It just felt a little shady when he didn’t want to check the vehicle in in my presence. And thee high amount of gas charged for a vehicle that was only driven 10 miles and never idled I later found out the insurance was optional after it was all said and done

What personnel? There is no one at the location, and it's in downtown Newport in a seedy area. I stand by what I said in the pickup comments--this company has gone so far to grab money that they have virtually no employees, no customer service, and God in His mercy help you if you can't follow the sketchy clues on how to drop off everything and catalogue your return PERFECTLY for the company you just paid handsomely to borrow a truck.

Everything was good until I needed to just rent a appliance dolly on December 5th and they said they don't just rent appliance dolly out. So I had to go find another dealer that would and someone told me that this place doesn't like to play in sandbox like others do. Lol

CALLED TO MAKE A RESERVATION, A DAY OR SO AFTER, I CALLED THE PICK UP LOCATION ( THE SIGN SHOP, LOCATION #1 ) TO BE POSITIVE A TRAILER WAS AVAILABLE. I WAS TOLD BY THE EMPLOYEE THAT THEY DO “ NOT “ DO TRAILERS, AND NEVER HAVE!!! SO I CALLED RESERVATIONS BACK AGAIN. THEY GAVE ME ANOTHER PICK UP LOCATION AND PHONE NUMBER SO I CALLED THEM. ( PIONEER STORAGE, LOCATION #2 ) MADE THE RESERVATION AND THEY ACTUALLY CHECKED TO BE SURE A TRAILER WAS ON THE PROPERTY. NOW WE DRIVE 1000 MILES, ENFIELD CT. TO NEWPORT TN. LOOK OVER A VEHICLE BEFORE WE PURCHASED IT. WELL, WE BUY THE VEHICLE AND THEN GO TO PICK UP THE TRAILER. WHILE WE WERE GETTING READY TO HOOK UP, I NOTICED THAT 1 OF THE TIRES WAS FLAT!!!, THEY MADE A FEW CALLS AND FOUND OUT ( 1 WEEK AFTER RESERVATIONS HADE BEEN MADE AND CONFIRMED ) THE TRAILER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE TAKEN OUT OF INVENTORY BECAUSE SPARES WERE UNAVAILABLE!!!!! NOW, WE ARE 1000 MILES AWAY FROM HOME, JUST PURCHASED AND PAID FOR A VEHICLE THAT WE HAVE GONE THROUGH HELL TO FIND A TRAILER AND LOCK IN RESERVATIONS FOR ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE RENTED BECAUSE NO ONE HAS A SPARES TIRE. I SNAPPED.!!!!! THE WOMAN AT PIONEER STORAGE MADE A FEW CALLS AND FOUND A BOSS OR UPPER MANAGEMENT THAT WAS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF THE ISSUE AND FIND US A TRAILER. HE CALLED BACK AND WE WERE TOLD TO GO TO JUST 1 MORE LOCATION, ( PEDDLERS PAWN, LOCATION #3 ) SO OFF WE GO. YES, PEDDLERS PAWN HAD A TRAILER, YES, ALL 4 TIRES LOOKED GREAT, SO WE GO INTO THE STORE WAIT OUR TURN TO TALK WITH THE PERSON IN CHARGE AND “ NO “, NO ONE HAD CALLED TO LET HIM KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! I CALLED BACK TO PIONEER STORAGE TO LET THEM KNOW THAT SOMEONE DROPPED THE BALL ( SEEMS TO BE A NORMAL THING AT U-HAUL ) AND THEY NEED TO FIX THIS ASAP, WE HAD ALREADY WASTED OVER 2.5 HRS WITH THIS MESS. AFTER A TOTAL OF A 1/2 DAY, BOUNCING BETWEEN LOCATIONS, 5 OR 6 PHONE CALLS DUE TO INCOMPETENCE AND HAVING MY BLOOD PRESSURE IN THE HIGH 3 DIDGIT NUMBERS ON BOTH SIDES, THE GUY AT PEDDLERS PAWN LOCKED UP THE STORE, CAME OUT TO BE SURE WE HOOKED UP THE TRAILER CORRECTLY, HANDED US OUR PAPERWORK AND SENT US ON OUR WAY!!!! ALL OF THIS TOOK PLACE IN NEWPORT TENNESSEE, YES, NEWPORT DID GET HIT WITH THE FLOOD WATERS AND EVERYONES LIFES GOT TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, “ BUT “ I HAD CALLED 2 TIMES PRIOR TO MAKING THE TRIP TO BE SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK, AND TO MAKE MATTERS EVEN WORSE, THE LAZY INCOMPETENT PEOPLE AT RESERVATIONS “ NEVER “ MADE THE CHECK IN CALL TO ME THE DAY BEFORE PICK UP THAT THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD DO. THE TRAILER WAS A DECENT PIECE, THE DROP AT MANCHESTER CT. WENT FINE AND THE TRIP IS NOW OVER. ALL IN ALL, I WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY “ NEVER “ GO THROUGH RESERVATIONS AGAIN, AND JUST USE MY OWN TRAILER.

