The location is a gas station that is rundown. When going to the counter. It smells bad inside. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. The were way behind on the trucks as keep up with other patrons was more important. One person behind the counter trying to assist everyone was not efficient. The location was did not feel like a safe environment.

Arrived at 12 noon, took roughly another 30 minutes for the clerk to finish processing my rental due to his being the only person at the location waiting on customer for gas, lottery, etc.

Cory DI found the app to be very cumbersome to use. After going through all the verifications, my identity could not be verified (even though I took the required headshot and uploaded the front and back of my license.) My reservation was cancelled. Fortunately I was able to rebook but it was a lot of extra work and made me late for picking up the furniture that I was renting the Uhaul for. The gas station employee who gave me the key was fine. That part of the experience was to be expected. But the actual experience of engaging with Uhaul via the reservation system/app was very annoying.

It was difficult to know where to leave the truck, it was self-serve only and there was no keybox to leave the keys in so we had to go in the convenience store and wait in line to return them -- and then we were not sure that we had done the right thing. The attendant was behind bullet proof glass. It was not at ALL welcoming.

My trip wasn't even 5 miles but when I brought it back , I was slapped with a47.85 bill! Preposterous!! I asked to see the odometer and gas tank that I had taken and sent photos of. Mysteriously, they couldn't be seen or sent to me. Not only that, they just charged my card another 2.81 for absolutely nothing!! Of course I'm gonna call but just watch out people. Holiday scams are all around us!!!

When I brought the van back I had to scan a barcode and take pictures of the van myself. This is a service that is usually performed by the staff. I will not use this location in the future.

April TI was able to order furniture blankets and a flat furniture dolley, but this location only offers utility dolleys. So, my issue was with the app not recognizing the limited offering. I was refunded for both items that were unavailable. So, the customer service at the location was good.

Lakeisha BI wasn't there exactly on time and my reservation was canceled. I wasn't told that if I wasn't there exactly at the time of my reservation that everything would be thrown out. I also wasn't even called or texted to ask if I was coming or notified as a matter of fact to let me know, "Just to let you know, it's been X amount of time so since you aren't here, your reservation is canceled". I figured being slightly late was only cutting into the time I had reserved the truck for. This lack of communication and guidelines should be adjusted on the forms and website to make it abundantly clear, and let your customers know they need to be there within X amount of minutes of their reservation. And if they don't arrive, you should at least contact them to let them know the reservation has been canceled. I then had to restart the entire process over. The person running the gas station/UHaul didn't know how to process a new order for UHaul. They are used to everything being checked in online, so they had to call someone and have them walk them through it. It took a very long time and it needed to be done in between him checking out customers from the gas station because he was the only one working for both businesses. I ended up being there for a very long time and was late for my next appointment. It was overall frustrating.

Returned truck but App and website would not load on my phone. Had to call UHaul to learn what to do. Returned to location and was able to get them to manually check in. What to do to improve?? Be sure App or website is able to load on phones.
David EThe trucks tank was empty when I picked it up. No where did the site prompt me to take a photo, nor did the agent on the phone request this. Upon checking out I was asked to make sure the tank had 1/4 gas. long story short I put a 1/8 tank of gas in on my dime. For a 5 mile round trip I had to go to two gas stations. With the 4 hour rental I spent 1 hour with the pick up and drop off process because the venue did not have the staff to help with blankets and a designated person to assist with my rental needs even tho I chose self check in and out.

It took them 45 minutes to figure out that my reservation wasn’t working because the size truck was not available although they had 3 of the size out front so they upgraded me to a bigger truck when they figured out that was the problem. Then to revive the keys I asked the gas station attendee and he didn’t know what I was talking about so after being on the phone with customer service for another 30 minutes I went back in and asked a different guy who handed the keys right over. I requested for 4 hours and only got 3 then the next day they had the nerve to charge me for 2 days even when the truck was brought back 10 minutes earlier than the drop off time!?!? The customer service reps were all nice though

Latria EThis uhaul location is in the most terrifying part of Baltimore. There were people begging for money and hassling me all over the place. I didn’t feel safe enough to fill the truck up with gas and the pickup and drop off was at a gas station. The instructions were unclear on how to get keys. The truck was filthy on the inside. I asked if I could return at another location I gets safe at and was denied (I was understanding of that). I will never ever use uhaul in Baltimore again.
Madison WI had an overall good experience with the U-Haul location and process. The equipment was functional and working properly. The only issue that I noticed was that I was charged $7.50 for gas when I have documentation showing that my gas was above the half tank mark that it's showing listed.
Jerel FMainrenance your vehicle completely and review the charges with the receipt from the hold deposit before coming up with the final cost. I have complained that the cost was miscalculated since the day I dropped it off a quarter filled with gas more than I picked it up with and I didnt recive a refund for overpaying or a thank you for the extra gas. I am completely disapponited. The vehicle only had a single windshield wiper working on the drivers side. The engine was loud and jerked me forward before it would accelerate and the service tire monitoring system keptcoming on and off. And Uhaul sent me a message and premarily said their rep said the truck was fine, but, I was highly concerned for the next customer. On top of that Uhaul has overcharged me and after about 4 days of waiting on a reply to my concerns, Uhaul took an overcharge of costs out of my account and advised me that that came with a 20% discount. I will be renting trucks from another business from here on out. Super unhappy about the entire experience.
