Order called for moving blankets and dolly to be placed in truck at pickup. No dolly was there and the clerk brought blankets out of back room and dropped them in front of me to carry out myself. He did not show where the truck was so I had to roam around the lot to find it. He changed my return location (without discussion) to a location at least 90 miles away, which I changed back with a phone call to U-Haul main number. The entire experience was entirely unacceptable.

Waited over 40 min. To get a trailer. The clerk was waiting on lottery and cigarettes buyers. When I asked if he could finish my transaction. The clerk told me his store busy was his first job and Iu haul was second. He waited on 15-20 people before me. Clerk didn’t help hook up trailer. Thank God I brought my son in law. Wire harness was taped. I’ll never use uhaul again if I see they still let this location service. Uhaul. Horrible place. I was a paying customer. I pd more than a lottery ticket, beer or cigarettes purchases.

the one attendant in a gas station offered no help other than just park it over there. disconnecting the trailer was not a problem but lifting it off the hitch was nearly impossible alone. Your website and all call centers should tell the customer what they face on a return.

We had problems before we got to this place. We were suppose to pick the truck up in Crestview, but no one was there nor was a uhaul truck. We had to go 40 miles out of our way to get this truck from Niceville and was only given 20 extra miles. Plus we wasted 3 hours trying to get the truck that I had booked 2 weeks in advance and already paid for. Plus, I was not given the discount that I was promised because of having to go somewhere else to pick up another truck.

Customer service was abysmal. The person I had to talk to in order to get my trailer was talking on the phone the entire time and asked me to check in online instead of checking me out in person. I works have purchased a receiver and ball from him, but didn’t want to give him any more business.

Site was at a gas station and the attendant was super nice; however, when it came to attaching my the auto transport she could not leave the store. I could not lift the trailer myself, nor could i guide myself to backing the truck up very easily. I ended up having to ask a random person that was putting gas in their own car to help.

My paperwork, contract, and online info said to drop off the trailer at Commanders Mini Storage. There was a Uhaul sign out front so I pulled into the lot. It was very small, poorly maintained, and had several piles of what appeared to be trash from units that had been cleared out. When I called the number listed, the owner told me to pull across the street to Petro Gas Station. This had not been communicated in any way previously. By that time, I could not manuver the truck and auto transport out of the lot. I had to unhitch the auto transport on my own, and drive the truck across the street where there was no space to park. The "staff" was 1 man working the gas station and was not at all helpful. I doubt I will rent with uhaul again after this experience.

I reserved a trailer but when I got to the location, my reservation was not in the system. It took an hour to get the trailer, since the store clerk waited on other customers and me at the same time. I was an hour late getting started with my move...I was not happy

U-haul customer service agent was also the gas station and convenience store clerk. Ladies were nice but not helpful with helping to connect trailer. Trailer was dirty inside. I returned it clean. No one inspected the trailer before I left after dropping it off which left me a bit worried. Turned out fine.

I did not get to pick up the truck at the location requested. When I got the truck I could not put gas in the tank, it all went on the ground. It took many hours to get a replacement truck and had to extend the reservation an extra day. I will not use U-haul again.

I was clear in saying how long I needed the trailer. I stated I would drop the trailer off in Tampa on July 16. When I paid, I was shown the delivery date on the contract and the amount to pay. When I returned the trailer I was charged another $240 and asked why. Apparently the contract was only for 3 days and $20 each additional day. This was not explained at all.

