Trailer had a bad 4 wire pulg for the lights, clearance lights had a short that caused them to flicker. Went to another uhaul dealer to get the plug lights fixed.Joseph P.

Technically you can get around the building but the tolerances for my 30' rv were literally less than 2" when considering other rental trucks parked to the side WARNING! Extremely narrow drivewith no room to turn around except to back out on a bust highway.William K.
I got an old truck that shouldn't even be on the road....no cruse control? How do you rent cross country trucks with no cruse control? No auto locks, so every time I had to open the passenger door I had to unlock it with a key! It rained the 11 hours we drove and the truck cab leaked the whole way keeping us wet as we drove. We eventually had to take off our shirts to stuff we're the leaks we're and we had to drive in our bras. DO NOT rent from uhaul!!!!! Rent from anyone else!!! Then they never communicated to me a change in the drop off location...I found this out later after i was flying home and they then charged me for this?!!! You can't get a hold of them, wait times exceed 1 hour. DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL.....HORRIBLE COMPANYLaura G.
Truck was given to me with slightly under 1/4 tank. Drove the truck for 11 miles to do a move, and trying to get the truck back in before closing, I did not time to fill up the tank back to 1/4. The 11 miles I drove was charged for 6 gallons of gas at $5.75 a gallon, plus a $30 charge for returning under 1/4 tank (totaling $66 in fines). I do understand that these charges are in the fine print, but if the truck was already slightly under a quarter tank when I received it, I don't feel that I should have incurred such an exorbitant fee for the being under a quarter tank when that's how I received it. Users watch out, they keep it at 1/4 tank or just under when you get it which will immediately add an outrageous charge if you're unable to fill it before returning.Shane C.

I originally reserved a trailer from the location off El Paseo, for 9am. The returns that morning were clustered woth few people working until they called in more people. The line was long amd there was several people in front of me. On of which did NOT have a reservation but still managed to convince the manager Sarah to rent him a trailer for his motorcycle, she did so WITHOUT checking the reservation list. Gave him a trailer and I was checked out by another person who scheduled a trailer for me. The trailer was NOT on the lot, and the last one left, they gave to another person that came in behind me. They scheduled me another reservation to a different location, when I arrived there the location was closed. Need I add, I was charged for this trailer with insurance that I never received. Had to call customer service to which I was sent to the N Main location, he had one. But then I was charged for the trailer a 2nd time!!! Customer service stated I would have to call the orginal location, off El Paseo in Las Cruces NM for the refund. I called and Sarah was "busy" so I left a message to have her call me back ASAP, and never received a call back. I have never had such a poor experience until now, but am NOT happy with how all of this was handled. Not to mention the lack of respect to correct the situation of what they did wrong! The gentleman at N Main was nice and efficient on getting me a trailer ASAP, 3 HOURS later after I was suppose to be in the road. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER OVER ALL.rebecca S.

Hidden fees. I rented a 26' vehicle at the $170 Rate + $7 dolly + $7 dolly + $7 Dolly + 4x $5 pads ($20) + $28 insurance. This should total $239 + Tax for a total of $258.86, but I was charged $281.63 despite being under the 80 mile limit and fueling with $40 worth of fuel to get the gauge back to the 3/4 full. Overall, my rental cost me $321.63. I will be very hesitant to use this service again.Ben B.

The pick up location was fine. The guy was ok. He could have been more helpful. I think they think if you are using the app, you don't need any help. What if you are using the app for the first time? It should have been made clear that you are renting a truck with the gas tank filled to an exact increment and that to refill it to the exact increment on return, you have to refer to the gauge on the contract. It would be so much easier to simply put in a big box on the contract: THIS TRUCK HAS 27.3 GALLONS OF GAS IN IT RIGHT NOW. YOU MUST RETURN IT WITH 27.3 GALLONS IN IT BECAUSE WE WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU ONE SINGLE CENT IF YOU OVERFILL IT. That would be much easier for customers who are stressed during the moving process. The contract is already small print and the gauge on the contract is even smaller print. If you see in a hurry, you are going to miss that and overfill the tank when you return it. Then U-haul can just sit back and grin saying â€œpolicyâ€ and it sucks to be you. At over $3 a gallon and with the other costs of moving, that is hard-earned money down the drain (or into U-haul's pockets). Buyer beware.Stephen A.

The overall Uhaul experience was frustrating. I was able to reserve a truck days in advance, but was informed the day before my planned move that a truck was not available. This left me scrambling to find another similar rental truck for the move at the last minute. Uhaul then informed me late afternoon, the day before the move that a truck would be guaranteed. All of this confusion caused undue stress on all persons involved in the move. The process for these transactions should be better monitored.William S.

The North Main owner, Ed Diaz, is one of the nicest and smartest people I have even met. He is welcoming, gracious and ever helpful. He cares about what he is doing. He may not remember all of his customers (usually such brief encounters) but we remember him and his first class treatment. On a previous rental, I made a mistake and Ed helped me to resolve it that was very convenient for me (totally my screw-up). On this rental, there were equipment problems and Ed went out of his way to make sure it was fixed right so no future customer was adversely affected.Steven K.

I had reserved a uhaul with dolly included two weeks prior to the date. When I brought the uhaul home to begin to load it the dolly was not in it. I called the office and was told I would need to go to the original location and most likely a second location to see if they had one in stock. I did not have time to stop by two locations and instead had to buy a dolly. Once we were on the road we noticed the uhaul shaking and pulling. My sister was following us in another vehicle and told us the front right tire was shaking and appeared loose. We had to pull over and lost about two hours waiting for a tire company to repair the issue. He informed us the tire was misshapen and had a bulge. I understand things like this happen but the truck clearly stated it had been inspected and was safe to use. It was not. Thankfully once it was fixed we were able to make the ten hour drive without further issues with equipment. I prepaid for four days but returned the uhaul on the second day. I have yet to be refunded for the dolly or the extra two days I did not use the truck.Cristian V.
