Wasn’t ready, couldn’t USE it! Because if negligence and I was charged full price
Elizabeth AOnly 3 starts because the system at the location was down and I had to call Uhaul customer service and it took almost one hour to get the reservation done. Plus, uhaul advertisements are a lie. They advertising a truck for 19.99 at day but they charge xtra for insurance and mileage. I ended up paying almost 90 dollars.
Antonio RNot overcharging for equipment that is advertised and cheaper at othegr stores. Will not use this outlet again.
RICKY HUhaul ripped me off, The extras i paid for, were not there when I picked up the truck. I have not received any refund, but they sure charged me for another day when I brought the truck back late.

COOPER SSet up a pick up date to reserve truck and trailer from location 10 minutes from my home in Round Lake and had to pick up at Zion location that was nearly an hour from my home when I could have set up a reservation at the McHenry location that was fifteen minutes from my home that no representative from U-Haul that I spoke with previous of rental pickup told me for an alternative, also had pads, appliance dolly and tie downs available at the McHenry location that the Zion location did not supply. Had to go to McHenry location to get supplies needed to make my move any way. On my travel to Kentuckey ran into some weather, that's when found rental truck could have used new wiper blades? Also its 2025 could you at least put Sirius Radio in your vehicles?
ROGER DThe Guy that checked me out was very kind but working alone & had several customers. He helped unlock the back. I walked back in with him to complete the transaction, received the keys, noticed the equipment purchased wasn’t in the trunk. Walked back to the store to get all equipment. While defrosting the truck, noticed the rubber surrounding window was off & rear view mirror on driver side was cracked. Unsure if it was because of the weather, couldn’t adjust either mirror. Thank God I didn’t have to travel far. Took photos of all I stated. Maybe if you all wasn’t short staffed, the gentleman that checked me out wouldn’t been able to take time to investigate the truck before I pulled out. Have a Happy New Year and God’s Blessings!
PAMELA LIt was great. They have a slow computer so I got on the road about 45 minutes after my appointment. Loved that they did the hookup. Worth it.

LASHAWN CGet rid of the nonsense of the customer having to take pictures of the unit, and registering the fuel levels, etc. online. This is something your employee should do and you already have a lot of that information anyway. I was late for an appointment because I hadn’t anticipated having to do any of that nonsense. Also, I don’t see why I should have to do your employees job.

SAADAT UI waited at customer service for a long time and didn’t see the person working in an alcove not visible from the front of service desk. He was not the regular UHaul guy and seemed a little unsure so I told him I would check the trailer in with the app and just wanted to know where to put the dolly. I put the trailer next to the very visible line of trucks, but it apparently was supposed to go on the opposite side of the building on an unmarked strip of grass. The guy said it was fine and he’d have someone move it. Easy access to this location.

MARVIN PThis location made drive 10 miles out of my way because my pickup location was changed. The floor board of the truck was full of dirt and there were candy wrappers tucked in the seat fold by the seat belt. The location did not have the furniture dolly i reserved but said I could drive 20 miles for it. Their uhaul system was down so I had to check in online. The truck only had 1/8 of a tank of gas, so my whole trip started having to stop for gas. All and all, I was over an hour and a half with what should have taken me 15. Not a positive experience.

TRINA TI would have given a 5 star excellent rating but my rental had a mechanical concern that if I wasn't so pressed to keep a schedule I would have exchanged the truck. Also holding the 5 star rating back was the cleanliness, it was pretty satisfactory but still had remnants from the previous use which I cleaned upon my return. Over all it was my expectations were exceeded.

joseph cpeople in customer service work for Piggly Wiggly and offer the worst service, racists with African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and Jews is my personal opinion. Most of them don't live in Illinois, they are from Wisconsin, another state closes in Illinois. They refuse to answer questions or have any doubts, and don't want to provide final check out paperwork. They mistreat the customer, the owner of the store, he is a nice person and is aware of the situation but I don't see any improvement and he rents the Uhaul license and they don't represent Uhaul corporate. In my experience one of the female employees raised their voice to me and refused to inspect the vehicle, another female employee made a comment that I didn't request like "every time you extend your reservation you f...... other people" that was an inappropriate comment. when I returned the vehicle the next day. one of the older female employees when I asked why they charged me more days she charged her voice for sarcastic voice from other customers. A male employee was rude and asked me to leave the store because he didn't want to explain to me the final charges. Stay away from this place. Very racist people with African Americans, Asians, Hispanics and Jewish people. They don't provide good customer service for those people.. My personal opinion.

Daniel BI had to drive an hour and 10 minutes to get the trailer and the same on the way back. This really inconvenienced me with time and money.
Chris WWe scheduled this pick up weeks in advance but our pick up location was changed. Then we had to wait for the trailer to be delivered to Zion from Antioch. It could have just as easily been delivered to Lincolnshire to make the customer experience the priority.

Sandra AThis is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a U-Haul company. It was very unprofessional and unorganized. My reservation was given away twice, they stated someone got a U-Haul in my name and was unable to tell me how that was possible and how they picked it up. They then switched it to someone made a mistake with information and mixed it up. They also charged me for a 20ft U-Haul and was only able to give me a 10. This was the absolute worst experience as well as the staff aside from the drop off. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

alan tWhile it was not a bad experience, it took forever to get help at the front desk located in Piggly Wiggly. I guess it's just a sign of the times, since many places are lacking the number of workers to attend to people. Overall, once someone was able to help me with my questions, she did a pretty good job of answering the main most.

Matthew SI was overcharged. The fuel gauge was read wrong, and I was charged for it. I put 20.00 in the tank before returning it and I only drove 41 miles. I was promised a refund of the gas charge if I provided a receipt for the gas. All I got was $19.95 back.