It took hours to get the Auto Transport even though I had a reservation. I made a reservation on-line a week in advance. However, when I arrived the lady told me she couldn't rent me the AT even though she sees my reservation in the system. There was something about the tow rating of my truck not being compatible with your system. After almost an hour of trying she told me I would have to find a different vehicle to tow the AT. (This was curious to me because I just rented an AT to tow the same car from Atlanta, GA to Niceville, FL and was using the same truck. All with no issues on-line, in Atlanta, nor in Niceville.) I drove all the way home, made a new reservation on-line and then called the 800 number to ensure the location would honor this reservation. I returned to the location but this time a different lady told me she also couldn't rent me the AT because of the same incompatibility with the tow rating of my truck. She had me call the 800 number to straighten out the issues rather than her calling herself. The rep on the phone said everything is good in the system and she couldn't figure out why there was a problem. Eventually the lady at the location resolved the issue by "overriding things in the computer" but then told me she didn't show any ATs available because someone else had another reservation in the system. Again, I called the 800 number in an attempt to resolve this SNAFU and while I was on the phone with your rep the lady said "Oh the other reservation in the system is you, so we don't need the U-Haul rep on the phone after all." After another 1/2 hour of her manipulating her tablet she finally provided me with the paperwork for the rental. However she said, "I don't know how to hook it to your truck so you will have to do that yourself." This was not an issue as I've rented ATs from U-Haul numerous times in the past, but this was the first time no one went into the yard with me to help guide my ball under the tongue of the trailer, check that all the chains and wires were connected correctly, and help me ensure all the lights were working properly. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had renting a trailer from U-Haul. IT took over two hours to get the AT which has taken less than 15 minutes at other locations. It appears the main issue with this rental - and another rental I've had in the past - is your system doesn't allow for the towing option on my truck. I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road with the optional towing package. This option adds a transmission cooler, oil cooler, and a beefier tow hitch which provides a 6,700 pound towing capacity for the truck. In your system you have the Tacoma Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Super Cab, you also have 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive, but you do not have an option for the TRD Off-Road with the optional towing package. When your reps manipulate your system they all tell me their system doesn't show 5,000 pound towing as available on my '05 Tac

Im not happy with the limited large trucks available in the area. We had to take the only thing available which naturally was the smallest box truck and because of this had to make 3 trips whereas one trip would have sufficed! At .79 a mile this cost me 145.00!!!!! If you have limited trucks and no others available I think a brak on mileage price should be cut at least in half. As we would have gladly rented the largest. Instead of 2 to 3 hours , it took us 6 hours of paying help!

The person that served me was on the phone. Also didn't tell me about a special rate for one day rental plus less than 30 miles. He over charged me but he did not give me a receipt so I could not challenge it. Trash was in the truck & only had half a tank of fuel.

Terrible customer service. Whenever I have a need for truck or trailer rental U-haul is my go to. This location the the person did not care and was lazy. Made me do the reservation on my phone as I was staniding in the store. “Do it on your phone so I don’t have to do anything “ are his exact words. We received no assistance connecting and disconnecting. He pointed to the trailer jack and left me to connect by myself. I’m now one to get upset easily but this experience was atrocious. What if my wife went by herself and received no help? I love Uhaul as an overall company and the service they offer. This location is a disgrace to the Uhaul brand. Rest assure I’m go to a different location for my truck or trailer rentals in the future.

Out of all the places in Florida... this was the only place that had a truck that I could use to travel across the country last minute that I found on my own because customer serviceay the toll free number sucks... the truck was filthy. Had cigarette ashes all over the place. I would not rent from this location again or recommend.

I needed help taking my car off the trailer and the trailer off the truck, but no one at the location would help me. I called Uhaul and they would not help me either ("just Youtube it"). I could have hurt myself or damaged my car. Uhaul should have asked at some point whether I need a drop off location that offered service for people who are not comfortable unhitching a trailer, etc.

Very little room to maneuver. No real organization to the layout. Convenience store cashiers double as UHaul agents, helped but were distracted by store customers. First trailer took her ~10 minutes to do the paperwork, next one the guy wrote it down and that was it.

I reserved the truck to pick up on Racetrack Rd in Ft Walton which was convenient to the move destination however had to drive several more miles during morning commute traffic to pick the truck up at this alternative location. I had hired helpers and had to pay them beginning at 8:00 but we were late. I had no choice as the email I received the night before didn’t allow a reply and the helpers weren’t in the office on Sunday night so I could inform them. Bad business!

