Hello, I'm not sure if the issue I had with UHAUL was a UHAUL issue, or a location issue. Trying to rent the truck was so frustrating. I had a booking and that was fine, but when I came to the location to pick up the truck, the computer system was VERY slow. There was one person in front of me, and it took about 1/2 an hour for them to get their truck, then it was my turn. Again, the computer was so slow and it took another 1/2 hour to get my booking processed. I had people waiting, ready to load the truck and this delay caused issues. I will say that the man who was helping me was very apologetic and tried to help as best he could. So...to whoever maintains the computer system for UHAUL, please upgrade it, fix it, or whatever needs to be done to make booking and picking up a truck easier. Thanks!

I believe we paid for an extra day but didn't use it . Would be great to be able to get a credit even it were an in-store credit. 9verall a great experience and will use again. Better to add onto for extra days then to assume you will use up the days. Then lose out on money.
Shane MThis is a busy store for kids clothing so not all the staff are trained for the U Haul rentals. We had to wait for someone to assist us. There was a discrepancy with the fuel gauge that was noted when we picked up the vehicle and we still were told to fill past this line or we would be charged for fuel. We returned the U Haul with more than needed fuel 15 minutes later and a lady took down the information. We received a phone call an hour later asking us when the U Haul would be returned and we told them it already had been. Disorganized in their process. The return process took about 40 minutes.

Violet SLocation was easy to get to. A bit confusing as to where to park
Ronald EMy rental location, size of truck and pick up location was changed last minute. When we picked up the U-Haul it was not as clean as it could be in the interior. As we were loading the truck and preparing to leave, we noticed that the windshield fluid was leaking which we felt should have been noticed prior to us picking up the truck. Having to deal with this issue caused us to have to delay our move more than five hours.

I spoke to someone about in live chat who said she would leave a note on the file and we would be refunded for this ($30 plus tax) and I have heard nothing about this. I was also charged a cleaning fee which I was never told about. Plus we leave tge truck as clean as we got it.
Sharen CThe truck I rented the wiper was broken.they replaced the truck with a 2 wheel drive truck that had only a quarter tank of gas and bald tires in a snow storm! Got stuck and had to pay 320$ for a tow truck
Christina HI did enjoy how quickly the process went for pickup and drop off. I did find that side mirrors were rather dirty and I took it upon myself to clean them before my trip.
Blair BAs it's mainly an outdoor drop off - it's hard to rate the location. Could have better signage as to where to drop off keys and if it's necessary to go into retail store or not. Staff was helpful (though one person didn't know much about it at first) enough.

Jacqueline DYour policy of accepting reservations then not fulfilling them is very poor. I made a reservation 2 months ahead of needing the truck with all the details and was told 2 days before "no can do". all the one way trucks are already in Alberta. The storage pod alternative was not workable since the storage location was 350 Km away. Hiding the fact that you don't need to have a truck for me in the fine print is very poor form. This may cover you legally but ethically it stinks and is deceptive and deceitful. To top it all off I found two identical trucks in my original, desired pickup location, one of which the agent identified as 'one way'. So you either don't know where your trucks are or you don't care to service your customers. By having to take a truck from Lethbridge and drive it out to Chilliwack and back, I had to sacrifice a $160 plane ticket and pay $200 extra in gas not counting the 15 hour drive. If you had any class at all you would reimburse me. If you choose to ignore me, you have just purchased several thousand $ of bad advertising. 93615547 order #

William NThe gentleman that assisted with the uhaul process was very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Collecting and dropping off the uhaul was stress free. Upon drop off, the total uhaul cost was also lower than quoted.

Victorio JThe truck’s windshield was caked with dried bugs, etc. which made visibility poor. Windshield wiper had no effect. I had to scrub the windshield with a heavy duty solution and scraper.

Karen PThis was one of the worst experiences with U-Haul yet. I reserved over a week in advance, was told the day before I picked up that I had to drive an hour and 45 minutes away to pick up the requested truck, then with a half hours notice, was advised the location in that city had changed. After driving to the new location, I then had to wait 45 minutes in a used child's clothing store while the brand new u-haul rep dealt with another customer who had an issue. Got into a dirty truck, had to pay an extra $150 in fuel just to get to the original city I had booked in, only to be 3 hours behind schedule. While they gave me a discount on the rental and additional kms, I still had to pay $150 extra in gas, had to drive an extra 3.5 hours, and had to pay $150 to stay in a hotel overnight as our final destination was too far away to continue driving safely. I have rented trailers and trucks from Uhaul for years and it has just steadily gotten worse. I would've made other arrangements but 24-hours notice was not enough time. This is the third time they haven't had my reserved rental available and I do not recommend anyone relying on this company for anything.

JOEL SHave staff that can communicate effectively. I have rented from UHAUL many times. One of the stipulations was always to fill the gas tank before returning. The tank on the truck I rented must have been empty. I spent $50.05 to fill the tank. I only went 6 kilometres. The staff that did my paperwork said that he told me I wouldn’t need to gas up because it was such a short trip. There was a glass barrier making it hard to hear. English wasn’t the staff’s first language. Is there a way to get my $50 back?
