I flew in from out of state to help my daughter move into her new home. Uhual cancelled my reservation at 11 pm the night before with no explanation. I talked to a supervisor after being on hold for over an hour. The Supervisor made me a new reservation that was 20 miles further than original reservation. I was driving to pick up the truck and had my reservation cancelled again with no explanation. I talked to the gentleman where I was supposed to pick up the new truck and he had no record of My reservation. The uhual representative did me a huge favor and released one of his trucks he had booked for later in the day. I also booked helpers through the uhual website. The movers showed up an 2/12 hours late. I tried to get ahold of uhual through there their website which was down. A big fail on all fronts. Never again!!!

Absolutely the best Uhaul service I have had yet! I needed a truck last minute, and in this trying time (coronavirus/riots), I struck out a THREE other uhauls in baton rouge. Brian came to my rescue with less than five minutes left before close with utter kindness, cordiality, and patience. This will be the ONLY uhaul I use in the future and thanks again!!

Truck was clean and where the website said it would be located. I rented a hand truck online, but it was not in the back of the truck. Employee from location called me and apologized. He was very nice.

Truck did not get cleaned before. There were wrappers in there, spilled drinks that had dried up. We had to wipe it down with Clorox wipes before our trip. We left it cleaner than we got it

The person in charge of processing was not at all prepared and kept my movers there for nearly an hour (while I was paying them by the hour). The movers I worked with said the experience was extremely frustrating. Also, I paid for moving equipment that was not available so uhaul essentially took money from me.

I was overchared. I filled it up before returning and it was only 7/8 full when I took it. I was charged a little over 12 dollars for gas. I was charged fore 60 miles and I live 3 miles from my old house. I could say if we stretched it a bit 20 but 60 not a chance in the world. I chose the 5 dollar option and was charged the 28.00 option for the second day. It shows it was returned at 11 and it was returned right after 10 am

We had the worst experience picking up the truck. The location seemed close and convenient. It was a mobile pickup since the location didn't open until 11am and we wanted to get started earlier then that (9am or earlier). When we got there, the app wouldn't load on my phone, no idea why, it loaded just fine when I made the reservation. It took 30 minutes to get pictures taken and loaded to the app. Afterwards, they told us the picture wasn't clear enough so we had to start over. It took an hour to go thru the process just to have our reservation expire and so we had to call customer service. After sitting on hold over 30 minutes and being transferred twice, we finally spoke to a human being who walked us thru the process, which took 40 more minutes. At this point, it's 1030am, 2 hours after we were supposed to pick up the truck, and we get the keys, start it up, to find the gas meter was on empty. Something told me to check the back of the truck for the supplies I ordered (appliance dolly, 2 sets of furniture pads, and a furniture dolly). I open the back of the truck and nothing is there, completely empty. We tell the guy from customer service on the phone that our supplies are missing, and so he transfers us again and we wait 10 more minutes to talk to someone who tells me that she can call around to every separate location to find the supplies or she can just refund the price of the supplies, which I'll receive in 5-10 business days. I told her I'll need those supplies to save time and can't be inconvenienced to go to another location as well as pay more mileage on the truck to go pick them up. So she just tells me I can go to Home Depot and rent them, and it'll probably be about the same price. If I wanted to do that, I wouldn't have even bothered with renting from uhaul. Now it's after 11am, I'm missing supplies, and even though I reserved the truck for 10 hours, I still need to return it at the same time (10 hours from my original pickup time). It took us far longer to move then originally anticipated since all the supplies were missing, and so i got charged for an extra days rental plus insurance for an extra day. When i returned the uhaul, i had no issues whatsoever. It only took maybe 10 minutes, and then they wanted to have me do a survey on the drop-off process. Not on the pickup process or the fact that I was inconvenienced, overcharged, and missing supplies. Don't ever rent from uhaul unless you want to pay extra fees and sit on hold with customer service. The whole ordeal was complete bologna.

Security deposit rather paying by card or cash should not exist. There is too much hassle in getting your money back when dropping off your rental.

Vehicle was full of dog hair and prieces of dog food was left under seat. Many ciggeret butts we left in the ash tray. To improve you can ensure that the vehicles are cleaned are ready to go.

Customer service was horrible! Very ghetto and the guy tony even hung up in my face! I wouldn't even recommend the location! Go into a actual U haul location because at bail bonds if they are dealing with bail bonds work they will brush u aside as if your not a customer also! I contacted a manager they told me a head manager was going to call I never got one but my card was charged! The money was no problem I just wanted them to be aware of who they having running apart of their company! Very unprofessional and lazy! Had he delt with me when I came in to turn the truck in then my whole problem would've been resolved but instead it was more of me leaving information on a piece of paper and getting charged a bigger fee! If I had went to a real location I'm sure this would've been a better turn out! Do no go here!! After having to move a 2 bedroom townhouse last minute basically by myself for 12 hours with a 18 month old I could've used a friendly reminder instead it turned out even worse then Moving! Lesson learned and I'll be using family trucks from now on because this is ridiculous

I was charged an additional $59 fee because the employee did not get off the phone and check the truck in. I was told to “go”. It was apparently not checked in until close to 7:00pm when the truck was returned at 2:30. I have called the drop off location and asked for a correction and refund of the fees and am only told the person who can do this isn't available and will return the call. I have neither received a refund or a return call. I am currently sitting on hold for the last 19:39 seconds with the main U-Haul customer service number and still have not had my call answered. Disappointed in the so called customer service all around! $250 initial rental plus an additional $59 as a feigned late fee on an early return.

I am calling the customer service number "AGAIN" in an attempt to speak to someone in management about my reservation not the actual rental. After crisscrossing the country and living in four states (LA twice) I have never had this type of experience with U-Haul. I made my reservation weeks in advance for a 26' truck. The night before pick-up I received a text message confirming a location nearly 40 miles away! After hours on the phone and multiple calls, I was told that I could only get a 20' truck in town and not from the location near my storage unit but on the opposite side of town. The contents of my 3bd/2ba home could not and did not fit. I've had to sell treasured pieces because of this nightmare. The gentlemen at On Time Bail Bonds did not even have my reservation until I called again the next morning after not getting an updated email! He jumped through hoops that should not have been his responsibility. Then the price for the one way reservation was increased in the reservation from $262 for a 26' truck to $299 for a 20' truck. I freaked out due to sheer anger of this injustice and inexcusable lack of customer service. I had taken screenshots the day of my reservation in July to show my family the cost comparison between U-Haul and Penske. Those were still in my album and I forwarded them to the U-Haul onsite rep. The screenshot showed that on the day I made my reservation the 20' truck for a one-way rental was only $230 and not $299. That was more than the original reservation of the 26' truck. He adjusted the price to match what the 20' would have cost me on the original reservation day. He then gave me extra miles which I graciously accepted but did not end up needing. There was not way my movers were going to make two trips from Baton Rouge, LA to Jackson, MS and I was paying them by the hour. This experience has cost me a tremendous amount of unnecessary stress, tears and anger!
