The website shows the Uhaul center is open until 10PM. When I confirmed, the attendant said Uhaul is open up to 7:30 only but they will keep in the system 10PM and would allow me to return the truck anytime before 10PM. When I got the truck, the fuel was NOT FULL. The attaendant said that's ok, just fill the tank exactly the same level you got it. Before I returned the truck, I called Uhaul and confirmed with them that I am returning the truck at 8:30pm. I was at the Uhaul return area at 8:30pm but had to refill gas. When I transacted the return, the attendant (different guy from the morning shift) was very very RUDE and charged us for extra miles for not having the fuel tank full. I explained to him that the fuel was not full when I got the truck and even showed him the document I signed. He would not listen and turned away from me while I was still talking. I told him, ok I will refill the fuel more. He responded, it's already 9pm, I am not suppose to receive the truck anymore. I explained to him, I will just gas up the truck some more in his gasoline station. I am not going to gas up somewhere else. He would not listen and rudely told me he will charge me additional $14 for gas. He also me, just by starting the truck, I would already spend $1 for gas. What??? This Uhaul ARCO is definitely lacking customer service and all they think is money. Total usurper. I will not make business with this Uhaul again ( I am planning to get another truck for another move this Saturday) and definitely will NOT refer to my friends.

Uhaul pick up place was 10 miles away from my preferred area. We were unfamiliar to this area and felt very uncomfortable having to drive in the hilly area hauling a trailer. The uhaul establishment had very poor customer service skills, did not have the appropriate hookup for lights, which my husband had to drive to a Auto zone for the needed harness to make the lights work. We were very dissatisfied and will not be using uhaul for any of our moving needs in the future. You should not send anymore customers to this facility if you value the reputation that the uhaul franchise represents.

Service was terrible!! I was there before an African American lady and because she kept complaining the guy working there just let her cut me in front of the line. RUDE!!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! WORST UHAUL EXPERIENCE OF THE CENTURY. My original reservation was made for a location in El Cerrito. Pick-up was scheduled for 12pm. I was at the El Cerrito Location when i was told my truck was not there. I then received an email stating that U-Haul changed my reservation location to El Sobrante. I did not make that change. Additionally, The rep at the El Cerrito location did not know what he was doing. I am severely displeased with U-Haul and will never do business with your company every again because of this poor excuse of client reservation management.

This is a gas station and although it may seem convenient for refilling gas to proper levels when returning, gas station clients are priority over U-Haul clients, whether you have an appointment or arrived early. I was delayed almost up to an hour due to serving other clients. Also, per the contract, there was suppose to be gas in the vehicle but instead, was empty. So again, I had to continue to wait until they added the gas, after serving the gas station customers. This was a Friday and they only had 1 person staff during both picking up of truck and dropping off the truck.

1+ hr wait for the truck. And both customer service rep over the phone promised additional milage for my inconvenience to pick up 10 miles away because truck not available. And didn't happen. Still got charged additional miles after I returned the truck.

Get someone to work the U-Haul counter instead of spliting one person between the Arco counter and the U-Haul counter. It took an hour and a half to get my truck!

If a customer is reserving a truck online, kindly advise that there may be an additional fee (up to $130) needed. Although I utilized your online check in, I still had to present a different card to proceed with the reservation. I've expressed my frustration on Twitter and to the Sales Rep who told me that they charge their own fees! I will no longer utilize this location, and if this continues, will stop using your company altogether.

First truck had leak in the side of the gas tank. Anything over 3/8 of a tank went on the ground. On return to the pickup location, they were very quick to get us into a replacement truck which worked quite well.

Please make sure the bolts to the latch that holds the dolly are on the latch.

Everything! Poor service, not helpful, nonchalant attitude, extremely incompetent, rude, no idea what customer service is! Harry is the worst employee I've ever encountered at uhaul and Arco! He lacks respect, and is a terrible multitasker to the point he threw my receipt in the garbage and had to dig it out. He tried blaming me for it and the worst part is when I attempted to pump gas at this Arco-Uhaul location, the gas gushed right out of the bottom of the tank so there clearly must've been a hole! SAFETY HAZARD! Harry did not care and told me its my problems and that l signed the contract. Rude! Unconcerned! Disrespectful! Complaints have been filed and I demand compensation!

I reserved a truck and when I went to pick up, it was not available, so I received a $50 certificate from U-Haul to be used on my next truck rental. When I presented it they did not want to accept it. After going back and forth w me and U-Haul for quite sometime, they finally did. However, afterwards they reported to U-Haul that I owe them $50. The next time I went to get a truck that I reserved, I was told I cant rent anymore trucks. This was not conveyed when I made the reservation. I did not have time to make other arrangements and ended up losing a lot of my property. This is not my fault. U-haul bears all responsibility. I have spent close to $2000 with U-haul just recently and this is how they thank me. Im done giving my money to a company that treats their customers so poorly.
