Vehicles that have been recently worked on for any location may need a little more attention. The cargo van that I wanted to rent had recently been fixed due to it being broken into for the gas to be siphoned but apparently it wasn’t found until I tried pumping gas in that there was a hole in the tank/hose.

First my rental was transferred to a further location after it had been confirmed, it was missing the additional item I had requested, barely had enough gas to get to the drop off point, and then you had the audacity to charge me for the extra mileage. Way to nickel and dime your customers.

The location was fine but your policies are awful. My truck was totally empty of fuel when I picked it up. I got stuck on the highway 1.5 miles after renting it

It was so easy to pick up the truck. The rep was friendly and answered all our questions. The truck was clean and in good shape.

This location has their rentals in a far away back lot. You have to park in front of the hardware store and go inside all the way to the back and wait your turnb amongst folks renting power tools and stuff. They so the uhaul paperwork and then tell you its out back. You have to go find your equipment and take it yourself. I have never rented a large trailer from any UHaul that a rep did not load it and ensure it was connected properly with drag chains, safety brake and the lights working properly. Upon return, I had to go park it where I thought was the right place. Then drive around to the front and go back through the hardware store and wait in line again for someone renting a chain saw. I attempted to call the store from the drop point to see if an attendent would come out and make sure it was in the right spot and equipment was in good condition. I waited on hold for 5 minutes before an employee taking a smoke break saw me and walked over to make sure I wasn't stealing a trailer. He told me he did not work rentals and that I had to go in the store. They need an entry to the rental desk out back where the equipment is located. I will never rent from this location ever again! Its is quicker to drive the extra 5 miles to another location.

I used the truck for 1 trip to the dump that took 2 hours. I was charged for an additional 11 gallons of gas for a 5-10 mile job. An extra 55 dollars. The attendant at the rental vendor told me that they’ve had issues with gas syphoning lately. I need to be refunded for this additional charge or I will be filing a chargeback

I returned the truck with more fuel than when I first start renting it. And they charge me for fuel. This is ridiculous. I call the store and the store staffs couldnot help ir even admit their fault (the didnot closeout correctly on previous rental), and gave me the phone number of manager that didnot pick up phone either. I'll leave a Google Review about this experience if this won't get resolve.

I wasn’t informed that it’s a hardware store, a partner, not a uhaul store. I was given the wrong truck, not the one on my contract.

The only issues I experienced were with the App for turn in. It locked up as I was taking photos and then closed on it's own. When reopening it showed the equipment completely turned in and would not let me complete the process. The employee from Parkrose Hardware said that customers always have issues with the app. They checked the computer and it showed turned in so they said I was good to go. I did take more photos just to ensure I have all bases covered and have an appropriate timestamp with them.

This was not my originally assigned location. I finished with my rental early and was provided this location through assistance from the U-Haul 800 number. My issue with this location is that it was so far away from where I was at. Due to traffic, it literally took almost an hour to get to where this location was for both the truck and again for the car transport. I understand that the original location didn't have room for the car transport, but there were multiple other U-Haul locations that I drove by extremely close to my location and they had plenty of room on their lots. Again, I get that it is situation dependent, but it took hours out of my move time. Then when returning the car transport and the truck, the same issue with the App occurred, in that it would not let me upload any pictures. There was no damage on my part to either the transport or the truck, but I like to have everything documented being we live in a CYA type world. The employees at this location even said that the App is notorious for failing. Other than these two things, it was a great experience and I will still use U-Haul over other providers. While they did send me miles away from where I needed to be to return my equipment, they were extremely helpful the entire time.

Extremely frustrating experience. Extensive communication problems. Overcharged. Truck was unclean. Muddy floors. Drivers door barely closed. Pickup is confusing and took a long time. Drop off was worse. I’ve reached out to management. No word back. I would recommend a real uhaul pickup location. Much better service!

We had two friends fly out from Sacramento to Portland to help move my parents' stuff out of storage. They arrived at the Parkrose Hardware location at 8:30 am. Our friend showed his ID and the confirmation paperwork with the reservation number on it. He was told that there was no truck there. The waited for another 2.5 hours. In the meantime, my husband and I started calling the 800 number. It took 45 minutes to speak to a person who then (after 20 minutes) said that we were at the wrong location. We were not. Then the representative said they were speaking to a "Craig" only to find out from the sales person on site, "Craig" was on vacation. Then, I got the sales person on site and asked to make sure there wasn't a truck on site. He said that the only 26' truck they have is reserved for a Michael D. I said that that was my friend that was standing in front of him that showed him his ID and reservation paperwork. I then asked for a regional manager's number and that regional manager, Jag, began to tell me that I had to give the person the right name. Like this was somehow our fault and not the salesperson, Jay, at Parkrose. This cost us an additional $500 for the guys to spend the night and for their additional time. I am still waiting to hear back about what UHaul is going to do to make this right, but I am sorely disappointed in the level of professionalism and service.
