Harvey SMy original reservation was in Heyburn, ID. I was not told I would have to travel over an hour, to Gooding, to pick it up. Then go to Burley, ID to get the car dolly.
shawn HTrailer had a damaged wheel well in the drives side that had someone's attempt at repairing the aluminum. This was clearly older damage and I couldn't submit a picture when renting. There was beer bottle caps, broken zip ties, and plastic wrapper left inside the unit. We also had reserved moving blankets that were not available.

Leslie SDisappointed to find out that U Haul feels it is not necessary to fulfill their reservations. Even when ordering a month in advance I had to pick up my rental 220 miles away because the equipment was not there. Found out that U Haul tells their agents to put the equipment on the road despite having a reservation for it. Also disappointed that U Haul does not assist in hooking up the car trailer to the truck. I would only use U Haul as a last resort.

cody wU-haul called and told us (2 days before moving) that we had to drive to another location to pick one up. Instead, I called the local u-haul and they actually had one for us. I ended up calling back to let them know we didn't need to drive out of town. Overall it worked out well. So just because you reserve a vehicle more than a month in advance, it doesn't mean they will save a vehicle for you. Very frustrating.
Gail PWhen asked to explain a billing item, was given an unfriendly "I just take the truck in." Not helpful, or informed or wishing to be helpful they lost this new neighbors business. I'll drive to Twin.
Yvonne DWe picked up the truck in Gooding on very short notice after we were told that no truck was available in Hailey, the location we had booked. Nonetheless, the truck and the location personnel were ready--very professional.
John TBe sure to complete your application and payment on line, otherwise, if you rent a truck inside the store you might find it takes most of an hour to get a truck, and after all of that, it still might not be right and one has to start all over and do it again. My viewpoint is from two experiences and from watching other customers. The staff is nice and desires to do right. When I attempted to adjust the drop-off site at the time of rental at the store and with customer service, I found that couldn't be done, and that I had to call scheduling to do that. It was a Sunday morning while on the road when I called to do just that. A man answered and I told him of my reservation difficulties and he repeatedly apologized about that. I suggested U-Haul help the store with training. He said he only works this job one day a week, Sunday, and frankly didn't care about that. I believed him. It also turned out the drop-off site he scheduled for me couldn't accept the truck.
