Stopped and made reservation in advance, pick up was easy!

KAIRIK SWe ultimately expected a 20ft truck but got a 26ft truck. We made it work but having booked nearly three weeks in advance, it would have been nice to have the truck length we needed as we had to pivot our packing method. But overall, nice experience.

JACOB CStop charging double for a one way rental. The Pierre location has 2-5 car trailers on their lot every day. I have vehicles north of Pierre, SD. I live in Madison, SD. Lake Herman auto in Madison only gets a car trailer if someone brings it to them. I was asked to rent one in Pierre and bring it to Lake Herman auto because they never have any car trailers. I paid over $300 to use a Uhaul car trailer for 2 days because I did Lake Herman auto a favor. The usual charge is $67.50 a day. You don’t transport trailers to locations that need them when other location are overstocked with trailers. Someone needs to pay me back at least half of what I paid to rent those 2 trailers for 1 day each. If nothing is returned I will never rent another Uhaul and I will file a complaint with the BBB and the SD Attorney General’s office of Consumer Protection.

ROGER DThe tow dolly I rented had damaged fenders and lights. They worked, but should have been repaired/replaced before renting for a 1500 mile trip. The 26’ truck performed wonderfully! As a former bobtail driver, I was pleasantly surprised. Good in ya, U-Haul!

JAMES TBeing perfectly honest!? The inside of the truck was clean. As for the engine performance I would have to say the truck had reached its lifespan and needed new fuel injectors. The suspension was worn out and it wandered making you have for a long drive trying to keep it from pulling into the oncoming traffic. Newer models of trucks have a USB port to charge your cell phones and laptops so you can use your Navigation systems we come to rely on daily. I did manage to get I think 14.947 mpg on my 1,855 mile trip from Sturgis SD to Decatur Al

ERIC FRental agent was super fast, respectful and even threw in a couple ratchet straps. He had the patience to wait for me to dig hitch out of back of truck and even laid on ground to hoo up trailer since tailgate was down due to another bike being in bed of truck. Explained situation of having a brother broke down on his bike 70 plus miles away and he made everything happen super fast.

He made sure I understood the rental details, and he was especially helpful in showing me the truck’s features. I really appreciated the time he took to help me and I loved his energy! Also, what a cool store! If I would have had time, it would have been fun to check out the guitars and the scuba gear! I give John an A+ 5-star 10 out of 10 rating for exceptional and efficient service!
