reason she also didn’t have any information about my reservation and how much I paid for it ahead of time. She was unable to tell me if I would be charged extra, and could only confirm that I wouldn’t when my father went to pick up the truck. Based on several changes to my reservation including the date and short notice, and the poor customer service, we won’t be using Uhaul in the future. Additional note: there was a loud whining sound whenever we turned on and drove the truck. It obviously needed a new fan belt and for some reason hadn’t been serviced.
