Inspect equipment before letting out to long distance, or any distance for that matter. One tire was so damaged, bouncing violently at 50MPH, I had to call U-Haul roadside to come replace FROM a U-Haul facility!. Turns out the tread was coming apart and sidewall was deformed. The U-Haul location would not change the tire. This took quite a while. I was not able to leave for my trip until the next day, costing another hotel night stay. The tire appeared quite old and I believe should not have been on the equipment. On top of that every tire had significantly different pressures from 40PSI to 65PSI. The simplest measurement the dispensing location could have done. I mentioned the 40PSI to the repair person and he said it happens... I had to stop 3 times on my trip to refill to 60PSI. Clean, yes - Well maintained... No
GREGORY SI wanted to drop off at the Tustin Uhaul location which is close to my house. I was told I could not. I went to the location I was given on Standard street in Santa Ana and there was no person there. I called U haul and they had the guy come out. The drop off system is set up for your convenience, not mine. At what you charge you should be more accommodating ...

Mary MI scheduled an appointment for a 15' truck 13 days prior to the move. The day before I was redirected to OC Truckstop from the El Camino Real location. They upgraded me to a 20' truck, but OC Truck Stop wasn't allowing the 20' truck to go one way. So then they upgraded me to a 26' truck, which I really didn't want or need. Because of all of this, I was 2 hours behind schedule and had to pay movers to stand around. I'm very disappointed in the logistics of Uhaul and I'll be asking for a discount because of this.

LUZ AExcellent customer service. Everything explained thoroughly and clearly. Smooth transaction. I have made a few local moves over the years, but this was the first time renting a truck one-way out of state. The simplicity and ease of their online system puts U-Haul above their competition.
