I booked an online location for pick up in Bayonne. Something was wrong in the system because there is no pick up location in the area and I was hoping to get my truck at 6:00 and conveniently in the area where I live, but i ended up paying for n uber servive to pick up the truck in staten island and return to staten island, it was stressful. Customer representative Brie was able to help me set up the change, in pick up location. But I wish I didnt have to go through all of the stress and tiredness of returning the van in staten island location.

Employees did not know how to do check in-100% on the customer to figure it out. Called for help, first U Haul representative told me I needed to download an app and put me on the phone with another rep who told me I could just go onto the U Haul website. Was on the phone for 45 minutes trying to check in.

I was charged for furniture pads, I did not rent any. I was charged for a utility dolly, I pad the $5 in cash because my contract had already been printed out. That's a $10 overcharge. Also I shouldn't be responsible for the check in fee, I couldn't connect to the link from the location

My experience with UHAUL was not with the location itself, but with UHAUL as a company. I placed a reservation/order online, and by sheer definition of the word, a reservation indicates the product is being held for me to pick up at the specific location I booked at. The day before I received 3 different updates that the location had changed because where I had booked no longer had the trailer I reserved. I had no idea where I'd be going or if I'd even have a trailer the day of my major move, which was extremely stressful! If there is a better option other than UHAUL next time I will be looking elsewhere for my move.

Well when I first arrived at this uhual location they told my my rental was at a different lot and would need to go there to pick it up. I asked how far and they said not far at all. So me and en employee began walking about 15 minutes in the cold. We then reach the lot and he simply points to the truck then turns around leaves. The lot the rental was in was blocked off by another car and I had to call back twice to get help. I ended up waiting 45 minutes for them to figure this out and finally was able to actually drive my truck off the lot

I was lucky to find a parking space for my rental however there is no dedicated parking lot for rentals.

I booked a 15 footer and then I received a call telling me they didn't have that size truck I ended with a 10 footer. I was moving out of state so I had to fit what I could. I ended up throwing my bed away because it didn't fit. You guys need to track the trucks better and not book people for one thing and then give them another. Very upset about this.

Customer service needs to pay more attention to the caller instead of caring a conversation with their coworkers. I had to hang up twice due to lack of response, until a nice lady picked up and walked me though the whole return ordeal.

When I returned the vechile to payless auto repair they checked the equipment and provided me with a total and confirmed that was all that will be charged. The next day they charged an additional $30.25 on my debit card. This is ridiculous and unprofessional to charge more after the confirmed amount and final receipt was given. I have called the location and there has been no explanation. I will be calling my bank .

I scheduled an 8AM pick-up, I arrived at 7:55AM and the auto repair place did not open until 8:15AM, I was not able to leave with the truck until close to 9AM, still had to get the trick back at 1:00PM, as I initially promised yet my hour that was lost interrupted everything and gave me the worst possible experience moving today. The moving helpers were waiting, my building supervisorcpuld notice me the express elevator a d it was an overall very unfortunate experience. For more information I will be glad to speak with a representative. I must say the equipment (truck) was reliable as always.

This was not our requested or reserved location and was far out of our way. When we arrived the truck was not there. We wanted to pick it up but the vendor insisted we wait for it, over an hour.

151 victory blvd. All renters need to check vans for damage. I paid for the insurance, never looked for damage on driver's side because truck was parked against the fence. Even with paying the insurance the charged me $150.00.

Returning the U-haul vehicle to this location was frustrating and infuriating!! The personnel were rude and seemed to not want to accept the vehicle. One of the employees shouted at me to move the vehicle to an area that was cramped and unsafe as it was very close to a major roadway. The other employee did not seem to want to deal with us, did not speak and walked away. Finally, I just left the key on the desk telling the employee that it was there. No response from him. This was a total reverse of my experience with pick-up in PA.

The van was in mechanically good shape but the inside of the van smelled like vomit. It would have been nice to be given a van with a full tank instead of 1/4 full. I had to go to a gas station to add gas before moving and estimate how much I would need. I actually added too much, returning the tank at 1/2 full. When I rent a car, it is always given to me with a full tank--much easier to return full.

Poor customer service, truck didn't have a full tank of gas, truck needs mechanical work such as brakes and wheel alignment, back door lock was broken so I couldn't even lock the truck. It was just a terrible experience I don't even want another rental from uhaul.

Had an 8am reservation - owner was late and didn't get there until 830am. We didn't get our vehicle until past 9am which interfered with our plans that day. Terrible experience

The gas readings are incorrect. you charged me incorrectly. I gave you more gas than I had when I picked the vehicle. I will be making a Better Business Bureau complaint. I should not have been charged any money for gas. i took photos and it is times stamped. i will be making a complaint to the BBB and to Uhal.

Key ring said DIESEL ONLY in giant letters, so I drove around for 20 minutes looking for diesel. Then the gas station attendant tells me "no, this is definitely not a diesel van." So I wasted time, gas, and money on mileage due to your error.

It is a very convenient location for my area and that made it most appealing to me for the drop off. Though I was charged for 2 days, I was called several times about when I was going to drop it off the morning prior to its being due which was interesting given I still had another full day to use the truck! BUT I didn't need it and was only a few miles over so I was glad to drop it off that morning. I do want to specifically thank the manager who did not charge me for the mattress box I inadvertently left in the back of the truck in my haste to get it back! THANK YOU!!!

The Van I was clean however a new rubber carpet was installed and it was very toxic and I had to drive from NY to DE with the windows wide open the whole trip. It was 80 degrees and I was unable to use the air conditioner and not happy with my hair blowing in my face.

U-Haul should really have some kind of consistency in their policies between pick up and drop off locations specifically regarding re-fueling requirements. I returned the truck with 9/16 of a tank of fuel but was hassled (nicely) for not having 5/8 as was on the contract. But the man at the pick up location says Pennsylvania policy is to allow some leeway on that but in New York this is not the case. In any case, customers shouldn't be required to add extra fuel when they didn't start off with extra fule to begin with. 5/8 is 5/8 and 9/16 is 9/16. At current fuel prices I'm not particularly inclined to be so generous as to pay extra for what I didn't use. That being said, I'll still use U-Haul cause you're reliable and friendly.
