I moved to the other side of the country and couldn't be happier. The truck did great and I was able to arrive safely without any issues with the equipment. I highly recommend getting movers to help and it was awesome being able to work with U haul and local moving companies.Sarah M.

When I picked up the truck, it was missing the furniture dolly that I ordered. The auto repair shop was closed. I had to add miles to my bill by driving to the uhaul center in Clearfield and pick up a furniture dolly.Malachi K.

Very picky about gas level. Says it's â€œthe systemsâ€ fault. Overall U-Haul did a poor job about mileage. Only gave me enough miles to drive from the pick up location to the drop off location. I felt knit picked. I finally told the drop off location attendant â€œwhatever you go to do,â€ I just want to go. This has been a bad experience with U-Haul. When I moved from Vegas to Salt Lake City 3 months ago, I used Budget truck. No knit picking. A very pleasant experience with Budget.Eric F.
I waited nearly an hour due to the U-Haul system being messed up. Owner was on the phone with support, asked for my drivers license number 4 times, my credit card info (which I already entered when I reserved the trailer) 2-3 times. A total waste of time. Ladies also started smoking inside the office area where I was, which is quite against the law. I should have just rented a trailer from Home Depot instead.Alex L.

I'm so glad i found this location. The one at 1596 N Hill Field Rd, Layton, UT 84041 is closer and was supposed to be open. But the place was dark and locked up at 1000 am on Friday?? I would tell everyone I knew that if the goal is to be treated like crap, then this is the best place to go. If you want better service, then go practically anywhere else. I got a trailer that had obviously been used by the guy that runs the shop. There were scratches on the trailer that I had to take pictures of and report to uhaul before I even left. The trailer had not been cleaned out. When I returned it, he wasn't willing to even try to help me get it off my car. Instead he stood there and waited until I had it off my car myself and almost in the street because I couldn't get it over the curb. He was willing to let it be in the street where it could get hit if a car came around the corner. And this was all before my trailer was checked in. Please revoke him from renting trailers. If he treated me like this, I am positive he has done it to others.ELIZABETH T.

This uhaul dealer tried multiple times to charge us over double for the rental. I had to call uhaul help line and the rep walked him through how to do it right and even then he kept trying to charge us over 600 for a $280 rental. He then never said a word about severe damage to the roof which was allowing water into the cargo hold. All of our stuff got wet and ruined including about $2000 worth of mechanics power tools.Joshua L.

when i made my reservation, i chose one location and they told me that i would get military discount. a day before i was to pick up the trailer, i received a call that my trailer would not be available at the requested location and that i would need to pick up at a different location. I did not receive the dollies or blankets that i requested. When I called they said I didn't check them out and it wasn't in my contract. When I dropped off they asked me where they were because it showed that I checked them out. I paid for something and never received it. Getting to the trailer was a joke there was no mention of a deposit for using cash. I felt like I was bothering the employee. Your truck rental is way too high, at least give some free milage to local rentalcathy K.
It's misleading when you charge 29.95 a day but you add on an environmental fee a safe trip fee (even though I bought the Safemove option?) And a moving tax. Not as bad as a phone bill but a little misleading. But it's still a good price even with the 11 dollar add on.David M.

Absolutely NOT. This location was disgusting. It was filthy. There were piles of bills, invoices, mail, etc. all over the counter. There were broken down cars, blocking many of the trailers, and car dollies. It was so unorganized that one of the car dollies had to be moved in order for me to get the car carrier out. Then, the owner tried to tell me the rate was going to change when I had already taken care of changing the location for drop off with the central reservation and was told there would be no change. I arrived 10 minutes before the specified reservation time, but by the time I left, it was 40 minutes after the reservation time. I will NEVER pick up or drop off any item from list location again.Aaron H.

I scheduled 3 weeks in advance to have a truck ready for pick-up on a Saturday at 10am (it was written on the contract) after being sent to 2 different sites I was told my truck wouldn't be in until 5:00pm. I had to drive 2 hours to pick up the truck and get back home. I later found out that I was only given 12 blankets instead of the 24 ordered on my contract. We called customer service and told them the situation. They said they would take off the 12 blankets so I wouldn't be charged. I was charged for them anyway. We talked with someone that was supposed to be an assistant manager and he was very rude, told us we were at fault for trusting what was on the contract (concerning time of pick-up) and that we should have waited until we actually picked up the truck before making plans for having people come and help load the truck. We were on a tight time schedule as it was and if we had waited until 5:00pm we would've been loading well after midnight. Not all of our stuff would fit into the truck so at the last moment I had to rent a trailer as well, which I wouldn't have been able to do since the rental place would've been closed by the time I realized I would need extra room. Needless to say everyone we have talked with has heard our horror story and now know to never rent from U-haul. The sad part is many people we have talked to have had the same poor experience with your company.

The drop off location was in a crowded lot of a mechanic shop. There was no apparent good place to leave the trailer and the U-Haul representative was not in the office when we arrived. We drove up and started to disconnect the trailer. The guy finally showed up 15 minutes later and said why are you unloading it here and wanted us to leave it on the street. He didn't really help us at all. We had to figure out how to unhook the chains and the straps and move the ramps and back up the car on our own.brad K.
