I am 70 and had to hook up the trailer my self. This is a one person operated convince store and I had to wait while others were helped durning my check in. This was the second time we were sent to this location, our first choice was Destin towing who did not have our reserved trailer.Alfred R.

The truck I rented gave me issues from day one. I had to get a jump start 2 times and the vehicle's battery/starter issues only persisted form there, I had to drive across country, all while having to "white knuckle" may way through cities because I could never get a full charge from my cell phone for the port because of the electrical issues, getting turned around 6 time and putting me behind my schedule by 6 hoursjasmine M.

We tried to return the rental trailer for two days prior to dropping it off on early Monday morning, Oct. 19th. We received no help, but were only told to take it to the adjacent field,disconnect and leave the equipment. It was a struggle in the weeds, but we got it done. We returned to the store counter to complete the formalities and receive paperwork that the rental had been returned. The person in charge asked for the main contact phone number and stated that's all he needed. No paperwork. However, two days later we received noticed of a late charge of $ 59.64. We called U-Haul to rectify the illegitimate charge. U-Haul tells us that "they" will have to reverse this charge, meaning the person who delayed the return processing will be the one who has to do this. U-Haul literally passed the buck. We'll see what happens, but we can tell you if this charge is not reversed, it will be put in dispute with the credit card company of record. It will not be paid. Let's do this the easy and appropriate way. No more mishandling.Richard H.
Took 25 minutes for someone that could issue the uhaul to show up and then another 35 to rent a truck to the customer that showed up before me. Only had 6 blankets instead of the 12 I paid for. Took an hour when it should have taken 5-10 minutes. Terrible.Charles C.

I wasn't able to drop off my truck to the closest location to me, Affordable Climate Mini Storage, when I finished unloading. Mike was also extremely helpful when I dropped off my first truck and trailer. I was sent to Petro a few miles down the road. Not a big deal after 2 long days, but it was still one more thing I had to deal with that day. The lady at Petro moved the drop off right along, and I was on my way.JAMES B.

This location should not be a dealer. They are too busy selling cigarettes, beer and lottery tickets to be bothered to set up the sale for the customer. I had to find the vehicle in the lot and drive it out. Then I had to go to another lot to connect the car transport, all with no help from the people there. And, they not check the equipment; I had to go back in and ask for the moving blankets. They did not care and could not be bothered with a U-Haul contract and customer.Jeremy S.

I had a terrible experience with this location. We received the trailer with only 10 blankets that were thrown in. Unfolded and completely filled with dirt and sticks. We had to wait over an hour to get the trailer even when we had it scheduled ahead. The only 6x12 trailer in the area. A huge issue that we ran into was that the trailer was bouncing around. I thankfully had a gentleman who drives trailers for a living. The tires were filled up past the recommended 65PSI! So dangerous... We had to lower the air to 45/50PSI and it ran beautifully. I am upset that we called 3 times and could not get a representative on the phone when I had purchased road side assistance. Everything worked out fine but I believe this man should not be allowed to rent uhauls out. He does not care whatsoever. The original person I rented from at Moll drive was incredible and gave us his phone number to call because this gas station has such a poor reputation. Rightfully so.. I have worked with Uhaul a few times before and have had amazing experiences. I truly believe this gas station should not be allowed to ruin the company name. I do not leave reviews or negative experiences but I seriously would not give this place even 1 star...Carolyn S.

The Petro Gas Station was where I was sent after the closest location didn't have any place for me to park my trailer. The person working the gas station counter was on his cell phone and couldn't be bothered to help. The gate leading to the parking area for the uhauls has been run over as well.Richard B.
Order called for moving blankets and dolly to be placed in truck at pickup. No dolly was there and the clerk brought blankets out of back room and dropped them in front of me to carry out myself. He did not show where the truck was so I had to roam around the lot to find it. He changed my return location (without discussion) to a location at least 90 miles away, which I changed back with a phone call to U-Haul main number. Waited over 40 min. To get a trailer. The clerk was waiting on lottery and cigarettes buyers. When I asked if he could finish my transaction. The clerk told me his store busy was his first job and Iu haul was second. He waited on 15-20 people before me. Clerk didn't help hook up trailer. Thank God I brought my son in law. Wire harness was taped. I'll never use uhaul again if I see they still let this location service. Uhaul. Horrible place. I was a paying customer. We had problems before we got to this place. We were suppose to pick the truck up in Crestview, but no one was there nor was a uhaul truck. We had to go 40 miles out of our way to get this truck from Niceville and was only given 20 extra miles. Plus we wasted 3 hours trying to get the truck that I had booked 2 weeks in advance and already paid for. Plus, I was not given the discount that I was promised because of having to go somewhere else to pick up another truck.Rhonda O.

