I went at 7:45 to pick up my van for a rental it took over an hour to for the process to finish. I was so annoyed. I had to be somewhere at a certain point moving things and we were late. We’re nonprofit organization and time is of the essence when we have our events

First, I want to start off by saying that my original location was changed the day before pick up with a further location pick up spot that was 16 miles away . The original time was 8:00am pick up. On the day of pick up, I get a text that the new time is 9am pick up. The gentleman was friendly at the location pick up but because it is a gas station he was interrupted a few times with customers. I was disappointed with U-haul because they didn't have all the equipment that I ordered. I order the furniture and refrigerator dolly 3 weeks to a month in advance and on the day of pick up, I received a text from U-haul that some of my equipment (furniture dolly) wasn't available. So disappointing. I called U-haul and waited a long while before someone answered the phone. They were really not that helpful and basically just told me to have the gentlemen remove the dolly from my order, but that was/is a VERY important item when you're moving. The shop had a little difficulty opening the key box outside but after several attempts and some time, it finally opened. I was there for about 45 min to an hour. This was not a good experience for me.
Amina WThe attendant could barely speak English and I had to relay information to another party on the phone. Vehicle had issues with loss of power while climbing a hill with speed reduced to 30 mph. On the final 30 miles vehicle engine was making a terrible noise. The site made good by discounting the remaining cost for gas and miles. Overall good experience but not the desired outcome. I should have been able to drop off at any U Haul location

Donald GThe lady didn’t know what she was doing. I had to take her tablet and check out myself after she took an hour trying to figure it out. Then she stopped to help other customers during that time even though i was there first. She made us extremely late for the movers who had to still get paid for their time regardless if we were there. Also the uhaul truck was given to me at below a quarter of a tank of gas but we were still overcharged for gas. This experience was completely atrocious.

Jose VThe gas station cashier had a difficult time getting through the pick up process, but things went a little smoother when the u-haul agent stepped in to help. I did also ask at least 3 times about the dolly that I had rended, however I never got one. The process was overall very fractured, though the u-haul agent did help the process along better than if he weren’t there.

RICHARD GThe vehicle was clean overall. However, I notices a dried spill under the center console that had not been cleaned prior to my use. The vehicle overall was fine and well maintained as it ran well and is newer model with screen, etc. which I really appreciated. I will return to rent a truck again from here.

MAURICIO AVery happy with the customer service, the mobile pick up was a little glitchy when attempting to return the truck back. I was called in the AM To confirm that I did return the truck (which I thought would have been communicated with uhaul from the employee working there.) but overall really good experience.

ERIC PSo many bad things to report. The truck was picked up from the Mobil gas station I initially asked for the $19.99 per day smaller truck but was told there were none available at the Agoura location so they sent me over to the mobile gas station which is actually less than 2 miles away from the Chatsworth U-Haul center which has many more trucks and had the truck that I asked for. Why didn’t they send me to the main Chatsworth U-Haul station which had the truck that I asked for instead of sending me to the mobile station where I had to rent a larger truck that was 3999 a day and higher mileage. I also asked that I have a furniture dolly and six blankets when I picked up the truck the truck was not sanitize per Covid guidelines thank goodness I have Lysol spray and hand sanitizer which I sterilize the wheel myself. There were no blankets and there was no dollies in the truck as requested and paid for. When I inquired about the dollies and the blankets I was towed to go to the Chatsworth location of U-Haul which was like I said less than 2 miles away. The Chatsworth location did not have the additional equipment that I requested so they sent me to the Northridge location. When I arrived at the Northridge location they were able to supply me with the additional quit equipment but that cost me time on a Friday evening and gas. U-Haul charge me $133 for the truck which had additional mileage on it that shouldn’t have had because I had to travel to two extra U-Haul spaces in order to receive the additional equipment that I originally ordered. There was no credit given for the additional mileage or the inconvenience that I endured on a Friday evening in Los Angeles
Rebecca FWhen I came back I refilled the EXACTLY to the 1/4 line where it was when I picked it up. The picture of where the gauge is shown is completely inaccurate. I'm very unhappy that I was charged for the fuel and the fuel refill service and will be contesting.
JAMES HFirst let me say I took the truck an extra day I only made a contract for one day. The second day early morning the owner called and requested if I can return the truck by 1 p.m. because he has a client that needs it. I told him I am not sure but I will do everything to be there at 1,00pm. He then stated he just passed my house and saw that the truck door was open and there is no items inside so I'm not using it and he can come and pick it up personally. I asked him if he is spying on me, I then hung up.

Selenia IPerson was CLUELESS as how to execute the return. Was not accommodating. Did not have computer skills. Kept saying computer was slow...excuses,,,,did not want to help. Always avoiding so she does NO WORK. Made our return a NIGHTMARE. So we did finally have to do it on our own.

Aaron AThe location has no drop-box for keys. The location is dangerous after hours. I was there at 1AM to return truck and was harassed by a man that claimed to work there. The location was closed. After that, the LAPD showed up and thought I was breaking into the location. I was told to lock the keys in the glove box. The officer was friendly but concerned. I didn’t know how dangerous the homeless population is in that area. I feel the need to bring this up because I thought this location was supposed to be safe. Thank you.
Edward VI picked up the truck at a Mobile gas station. I returned the truck and parked it in a spot different than the spot I picked it up in. The spot I parked it was similar, but just on the other side of the small lot. The person working at Mobile insisted that I move it (it wasn't blocking anything) and when I refused threw the key back at me and told me he was not accepting the truck. I left the key on the counter.
julien aThe attendant was alone and slow in the process of checking out the truck. All customers for the Mini Mart were addressed between he checking out the truck. Upon return, I filled the tank with gas and while my wife was clearing out our stuff from the truck I went to close out. The attendant wouldnt start the return process until the truck was parked on the other side of the lot. He also gave me a hard time about the gas tank as the I took it with just under 1/2 a tank, which is where I brought it back, but the receipt had a big circle around the 1/2 mark on the page. I told him it was just under 1/2 when I took it and if I only traveled 10 miles and put in 5 gallons there should be more than what I took the truck with. He stopped arguing with that statement but was short and cold with me overall.
Rami KThis whole experience was the worst rental experience I have ever had with your company and I doubt I’ll return because of it. There should be plenty of customer notes and recorded calls from each time I called in. Not going over it again.
Kat LMy reservation was changed 4 times, to different locations because of availability. I would work on verifying truck is available before allowing customer to book the reservation and begin making travel plans.

Kacee CIm waiting to here back from a someone/ supervisor. I was charged at this location without being told how much & also, over charged from what I was Told. He said I don't know call them. It was hard to understand him & he did not know what he was doing! It took a long time to get the truck. He also charged me for insurance without asking me! I have rented a lot from Y'all over the years but, this was bad!!
HOLLY MInside the truck when I picked it up was dirty and I took pictures. when I drop off the car they charged me $25 for cleaning. This is bullshit.

roldan GFirst truck the fuel line was disconnected and gas went all over the ground. Good thing we decided to gas up at the pick up location and discovered it quickly. We were able to take another truck without too much delay, but it could have been a big problem.

Paul MWas supposed to be ready without going to the office, took 15 minutes to find the keys, wrote my info and mileage on a piece of cardboard ripped off of a box, didn't inspect the van for any damage, van smelled like smoke, then called my alternate number and spoke to my wife telling her that technically the van was stolen because they neglected to copy my credit card info. If I wasn't even supposed to check in why did they even need the CC number. The van was paid in advance through the web. I will never use this place again.
