Terrible!!!! I had a gas leak with the truck, explained my situation when I returned the truck and this location STILL charged me a refueling fee and tried to say that I returned the truck one day late, which in fact I was TWO DAYS early!!!!! I am very disappointed with my experience. I appreciate that uhaul refunded me the refueling fee and late charge as these issues were out of my control, however I am not impressed that there was NO compensation for a defective truck! I leaked gas twice all over the gas station, did not trust that my vehicle was safe AT ALL, and felt very uncomfortable with knowing that the truck was LEAKING GAS!!!!! I had to drive the truck in northern Ontario with limited opportunities to stop to refuel, not knowing if I was going to be stranded on the highway because of this unsafe vehicle!!! Very disappointed with my experience!dawn M.

Have truck ready for pickup. Truck had sunk into the ice 3 or 4 inches and took a lot of effort to get out. Truck had a flat tire on the inside dual that needed to be plugged . Fortunately they were able to repair the tire at location. The windshield had a large crack from side to side thru the view area and would not pass a safety check if inspected. I took the vehicle regadardless. When I went to check the engine oil level enroute the oil dip stick was not in the tube. Fortunately it was still there and I checked the oil which was fine and inserted the dipstick. The interior dash lights worked intermittently. I had a flashlight with me and was able to checked engine gauges, speed etc when the lights decided to turn off.Kevin T.
I paid with TD visa and they said it didnt go through so I paid with RBC Visa. I dolloy that I was givern would not safely transport my vehicle 12 hours so I left it there. I was given a credit on the RBC Visa but not the TD Visa. I need my refund asap. Words can not describe my disappointment with my experience.DONALD W.
We received an incorrect trailer and wound up traveling over 10 hours for nothing as the equipment we went to pick up did not fit the trailer. We booked a 6 x 12 and were supplied a 5x9 instead which had to be dug out of a snowbank by ourselves. Not happy.Ron V.

poor communication with Uhaul staff overall ... had to rebook the dates of use, the drop off location was changed in the process which was totally unreasonable when I only wanted a one-way service. then on the phone to get this issue cleared up, customer service personnel told me to have truck dropped off by noon ... cost me an extra day charge. NEVER using Uhaul ever again!GLENN H.

We rented a 6x12 trailer from Oscarl in Sturgeon Falls for July 7 through to July 12. We returned it a day early and the owner was there when we dropped it off as he lives there. A week later the girl who works in the office called looking for the trailer and we told her we dropped it on Sunday July 11 and to talk to the owner as he was there. Yesterday October 29 we received a bill for $3600.00 saying we had just dropped it off. I called Oscarl and the girl who billed us out July 7 said she has no clue to call head office. That is just really poor service as it surprised the hell out of us. Because of this we will not rent from them again...we will drive to North Bay.Doug H.
The girl working the desk was very little help, offer less than minimal assistance and almost no information. She said to call the sudbury whatever location before dropping it off the next day. I explained that I was scheduled to drop it off on paris st in sudbury. She said whateverâ€¦. I said ok, do you have the sudbury number, I would write it down. She said, I don't know the number. And I said, well, I guess I'll look it up myself. Gave me a key and said go get the truck and pick up the blankets at the door. Looked out across the large parking lot / field lot and asked her which truck. She said just look for the number on the truck and match with the number (barely legible on the key chain). Found the truck and brought it to the front. I asked her how I manage the gas issue, did I need to just fill it up or just leave it. She said to bring it back with the same gas as now. (Again, I'm asking all these question as she was ready just to let me leave without any information). She didn't tell me I had to inspect the truck and respond to a text. I didn't see that until I got home and tried to connect and it declined as a time out. Oh well I guess. It was just the strangest, I could care less experience I think I have experience. I'm a business owner x 26 years and if my office manager communicated to my clients as poorly, I'd be getting complaints too.KATHYANN M.

Don't believe the price of the reservation online! It is mysteriously doubled when you go to pick up the unit. It is something Uhaul does apparently, the lady at the counter didn't seem to know why. Pretty shady.David H.
I contacted uhaul to inquire about cost per km. I was informed it was .40/km however when I showed up for the rental I was told it was .89/km. Had I known I'd have gone with another company . Also had a flat tire on our truck. They have never received my reservation so did not have my truck and couldn't get me one in time.Ross D.

This places closed down completely for lunch. I had ask for the truck for 12h30pm. All was supposed to go smoothly. When I finally reach someone. He was not friendly at all. I did not get truck to my house which is about 3 km from the pickup location till 1h45 pm. I lost over 1 hr of loading time.. I had to rush to meet my deadline. Not impressed with there service. If 12h30 was a problem. They should of called to let me know so that I could of made arrangements with my helpers.Jacqueline C.

I booked on Lakeshore Drive North Bay, and was directed to this location which is 20 mins west of North Bay. A North Bay location would have been more convenient for drop off. Location at Oscarl's was large and easy to park at and the unit was well maintained and mechanically sound. Thanks.Dan S.

My reservation was originally at 160 pinewood park dr. Cal lander. No people at site. Not the right address. Trailers frozen to the ground. No one there to help load the trailer. No one there to show you how the trailer hitch works. Terrible location and terrible staff that tell you nothing. While we were there in our mess, a lady arrives to pick up a truck, with no one there no keys available. You have to drive back to North Bay to get any info. Will never use this site again.John K.

I had to travel 45 minutes the wrong direction of my trip to get this trailer, U haul really needs to start keeping trailers available at ALL their locations... Also, it costs extra to drop the trailer off elsewhere which is a scam in itself so after a 12hr day of driving I had to again drive another 1.5hrs round trip to drop off the trailer rather than the location 5 minutes from my house.Ryan D.

the trailer should be cleaned and the tung of the trailer should be mounted on a 4x4 block to be easy to lift and conected to the truck and not frozen in the ice.Mike P.

My truck wasn't read at my pickup location. Had to drive 2 hours out of my way to get another truck at a different location. Truck was full of snow and iced up. I booked a 6x12 trailer 2 weeks in advance. I received a call on the Monday morning, just before my scheduled pick-up time of 10AM from your North Bay location. I was told that the 6x12 was not in North Bay and there was nothing available in North Bay and nothing they could do. I received another call shortly after from your 905 area code U-haul office telling me the trailer I had booked was in Cache Bay (100km round trip). I was told if I wanted a 6x12 I would have to drive to Cache Bay to pick it up. No responsibility was accepted by U-Haul and I was not compensated for my gas, wear and tear to my vehicle nor my time. Bad experience and in our opinion, U-Haul is unreliable and it doesn't matter how far in advance you book. Our moving plans turned into a high stress affair.Steven B.

Our requested location was not Cache Bay. Only three days prior we received a call saying our trailer would be ready to pick up (on the requested day) in Cache Bay (1 hour from Sudbury). This was very frustrating. Our phone call to customer service was not too helpful either. I've ran into similar challenges with uhaul before and I am not impressed.Steven G.
