I'm not sure how much of this is the fault of U Haul versus the specific location.... I requested a U Haul for 48 hours because I was moving. Everything checked out fine on the website. Apparently, at some point before my pickup date U Haul changed my 48 hour booking to 8 hours. They sent one email prior to pick up that alluded to this, despite everything looking fine on the website. I then had to book two separate U Hauls at two separate pick up locations on back to back days. Once I had the U Hauls, the required drop off times were extremely unclear. One place said "bring back at 5pm but it's probably okay if it's before 7PM." This particular location didn't mention it, so I assumed I had it until 8pm that night like I requested online. Nope, I was charged an additional 60-70$ because it had to be back at 4pm! The entire U Haul customer experience was awful.
