Initial car had blood stains in the seat, second car had smell, and invoice was incorrect. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone

1. The day before my scheduled rental pick-up I received a call that the 20 footer I had scheduled was not ready. I ended up renting the 10 footer and I was still charged for the 20 footer. 2. There were piles of wood in the back of the U-haul when I opened up the door that I had to ask the gas station people to move out. 3. The key was not in the back of the U-haul when I opened as I was told it would be. Had to call customer service who told me to ask the gas station manager for it. The gas station attendant would not give it to me without the password lock which was “HOLD” which I showed him over and over again. I had to sit on hold with customer service again for another 10+ minutes and even had to put them on speaker phone to get the attendant to give me the key. 4. When I turned on the truck the gas was on empty So I had to pay extra $ for gas. I put it together, the gas station people were using this as their personal transport for the wood they were using in the back of station (they had wood cutting tools and tables set-up in the back). I would like compensation back for both paying for a larger size rental than I scheduled and if possible, $ back for gas that should have been in there in the first place.

Rajesh PThe instructions said to leave the lock at the location with an attendant. This was a mobile pick-up so there wasn't an attendant and the man working at the gas station said he didn't take them.

Mitchell WWe chose the first U-Haul location because of its proximity to our house. There was an issue picking up the truck due to the keys not being staged in the vehicle and we had to go to another location. Then, there were issues with the application not working that took an hour or so to sort out. Will use enterprise from now on
Brandon BPerson on site kneeing nothing and could not help me get and figure out the app. Long rental process including UHaul seemingly not knowing the condition of its own vehicle.
