Attendant at Pinole U-Haul spot was great. Truck itself was standard U-Haul mess. Truck bed door was open, cab of truck messy and dirty seats, dash, floor of truck. Truck availability was Terrible, we live in oakland, had to come 20 miles to Pinole for the truck. The location itself was a gas station, simple easy process. Truck photos were not up to date. When I rented the truck, contract number: 96201533 from this location, I did not get receipt. They got my email incorrectly. My correct email was: email@example.com. I used the truck for 2 and half hours on 7/28/2020 from 2:23 pm. After that I returned right away the same day @ 5:00 pm. I gave the key back to attendant and he said they would send me an email to confirm. No email received because obviously they got my email incorrectly. And they charged me extra $20 plus tax, $21.70 for after hour. How could be after hour while the attendant was there. I used the truck less than 3 hours, less than 24 hours contract. After hour charge $21.70 was invalid charged. I called UHAUL to complain, and I was told someone would call me back, but no call received. My phone # (510)219-2683. The inside of the van could definitely use a deep cleaning. But rest of exterior fine. Really convenient and easy online rental process and quick pick up process. I would have appreciated someone checking out the van condition upon drop off so I could trust I wouldn't be accused of something later on being that it is parked in a gas station lot. The online / phone check-in process was more complicated than I anticipated (it was my first time using this method)... But it all went smoothly. Next time I'll probably just work with a rep in person, as I feel it's simpler. I made reservation over my smartphone and went to pickup location as directed. Employee told me they were not open for rentals on Sunday. I showed him the confirmation and pickup time and location on the app. He said I know it says that but we dont rent on Sundays. You can wait til the manager gets here. An hour later the manager arrived and told me the information on the app was incorrect but he would make an exception. I did received the rental however 90 mins after my scheduled pickup.Robert C.
Well I made my reservation for concord for a17 ft truck got the confirmation that night to pick it upstairs 8:30 am on the 9th I get another confirmation at 8:00 am that I have to got to Pinole to pick up a 15 foot truck and I had to pay the mileage for Pinole back to Pinole that was 48 miles extra that I was charged for the truck transmission slips big timeSHARON G.

The location was closed on Sunday, so the person working the gas station came out and stated the gas gauge was at the level needed to return it. However when I received my receipt it stated that I brought it back at 1/2 a tank instead of 5/8. I only went a total of 7 miles and yet they charged me for 3 gallons of gas. I called the 800 number only to be told that I needed to speak directly to the location. She provided me with a reference number and stated that I will receive a phone call from them within 72 hours. This was 5 days ago and no phone call. I will no longer rent from a location that is closed on the day I need to return the uhaul.Gloria N.

Our reservation address was sent to another uhaul location. It took an hour to process and locating our reservation confirmation, It did not help if the personnel on duty was new to his job as well. THIS COMMENT DOES NOT PERTAIN TO RENTAL PICK UP LOCATION! Comment for Uhaul NATION-WIDE online rental order: When I went on to Uhaul.com to make my initial Uhaul rental truck reservation, I also rented 2 dozen furniture pads. When I arrived at my Uhaul rental pickup location, the 15' truck was ready to go, but this location did not have the 2 dozen furniture pads I ordered in stock. The rental location manager informed me that uHaul unfortunately has no system to check inventory for moving supplies add-on's at truck rental pick up locations. uHaul.com can improve the customer experience for the customer by either: 1. Giving customer disclaimer that they should contact their confirmed truck rental pickup location to make sure their add-on moving supplies are available at their truck rental pickup location. 2. Creating a system for themselves (uHaul Nationwide) that is able to check specific location moving supply inventory, to make sure customer will be able to pick up truck rental AND the moving supply add-on's they ordered online from uHaul.com at time of reservation!! At the last minute, after picking up my truck rental, I had to scramble and find a different uHaul location to pick up my rented furniture pads. This was super inconvenient.Carol S.

i actually submitted a COMPLAINT regarding this matter and location about a week ago and no one has gotten back to me TO THIS DAY. i am very VERY dissatisfied with the kind of service i was given. this location is not very professional, as they passed me off to a representative that works at a neighboring Chevron that was definitely not in the mood to help me in the least bit. don't even get me started on the Richmond location representative that helped me pickup an online order. both locations, excuse my language, but FUCKING TERRIBLE.Artemio G.