I returned the U-Haul to this location because my delivery location changed. I was charged extra for not delivering it to their selected location. Their selected location was over 100 miles from my original location even though there was a closer U-Haul location.

Worst truck I have ever rented. They should not have rented it. I will never use uhaul again! The truck was dirty had trash in it. None of the fluids wete checked. It broke down and had to get a transload.

I am going to say that whoever you "modeled" the driver seating position(s) after must not be any taller than 5"5'. I am not very tall myself, 5"9' & it was horribly uncomfortable to drive. Once the seat was scooted away from the steering wheel there was still 3-5 inches of empty space behind the seat that is just being wasted. The position of the pedals as well. The whole inside cab needs to be altered from the way it is.

Guy was slow as heck inspecting the truck. He came in finally and informed me I was being charged for being low on fuel. My truck was picked up with 3/8 tank and returned the same fuel amount. I took picture of dash that clearly shows amount in tank at return. The guy didn't offer me any receipt for the extra fuel charge nor even tell me how much it was! I'm very upset over this. When we spent $2100 to rent this truck one way and then have this BS I find it unacceptable. The guy was unwilling to do anything!

I rent ur trailers a lot an I always bring the back clean an I wa bout 45 min late awas charged for a whole another day but that's my fault the cleaning fee is not right I swept an cleaned it out so I'm very dissatisfied that I was charged for cleaning when it was returned clean I will never go back to that location

The people were nice and friendly but didn’t do the typical walk around which I found strange. The radio on was stuck on 1 (loud) volume, would not change channel and would not turn off. Otherwise everything was good.

Your prices are way to expensive for a tow dolly when I can rent an entire truck from you for 19.99. This is not the locations fault they did great and went above and beyond this is uhauls problem.

LADY SENT ME TO ANOTHER LOCATION TO PICK UP THE TRAILER AFTER CONFIRMIMING BOTH AT ONE LOCATION. SHE STATED THE THE FUEL WAS FULL .....NOT TRUE, I WENT TO THE FIRST LOCATION FOR FULL LESS THAN 1 MILE AND FILLED THE FUEL TANK. IT COST ME $57.00 US DOLLARS. AS I WAS PICKING MY TRUCK UP. A YOU GUY WAS RETURNING A TRUCK AFTER HE RENTED IT, AND DROVE SEVERAL MILES AND WAS NOT CHARGED FOR ANYTHING. THIS LOCATION IS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY.

We ended up dropping the truck off same day, just late at night. Couldn’t find the drop box for the key so we decided to just park it and take the key with us to return in the morning. I was woken up the next morning to a phone call from a very rude irate employee from the store stating the truck was left without a key. When I tried to explain that I didn’t see the drop box he immediately cut me off and rudely said that it was on the garage beside the building and didn’t understand why I couldn’t find it. (Again it was dark, the garage is dark colored and not illuminated well). I apologized to him and told him I would be there in ten minutes. Upon arrival I apologized to him again and explained to him that the website hadn’t worked for me all day to check in upon pick up, verify the conditions after getting the key, or to check the truck back in. He told me that he would deal with it. The truck had less fuel in it than the contract stated upon pick up and was filled back to that point. I made sure the truck was clean before returning it as well. I attempted to call uhaul when I left to make sure I wouldn’t be charged the $20 for them having to check the truck in or for the fuel that wasn’t in there when I got the truck. I got an email five minutes after leaving the parking lot stating I was charged for fuel, the truck being dirty, and a check in fee.
