This franchise is rotating equipment from customer to customer with warped brake discs which causes stopping and driving problems. The wrong person could end up causing an issue in traffic and for themselves if this vehicle is not pulled from service and repaired or replaced. I told him this in front of the next customer leasing this vehicle and it ended up in the Franchise owner playing victim as if I was picking on him. I wanted to save his business, his reputation, and customers from harm if not death in traffic. It was not a personal attack, I cared, and I won't stop caring... PLEASE TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE TO KNOW WHEN TO SERVICE THEIR VEHICLES... Just because they THINK it's safe does not mean that it is.

We rent U-Haul van from this location every year for an event.Always goes out of there way to make sure we are taken care of. Always friendly and smooth transaction every time. We will continue to be a loyal customer.

I love this location. I rent about 3 times s month and I always use this location. The owner Bill is very friendly and accommodating. He even let's me park my car there where I know it won't get towed and be safe. Uhauls are always clean and mechanically up to date. Thanks uhaul at paiges deli!

We made payment by phone to U-Haul and theough regional manager. Manager at location was rude, made threats and even reported us initially that the regional quickly handled. My card is being processed continuously without authorization when equipment was returned and paid for. Google review comments show this manager/owners integrity and lack of business ethics, I would suggest reading them. I have reported charges to my bank and reporting to authorities tomorrow.

Great customer service. I was able to find the self check info so I went in the store. The employee was very helpful. All equipment requested was available and serviceable. The truck was clean and operational. We moved with no issues thanks to this dealer. I would recommend them to anyone.

First time doing U-Haul, and he never explain to me at pick up it’s charged for mileage when returning the U-Haul, he stayed on the phone with someone else the whole time getting it, when returning the U-Haul he then explain to me, I just feel like ahead of time he should of explain the A to Z I would’ve be more prepared and more professional

We talked to Bill at Paige’s Deli (U-Haul) in Boardman, Ohio concerning the gas mileage upon returning the truck. There was a discrepancy in the amount of gas he said was in the truck as opposed to what was actually there. My husband tried to reason with him but it escalated and Bill said we should have taken a picture of the gauge ( unfortunately we did not) because we have never had a problem with any other U-Haul in the city. He argued with my husband until my husband finally told him that he would just put a negative review on social media. Bill said my husband was threatening him (which he wasn’t) and that he would make sure we would be banned from renting with U-Haul worldwide. The truck was dirty, the engine was loud and the shocks were bad. The drive was very rough and I was concerned that it would stop running during the time we had it. Thank God we made it back home safely! We are very displeased with the service Bill provided and will definitely not be recommending his establishment to anyone. It was a very unpleasant experience. Perhaps someone should do a review and see how many other people have complained about him saying the gas is at a certain level on the gauge when in fact it was lower.

I did return the cargo van a half hour earlier but still got charged for two hours and he did question if I put more gas in the vehicle so I did take a picture before I left the parking lot and actually put more in it than there was, and he did charge me for I believe 3 miles more than he quoted, but I thought that would compensated me for being a half hour early I only had the vehicle for one hour and 30 minutes instead of two but the vehicle drove nice and was clean and I returned it just as clean if not cleaner

Truck was not clean at all. Found receipt from 2024 in it along with someone else's glasses. Windows dirty, dash dirty, bed not even swept.

Ask for Bill (owner) and be prepared to take photos. Also using your insurance requires you bring a policy copy or be prepared to pay a one time insurance fee to use a Uhaul policy.

Truck had check engine light and wrench light lit up. Roadside assist told me not to drive it. Second truck also had check engine light on but I had movers waiting on me and I was paying them. The app wouldn't allow me upload photos for second truck. Overall an unpleasant experience.

Less dust , the outside of vehicles clean but inside dusty not good for allergies. Also to be kind and Courteous. I brought truck bk called ahead told them I was at the gas station. But Bill at The UHAL claims there was more gas needed and I asked to let me go bk up the street to the shell to put 5+ more gas because I don’t want it to cost me uhaual gas prices, Bill refuse took possession of my keys and took uhaual key off it told me too Bad and flew through the doors and locked me out, I called UHAL customer service on Bill and He came out side telling me to stop talking loud in front of his store. …Then threaten or and call the police ?? For what🥲 IT WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER. THK You ., for allowing My input. Sincerely Roxanne Clark Pless.

Filthy, stinky interior of truck. Floors were covered in mud. Bald tires. This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with U-HAUL. Walked in business and the owner Bill never said helllo or greeted us. We were a little late picking up and he said “ you almost lost the truck to someone else”. My husband apologized and he actually said “ I could care less, it doesn’t make me a difference. If someone else would have called five seconds ago I would have given it to them.” He never got off his lazy butt to come and inspect the truck upon leaving. When we returned my husband was waiting outside for him to inspect the truck and get the mileage and he just stood there and wouldn’t go out and check it. When asked why he said oh I have another customer coming soon. We weren’t even in our car and then he walked out to inspect it, He was a very rude man. I would never rent from this place again or recommend it to anyone.

I was given the wrong truck, it did not have a ramp. Why would I rent a truck if it did not have the ramp! No one was at the location at the time of pick up.

Get a nicer person. The guy was very rude. The windshield was already cracked when picked up but he blamed us. U-Haul are supposed to be able to return rental to any U-Haul and the guy charged us another $200 because didn't return to Boardman. If you rent from U-Haul, I would recommend finding another place to rent from.

The employee who received my equipment was outstanding. It was a holiday weekend, and my assigned location was quite far away from my ultimate destination. After only a short call to find out if this new location was open, Bill, the employee at the new location, using only my phone number (since I had neglected to give my name or any other details) proactively discovered who I was and did the entire transfer of my account to his new location even prior to my arrival there. When I arrived, everything was ready and Bill quickly and efficiently checked in all of my equipment. The guy was an absolute customer service star!!!

The lady who took my original call suggested a smaller truck for me and it turned out that I actually needed the larger 20 Ft truck I originally requested. Now I have to move the remaining items in my vehicle. The gentleman at the U-Haul dealership more than made up for it though. He was very kind, knowledgeable and very pleasant. The recommended movers were awesome as well.

Customer service was garbage. I was cussed out multiple times. My wife got called and cussed out several times. All because my dad got rushed to the hospital so I was unable to return the truck to the location by 3:30. The guy didn’t even answer the phone the whole day for me to extend reservation. Instead they waited until the day of to tell me it was hardlined to 3:30. Then they redlined the truck and told me they were going to tow it with my stuff in it. So no, my experience with this location was awful. I’ve used U-Haul many many times in the past as spare trucks for my construction company and I’ve never ever had an issue. But now, thanks to this location, I promise I will not be using U-Haul again. I would rather pay extra for a truck and extra price per mile fee to receive better customer service than to ever have to go through this crap again.

There was a random metal object short enough to where it was not visible in the center of the entrance area where you pull the trailers. It scratched my vehicle and I now need to pay to have it fixed. I’m never doing uhaul again