My paperwork, contract, and online info said to drop off the trailer at Commanders Mini Storage. There was a Uhaul sign out front so I pulled into the lot. It was very small, poorly maintained, and had several piles of what appeared to be trash from units that had been cleared out. When I called the number listed, the owner told me to pull across the street to Petro Gas Station. This had not been communicated in any way previously. By that time, I could not manuver the truck and auto transport out of the lot. I had to unhitch the auto transport on my own, and drive the truck across the street where there was no space to park. The "staff" was 1 man working the gas station and was not at all helpful. I doubt I will rent with uhaul again after this experience.Matthew T.

U-haul customer service agent was also the gas station and convenience store clerk. Ladies were nice but not helpful with helping to connect trailer. Trailer was dirty inside. I returned it clean. No one inspected the trailer before I left after dropping it off which left me a bit worried. Turned out fine.Barry M.
I did not get to pick up the truck at the location requested. When I got the truck I could not put gas in the tank, it all went on the ground. It took many hours to get a replacement truck and had to extend the reservation an extra day. I will not use U-haul again.Janet C.
I was clear in saying how long I needed the trailer. I stated I would drop the trailer off in Tampa on July 16. When I paid, I was shown the delivery date on the contract and the amount to pay. When I returned the trailer I was charged another $240 and asked why. Apparently the contract was only for 3 days and $20 each additional day. This was not explained at all.Christopher T.

It took hours to get the Auto Transport even though I had a reservation. I made a reservation on-line a week in advance. However, when I arrived the lady told me she couldn't rent me the AT even though she sees my reservation in the system. There was something about the tow rating of my truck not being compatible with your system. After almost an hour of trying she told me I would have to find a different vehicle to tow the AT. (This was curious to me because I just rented an AT to tow the same car from Atlanta, GA to Niceville, FL and was using the same truck. All with no issues on-line, in Atlanta, nor in Niceville.) I drove all the way home, made a new reservation on-line and then called the 800 number to ensure the location would honor this reservation. I returned to the location but this time a different lady told me she also couldn't rent me the AT because of the same incompatibility with the tow rating of my truck. She had me call the 800 number to straighten out the issues rather than her calling herself. The rep on the phone said everything is good in the system and she couldn't figure out why there was a problem. Eventually the lady at the location resolved the issue by "overriding things in the computer" but then told me she didn't show any ATs available because someone else had another reservation in the system. Again, I called the 800 number in an attempt to resolve this SNAFU and while I was on the phone with your rep the lady said "Oh the other reservation in the system is you, so we don't need the U-Haul rep on the phone after all." After another 1/2 hour of her manipulating her tablet she finally provided me with the paperwork for the rental. However she said, "I don't know how to hook it to your truck so you will have to do that yourself." This was not an issue as I've rented ATs from U-Haul numerous times in the past, but this was the first time no one went into the yard with me to help guide my ball under the tongue of the trailer, check that all the chains and wires were connected correctly, and help me ensure all the lights were working properly. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a trailer from U-Haul. IT took over two hours to get the AT which has taken less than 15 minutes at other locations. It appears the main issue with this rental - and another rental I've had in the past - is your system doesn't allow for the towing option on my truck. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road with the optional towing package. This option adds a transmission cooler, oil cooler, and a beefier tow hitch which provides a 6,700 pound towing capacity for the truck. In your system you have the Tacoma Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Super Cab, you also have 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive, but you do not have an option for the TRD Off-Road with the optional towing package. When your reps manipulate your system they all tell me their system doesn't show 5,000 pound towing as available on my '05 TacAllen H.