The truck ran well. However, the passenger side mirror assembly was very loose, causing the mirror to twist and turn and making it virtually useless, and therefore dangerous when driving as I could not see anything on my right-hand side. This should have been repaired prior to my renting the truck.

The staff there was not kind. I was the only customer in the store when I first arrived. I was told from the cashier that she had to help her customers I needed to step to the side. I felt like I wasn’t as important as her other customers who was buying beer, lottery, and cigarettes. I was on a time schedule and was late to pick up my furniture after dealing with the cashier and manager. I will not recommend to anyone. If they didn’t want to help U-Haul customers they should not have U-Haul there. Very unprofessional.

I’ve had nothing but great service out of uhaul over the years. But not this time. The owner(I assume) of the store was rude and demanding. The guy charged my card without asking. The trucks were filthy and beat up. There was nowhere to park. All around bad experience. I’ll still rent from uhaul but never again from this location.

Business owner was only one present at location and was overwhelmed with receiving store stock, handling customers, and delivering U-Haul rental equipment. Felt it took lots of time from my arrival at the rental location to the time I was driving off premises with my U-Haul rental trailer.

Upon arrival to drop off, the attendant notified us that the lot was full and they could no longer accept returns. She told us to call uhaul ourselves and figure it out. The customer service person told us to drive 20+ miles to drop it off. When we refused she wasn’t happy and opened a case. Haven’t heard of it was resolved. Worst customer experience ever with Uhaul.

Only ome guy was working at this UHaul/Gas Station/Convenience store when I arrived. He had absolutely no clue how to sign out UHaul equipment. I prechecked in online before arriving and it took over 30 minutes to get my equipment. He had to call a manager three times on the phone for assistance. He also quit helping me on countless occasions so he could ring up gas/convenience items. Finally, he assigned me a trailer that they didn’t even have on the lot!! Recommend that during hours they are open to check out UHAul, that a minimum of 2 employees be on site at all times.

It took 1hour and a half to get a car hauler. It was a gas station with gas & beer with one person doing it all. It was not the lady fault she had no help. The owner of the gas station is at fault for not having her help.

The drop off was a complete hassle. Instead of being able to use the local uhaul location I had to return to a location 12 miles away and pay $16 in tolls. Totally unnecessary action in uhauls part. I will look for other sources next time. Not a fan of your return policy!!.

A little help would be great. No help hooking up or finding trailer. I accidentally hooked up the wrong trailer because the one in the contract wasn’t even there. The attendee told me the incorrect place to get the trailer. The truck and trailer were the biggest pieces of junk I’ve ever seen and one trailer light didn’t work and ended up getting pulled over after driving across the entire country unsafely.

When I made the reservation I did not choose the damage insurance. When I came into pick up the vehicle I was charged for the insurance. When I asked the person working the counter about this he had me sign a form to decline the insurance and told me that it would be taken off after I returned the vehicle. It was not taken off and I was charged for the insurance. I emailed the station about this and no response. It is a scam.

Teach the employees what it means to serve the public!! I didn't have a clue where to find the truck I wanted to rent, it wasn't out front where the owner of the convenience store told me it would be. I had to walk back into the storage lot in the dark to find the right truck by matching the key number to the truck number ..... in the dark also. The windshield was so dirty I had to stop and wipe it clean on the inside to see out of the glass. Everything else was average, The young man who was tending the store when I picked up the truck had no idea where I should drop it off so he told me that I could drop it "anywhere there was a U-haul dealer" and to take a photo of it sitting in front of the store! ?? He was constantly interrupting our conversation to take care of gas and food and beer customers while I waited for him to get done selling lottery tickets and joking with people he knew. 2 big thumbs DOWN for Petro Gas Station!!
