The A/C Didn't even work. They didn't provide a solution or another option. I asked about a discount and he said to call customer service for them make the decision about any discount. When I called customer service they said it was up the manager at the pickup location. I felt I was getting a run around. I started out with a truck for $19.95 plus millage and ended up a $89.00 bill.. Sounds like a little bit of bait and switch.
Barry GThe entire time the guy was just acting like his store wasn't a drop off location and then the owner of the store got on the phone with me and wanted me to put in more gas, but as I stated to the owner, when i picked up the truck it only had 75 miles until empty and I was told and even shown on my contarct that I had to return it with the same amount so i returned it with 92 miles until empty. The whole drop off process was just annoying, from now on I will exclusively only use actual U-Haul store locations because I have the same experience everytime I've had to use a partnering store because its almost like they don't even know that they are uhaul partners
KEVYN MIt was an unmanned site that was weedy and had weed. Fence was broken down . Junked car sitting there and a storage shed that had seen better days.
RICHARD WIt's a fenced in area with an outdoor shed for an office. The fence is run down, collapsed in areas, and looks like a fly-by-night enterprise. Not a good look for U-Haul. I wanted to drop it off at Harrod's Chevron but the app would not allow me to change the location.

alexus eTook over 30 minutes to pick trailer up. Reservation was at 12:30 didn’t get it until after 1:00pm. Terrible experience at this location. Only reason I went here is because this was the only location in Prattville on this particular day that had the trailer I needed. Hope to never go back to this location.

Annie BMy rental was scheduled for 3:15. Since I was passing the location around 11:00, I stopped in to make sure I had the time/location correct (I hadn't received a confirmation E-mail). The gas station rep was friendly and even contacted the person who was scheduled to return the trailer at 3:00 to make sure he was going to be on time. Around 2:00, the rep called and said the trailer was there whenever I wanted to come. My wife and I got there around 3:30 but the rep was gone since his shift was over. The gas station doesn't close until 10pm so there were two other people there to complete the reservation. Once they had completed the rental agreement, they told me to pull to the lot on the hill behind the station. I asked if one of them was going to come hook it up or at least make sure I did it correctly. They both just stared at me and said they didn't know how but made sure to tell me to pull back down to the station so they could take a picture of it hooked up. I drove around and looked it over then backed up to it. Normally I wouldn't have an issue lifted the 6x12 trailer onto the hitch but I just had surgery on both legs a couple of weeks prior. I had to open the back of the trailer and have my wife stand in the back as a counterweight in order to barely get it over the hitch ball. Once I had that done, I chained the trailer and checked the brake fluid and lights as the instructions said. It looked low to me but I was sure if I was reading the float correctly. I pulled down to the station as instructed and the guy came out to look at the connection. He said I did it correctly (interesting since he said he didn't know how earlier) and had me try the signals/brake lights. I opened the brake fluid indicator and asked him if it had enough fluid and he just shrugged and said he didn't know how to read it. I thanked him and left even though I wasn't overly confident about the braking system

Gerald LThe truck is in bad condition, no AC. We would have cooked if we were moving a long distance during the summer. The truck was banged up and the inside had not been swept by the previous person. Check-in was not mobile as the truck was not "assigned" to me when I got there so I had to wait for the cashier at the gas station to handle the situation. Will not be using this location again.

Christner CTruck had no A/C. Worker at the gas station which runs the U-Haul had me wait 45 minutes when I already completed all check in via the app. I just needed the keys and I had to go over all of the same information that was on the app. Would not recommend this location again.
Richard WThe truck was empty when I drove away and the contract estimated charge to my bank was 142.20 However when I checked my bank, I was charged $142. 20 plus 117. 85 on 8/13. I also spent $65 to fill it up and returned it 3/4 full. I am extremely upset that I was double charged and the level of communication with the staff at the station was incomprehensible. Half of the blankets were used.and not clean or in a package. I need to speak to customer service.

BRENT MAC was not working and had to go 12 miles out of my way to pickup and the drivers door does not seal good and could not hear radio from the wind noise. was not happy with this rental.

