Although personnel was very helpful, the location is very uninviting and feels unsafe. I would have driven much longer to a different one if I knew how it was.

Dirty place. several loiterers standing around presumably looking for work. counter help was capable but hard to understand (thick accent plus a shield in front of the counter). dolly reserved and they didn't have - reserved 24 moving blankets they only had 12 and I was one of the first to rent that day. when I got to the truck the cab smelled of cigarette smoke but I had to endure against a tight schedule with the move. overall not up to the standards I have come to expect from Uhaul.

The area seems run down. People drinking in the parking lot, broken bottles everywhere. Very sketchy area. Also the truck side mirrors were not adjustable so I couldn’t see when I was turning or changing lanes. Dangerous.

I arrived to pick the truck up; they would not rent for one way; I had to go to a location in Hemphill, 15 minutes away; i se that you are not even aware of this; I guess is not their fault since I see you are still asking about this one as the pick up loacation; shame in you!

The drop off location tried to scam me. I had no instructions on how to complete drop off or the protocols and the quick mart on 1901 Hemphill street called me twice in two days asking for my card information so they could refund me my deposit. I called the original store and they told me that there was a 1-3 day hold but as long as it was returned I would get my money with no information needed. Very scary stuff the drop off location was on the wrong side of town and I felt very unsafe.

8 miles of gas and the previous renter used the cup holders as an ashtray. I had to spend the first hour cleaning it out and and wiping everything down.

I was charged for gas that I was told that I would not be ; due to picking it up on empty and , I was told to fill it up the one quarter and I filled it up more than that. I filled it up half way and was over charged $57 for what I already paid for And would like to talk to corporate due to my complaints for over pricing and or lying about doing so. Thank you. I parked the truck, went inside, and they asked for the key, and said thank you, bye. No one checked the mileage on the truck, no one checked the truck for damage, no one checked the gas gauge. Checking these things protects me as well as U-Haul so I took my own video/photo evidence of these things to protect myself again false claims. This location felt sketchy and not professional.

This is the worst service I have used in my entire life , I wouldn’t dare this even in the enemy of human kind , it’s is a huge scam , they make you pay a huge amount and a lil extra , saying u used extra miles while google map shows same amount of miles . And then to your bad surprise three days later they charge you again for fuel , and also services of filling the fuel to that danm old truck even after you paying them a dollar for a mile . Isn’t that dollar for a mile supposed to cover fuel , if I’m paying 140 bucks for the truck and 68 miles then fuel for 68 miles should be covered , they took 170 for fuel and extra miles then they had the audacity to take 97 dollars from my account again because they had to refuel , why on earth do you have to refuel a truck 2 times ? After using once . For shame u haul for shame . My whole family has boycotted this scam company for the end of times . Suck an egg u haul

First of all, the young lady that helped me was very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is rough! When you pull in you are surrounded by day laborers wanting to be hired and homeless individuals hanging around. The ramp on the truck was broken, but I could still use it some.

Looked like the truck was not washed or cleaned as there was mud inside the drivers door as well as severe bug remains on the windshield. The lady who rented the truck as well as the online reservation were okay. The problem occurred when i tried to return the vehicle. I was there promptly at 14:30 as i was instructed. The agent was in the rest room and the doors were locked. When i was finally let in, the agent stayed on his phone and seemed less than interested in my concerns. Especially when i disputed the fact he was trying to charge me for two days Rental as well as two days of Safemove, along with fees etc. I reserved the truck on one card, but when i went to pay for the truck, i asked for the original card not to be charged, and to charge my debit card. Not only was i over charged, but it was to the original card which will now create late fees on an automatic withdrawal from that card. Another concern is that for each time i have used this location, there have been what appear to be either homeless individuals loitering in the lot or work crews waiting on the property in hopes of getting a day job. Kind of a sketchy location. Hopefully i will not have any extra charges for them not charging the correct card. Thank you for your time.

The vehicle I rented is in worest condition. No shock observers and too much noisy inside. Only good part is the associate who helped me during the booking at this location is helpful.

