The store was closed when I was dropping the trailer off, so I had to do it online which charges me $20 because it's â€œoutside office hours.â€ How is it my fault that the business was closed at 1200 on a Friday for thanksgiving that is a week away? The man who rented me the uhual was unpleasant when I called and told him the door had messed up he acted like he didn't care and wasn't his problem told me to drop the truck off and a sweeper are location but failed to ever mention that if I did that I would have been charged almost 280$ extra for a wrong location drop then proceeded to tell me not to bring it to him cause he couldn't fix it and it was getting close to him being offCoty W.

The only issue I've had in the 2 rentals I've purchased in the last 2 weeks is the cell service and ability to complete transaction quickly online. Some of that is on us, the customer, and our cell service but if you had a "guest" wi-fi to accommodate 24/7 use...that would be a great add on. Other than that, everything was great. Will continue to use and support U-HaulGene R.

Do not use these people. They are scam artists. They charged us a fuel charge even after we topped off the truck to where it was originally. Let's do the math: A 10ft Uhaul gets 12m/gallon. I had up to 80m and did not go over. Our trip was actually 78.5m. That's about 6.5 gallons. We stopped at the Chevron down the street(1.7miles away from drop off). We put $25 in at $4.30. That's about 5.8 gallons. The needle was on 15/16 just like when we got it, albeit a little short. When we pulled up, the guy came opened the back inspected it and we kept asking are you sure everything is good. He just kept saying, "We got your card, we got your card." I made the mistake of only taking a picture of the mileage and not the gas. No less than 10 minutes later, I got my receipt with a $36 charge on it. He claims that the tank was registering below 3/4. How is that possible? I have the receipt from getting the gas and we only drove 1.7m to the location. I REPEAT, THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! ALSO, REMEMBER TO ALWAYS TAKE PICTURES!George S.

The lady that I talked to over the phone was very nice , but the gentleman that was there for the pick up and return was kind of rude and abrupt , he also over charged on the miles and when my Grandson brought it to his attention he said it would be refunded to my card , which it was. Worst U-Haul experience EVER! Picked up the truck and after arriving home after driving only a few miles noticed it had a screw in the left front tire and the tire was badly worn on the outer edge from a serious misalignment of the front end (classic U-Haul quality.) I called the place I had just picked it up from and they told me they had no other trucks and to call a road service â€“ thanks, right? I plugged the tire myself and decided to put the front worn tire on the back hoping it wouldn't shake as bad. When I removed the outer rear tire, the inner rear wheel tipped over and sheared the valve stem extension off. I had to load the filthy tire into my car and pay over $27 to have the valve stem replaced. I decided to check the air pressure in the other tires and found one tire had about 45 psi while none of the others had more than 64 psi â€“ the tires say inflate to 80 psi. Low air pressure in decreased fuel economy. Quality inspections, doesn't appear that way? Over 4 hours after picking up the truck and being exhausted I opened up the ramp to start loading boxes. When I did, I found trash, glass, mud, and pine straw on the ramp. Real nice. Driving the truck was not a pleasure â€“ the front end rattled me to death, and you couldn't even hear the radio over the wind noise. The gas gauge reacts very slowly to fuel. I initially put $90 of gas into it and when I went to return it the gauge was slightly below where it was when I picked it up. I put the pump in the tank and was watching the gauge. After almost another $45 it came up to where it was initially but after driving it a mile a so it shot way letting me know I put way more fuel in there then I should have. Penske is double the cost, but they are cleaner, safer, and don't rattle you senseless. These trucks are dangerous and shouldn't be on the road with the front end that much out of alignment! Really horrible experience with U-Haul.Sharon B.