Eric KI arrived with my reservation number, and had to wait an hour before I got the rental. No one in the store assisted me, i ended up talking to a “manager” on the phone. The lady did not show me the truck or go over paperwork, she just handed me the key and told ME to bring the dolly in or it would be EXTRA. The price quoted online when i reserved it was 55.00. Ended up paying 109 before i could get the truck. I waited an hour to get the truck (9:30) and returned it at 4:30. Total showed 113.00 jumped to 142.00. The lady at the location SENT ME to take a picture of the mileage on the truck, and I had no paperwork showing how much it was when I rented as NO ONE showed me the truck as in previous experiences with U-Haul. NEVER RESERVING AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!

Matthew HI am very disappointed with this facility. We only drove the vehicle 14 miles. We replaced the gas to the exact place it was when we rented the truck. They told me that it needed more gas in it or they would take the money out of my deposit. I took before and after pictures of where it was when we got it, where it was when we brought it back and also where I had to put extra gas in it because they would not accept it. So now there is a half tank in the truck where there on obviously more from the pictures to begin with. I paid 100.00 deposit and was supposed to get the remaining $40 of my deposit back but they charged my card for the entire $100. I wish I had read the reviews before dealing with them. I would not refer anyone to this place.
Elbert RThe original U-Haul pick up was suppose to be In Holtville Al, Slapout hardware. When I got there at 8am no one was available, the 2 phone lines I called didn’t except voice mail. The truck was not ready. I had to call U-Haul and they sent me to a different location, 30 minutes out of my way and additional 20 miles, 40 total combined when I I had to return it. The file gage was on 3/4 of a tank when I picked it up and I made sure it was back on 3/4 of a tank. U-Haul charged me an additional 12.00 because it was a difference of 3 miles on the miles to empty. Not impressed at all.
Royal HThis was by far the worst U-Haul experience I’ve encountered in nearly 30 years. Prior to looking up my reservation, the operators at the location told me they could not offer me a vehicle and I should work that out with the parent company. Once they finally acknowledged my reservation the truck was disgusting. If my move wasn’t so urgent I would have declined the vehicle. To make matters worse, it was a stormy trip and a gap in the window seal caused water to pour on the side of my back. I’d I ever rent another moving truck I’ll be sure to use a different provider.

Maryland GThe truck had a cracked windshield and the glove box had multiple older contracts. There was also trash that I had to clean up behind the seats from previous renters.
Silas STruck was very dirty when picked up. Lots of trash, cigarettes and spilled drinks. The cabin also smelled of smoke. The location was not bad, the pick up process took awhile as the tenant in the gas station had to go back and forth between me and other customers and asked almost all the same questions on the virtual pick up did on my phone.

Burt BThis location has been the only positive thing about this experience. Rose was very helpful and actually listened to our concerns and needs. She was prompt and able to assist us in this mix-up that started with the Millbrook, AL location not doing their end of the deal. I would recommend people coming here if they are in need of services because I know they will assist you if anything comes up.

Jerry CI called Uhaul. The truck would not go beyond 45 mph because the last gear was not working. The truck was extremely loud. Sounds like converter was cut off.

Kraig KPut a muffler on the truck. Very hard to get your truck and stuff when the person behind the counter is doing her best but having to help people at the gas pumps and waiting the customers inside the store while you wait before they can finish helping you. Owner is quite rude.
Kelly G!!!!!!!DO NOT USE!!!!!!Worst experience I have EVER had, employees would not assist picking trailer up onto the truck and told me to leave the fuc*^# store they were not there to help me, upon returning the trailer once again I couldn’t remove it by myself and was told to keep the fuc&$@ trailer if I couldn’t remove it, and they were not going to go outside. Told me to leave and that I was banned from the store. Luckily somone stopped to assist me with the removal of the trailer. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION OR SPEND MONEY IN THIER STORE. I spoke with customer service rep and filed a complaint with them as well.