The vehicle was dirty when I picked it up, with debris in the bed and spilled liquid in the cupholder. The vehicle had half a tank of gas when I picked it up. I used a quarter of a tank. I couldn't get the vehicle back by my scheduled pick-up time if I gassed it back up, so I took it back without refilling it to half a tank. The man who checked me out estimated that I would be charged under $50 if I didn't gas it back up. I was charged $200 for gas by U-haul. I was also charged for 90 miles distance when I only drove around 55 miles. I'll be using movers in the future.

I turned my truck in on 11/14/2022 around 2:30-2:45. However I got a document that the truck with a few showing the truck was not returned until 11/15/2022. This is inaccurate and highly unprofessional because I returned it on 11/14 and I will not be paying this fee.

My granddaughter and I we’re approach at 730 pm in a dark parking lot. Three masked (Covid) black men begging for money or food. Extremely scary to us. I’m glad I conceal and carry. It was after hours and the gentleman on the phone in the morning was very helpful. I would never use that drop off location again.

The two guys who hooked up the trailer did not care. They did not check the lights on the trailer. I had to drive the trailer 500 miles across Texas with no runner lights with the flashers on. the crew was very careless and in a hurry to get rid of me.

This location was one with high soliciting of all kinds(sex)and was ran down. The young lady who I rented the U-Haul from in the beginning was helpful, but when I return the vehicle back, it was on the 3/4 notch where I was supposed to return it back to but it wasn’t on there to her liking speaking about the gas hand, so in order for me not to be charged an additional day fee I had to go and put additional money in it to get it over to gas line mark. This was the worst experience I could’ve ever imagined it would be with using U-Haul for the first time, it is highly unlikely that I will use U-Haul again, or even recommend it to other family members especially this location.

very confusing and lack of safety in the area. returned truck at exactly 1/4 of a tank (that same amount it had in it when i picked it up) and was charged for 6 gallons of gas as well as a fuel fee that totaled to almost $60. all in all very bad experience with this location.

The store that purchase a U-Haul friend did a really good job. He didn’t do anything wrong he just wasn’t very knowledgeable on where I was dropping it off and didn’t let me know that they would be closed when I tried to drop it off. I paid 140 something dollars for a one-way 52 miles and the truck was very hard to drive it was not maintained whatsoever. Then when I got to my destination we went a little over the miles because I had to take it up to the place to return it and then go all the way back to my house then return it the next day and wait till they opened at 10 so that took some of the miles I put gas in So all the sudden I get a credit card charge for 94 something dollars extra for going over the mileage and not having the gas exactly where it needed to go because the place was closed. I dropped it off at East Fork and 80 and they had no drop off box everything was completely caged. I was very upset about that and that’s why I was not gonna go get gas again but I had no idea they were going to charge me that much. Overall experience because of the place I dropped it off very very upset. They need to have a way that you can drop it off and if they did have a way to drop it off I called the guy at the store I purchased it for him and he had no clue And he couldn’t help me. So overall I spent a good $250 just for a one-way U-Haul I should’ve just paid a moving company and would’ve spent the same amount of money and not done any of the work. The only reason I’m telling you this is not to complain or write a bad review, but for you to better your establishments of where you drop off and take them. I feel I was really taken by the money and they had my credit card on file so instead of discussing with me what they were going to charge me they just charged it. Very dissatisfied with the outcome. I was just helping my kids pay for it to get her to my house I had no clue I was gonna be paying that much money just for a one-way U-Haul.

This location was completely unprepared for my reservation. It took over 25 minutes for the entire check in process. The employee did not even know how to open the back of the truck. The location was not a safety area inside and out, I was ask by more than 5 different strangers if I needed a worker or could give them money. At one point one of the men began yelling at me; I was very scared even to be in the store. As a woman alone picking up the truck, I believe UHAUL should do a better job to keep its clients safe.

Very rude service, we got the haul half way to E and they wanted us to bring it back with an full tank. The lady was very rude telling me I am trying to scam her even though I had my card on file. The manger talked to me over a face time call very rudely. She threw the keys at me and told me to GO FILL IT UP. I will be making a report to the police. They are very racist people!!!

I get charged an additional 100.00 when i brought the van back the same day , they charged me for 2 dollies which i only had 1 , & i filled the tank back up to where it was supposed to be and they charged me additional for that ! i am not paying that 100.00 charge . i paid my 74.XX that was owed .
