This was my first time renting from Uhaul and I did not have a good experience. When I rented the equipment through the Uhaul app there was never a prompt as to whether I wanted an in town versus one way rental or what that means. When I picked up my rental truck I was told it was an in town rental but I needed a one way. The Uhaul rep said he changed it but did not and charged me for 200 extra miles. I had to spend several hours fixing it two days later to return it to a different location and I’m still waiting for a refund for the extra amount I was charged. Uhaul should update the app to have that distinction is made very clear to prevent this from happening. Also sounds like Uhaul reps need training.

I spent 6 days moving not only my things but was also involved in a ride share where I drove someone else’s things for a credit on my bill. I dealt with lots of people and contracts and constant emails and texts guiding me along the way. Truck was gifted extra miles and extra days, pick up location was closed so another day was added no problem. Everything was 5star service until I was charged an extra day upon dropping it off when I followed instructions in the app. So after everything is said and done I have to spend 30 minutes on hold to my $60 that stolen off my credit card. This leaves a really bad taste after all the good business we did together.

Although in the reservation i had rejected SafeMove option, they added that anyway to the final receipt.