Leparis HItems I wanted to rent were not available. Wanted to rent from a certain location and was sent to another that was not great. Had to wait on hand trucks and blankets without flat dolly I ordered. Was not offered a refund at all, $7.00. Person did not speak clear English so I could not understand and was not clear on what I needed to do. Fortunately I have rented before so I sort of knew. Very disappointing experience.
GAIL STruck was hard to drive. Had to really press the gas pedal harder. Seemed like it was driving very slow and hard to change gears. Overall it was a easy process to reserve the uhaul.
Lashander WFirst, I selected a different location when I rented because I knew it was a better location and was closer to my new house but the location was sealed the day before I picked up. I then got to the new location and after doing everything on the app to check in I had to let the guy take a picture of my license on his personal cell phone and was made to wait 10 minutes with no reason why. When I brought the truck back, I checked everything in on the app and was then chased down as I pulled out of the parking lot to come in and check in the rental. Overall I feel like this location needs to be more aware of what is going on.
Chase BEntry fence looked like it had been run over and was mostly collapsed. The ground was not level, and there were no chalks available to prevent the trailer from rolling. At least having large rocks available would help fix this issue.
George KVery poor customer service. Trailer not clean. Trailer just dropped in the middle of the lot. I had to manually move it so I could hook up to it. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I will not rent from them again and will advise everyone I know not to rent from there either.
BRUCE GShowed up and asked about my U-Haul reservation, and was told that I had to wait 10 minutes for the guy that was actually able to help me with my reservation to show up. When he got there, I was taken out to their U-Haul lot to get my rented trailer and moving blankets. The trailer was fine. But to get the blankets, the attendant took me over to a tool shed that is covered with kudzu vines and is open to the elements. He unlocked the door and pointed inside and said “go get your blankets”. Inside the took shed there were moving blankets scattered all over the floor, in between piles of old rusty furniture and busted up ATM machines. I had to step over some piece of trash on the floor and around one of the ATM machines to get to the blankets, which smelled like cat pee. Had to throw trash around the room to get to said blankets. I ended up throwing them outside and folding them myself. Disgusting and a terrible way to serve customers. The guys here are nice, but their standard of customer service is low. Also, self serve cat pee furniture blankets. Come on U-Haul, I know half of your business is run out of places like this but, damn…

Marjorie GDealer gave me the wrong tow dolly, which required an hour to fix at the destination dealer. When I called the dealer for help, instead of helping he just told me to call the 800 number.

Shawna RClerks was unhelpful was more interested in their phones than assisting. The back of the truck wasn’t clean I had to sweep it out before loading my furniture. The gas was 1/2 I had a short drive in town had to spend $91 before getting on the road. I fully understand the return it at same fuel level as you got it. But extremely inconvenient to have to do it at the beginning when you’re on a time crunch. Uhaul has a bad habit of changing your itinerary if you rent a truck for say 2 days they allow you 1. When you as a customer knows your own needs and reason why you need for 2 days. Uhaul customer service is getting to be just horrible. You call either you get rude and condescending or you get completely dry and dissociated from whom you talk to,
Robert WDid not sign that trailer was returned. Had me park in a gated area that had. Large pot hole at the entrance. Had to wait for an email confirming trailer was returned instead of signing in. Did not ask if there were any issues .
Rodney APlease ensure all equipment is in the truck. We paid for equipment we did not receive and we had to go buy equipment to complete our move in a timely manner
JAMES CThis location does not have available personnel without going through a hassle with store workers to plead with the owner to check in vehicle. Happened twice to me only 1 week apart. Almost had to disconnect the 6X12 cargo trailer myself until someone showed up 30 minutes later. Storage lot is completely full and never has space to drop off trailer.
James DHad a flat tire when we picked it up and the attendant said we had to pay the $2 to use the air pump outside to blow it up because they weren’t responsible for it.
Howell BWalk into store to get rental but was rudely informed it was online only, online process on a device is rather long and tedious when you need a rental quickly. Truck first assigned the key was missing, so they assigned me another truck with 1/4 tank of gas and was not swept out in back. Maybe one of my worst renting experiences in a long time.
